Dave's Custom Tile

Dave is by far the best skilled tradesman my family has had the pleasure of working with. Beyond being skilled and extremely knowledgeable, he excels at being respectful of his clients’ time and communications. He was able to deliver a tremendous new custom shower, both on time and on budget. As a bonus, his contacts with other contractors has been a bonus.

Dave did a fantastic job. He came out and gave us a quote. Got the work done in the designated time frame and we are very pleased with the quality. We will have him back anytime we need Tile work done.

Dave and his employees are a great example of keeping the customer in mind. Dave was very easy to work with during the quotation phase and offering his expert advice and past experiences. He worked with us to choose the materials we wanted for the project. He worked around our schedule and was very efficient for the work. We would definitely work with Dave again in the future for our projects. We love our new kitchen and the highlight is definitely the flooring and back splash!

While doing a kitchen refresh, we decided to top off the project a new glass mosaic backsplash. We had originally planned on completing this ourselves, but due to time constraints we investigated having the work contracted out. Dave was one of several tile contractors we spoke with about our project, and not only did Dave beat all the other estimates but provided the best consumer experience both before, during, and after the installation. Dave and his crew arrived at the appointed time, and worked consistently and consciously thru out the day, and delivered a new backsplash far beyond the quality we expected. Would use Dave's services again, and happily recommend them to anyone.

Prepped the backsplash with new drywall. Installed tile and sealed. Dave was very responsive and stayed on his quoted price. He was fast and did an excellent job on the tile work. He also beat out everyone's price by over 25%.

We prefer to only use highly rated Angie's list contractors. We called 6 different contractor's. Dave Brown was the most responsive and cost competitive of all 6. We moved into a beautiful one year old home last year. Everything was great except the tile work was poorly done by builder's sub. Poor choice of colors and poor job with grout and ultimately had bad cracks around base of shower and loose tile around our fireplace. Dave Brown and his crew started and completed the project when they said they would. Dave installed a heated floor in the shower and used an updated design pattern to give us a beautiful master bath now and eye-catching fireplace. We love the result and have a warmer shower. Being relatively new to the Charlotte area, we rely on Angie's List and Dave Brown and Dave's Custom Tile is A+. I recommend to everyone and wouldn't use anyone else for tile work anywhere around the home.

Dave arrived on time and started to work with his crew. All of his men, as well as Dave, were very professional and stayed on the job. Any questions I had were answered with knowledge and patience. They were here from Tuesday until Friday and each day they cleaned up any mess that was made. I just can not say how wonderful this experience was. There were no problems!! They did the job and I stayed out of the way. It was great.

Dave was very easy to work with. When we contacted him he was available the same afternoon to give the estimate. We prepsented several reno options and he gave his advice and was positive that it was ultimately our choice. His estimate was spot on with the final price. He gave a contact for the glass shower door and that proved to be an excellent choice. we are very pleased with our experience with Dave.

We were impressed with Dave's website which contained several kitchen remodels similar to ours. When he came for an estimate he brought samples, one of which matched perfectly and saved us a trip to a warehouse. Dave put us on the schedule promptly and on the day of service arrived a little early to do prep. He and his team worked diligently and efficiently which we greatly appreciated. The final product was highly impressive and he gave us some tips for maintaining the tile going forward. We will definitely use him again on related projects. Lastly, his pricing was quite competitive and reasonable.

This is the third job Dave and Brandon have done for us. He has done both of our bathrooms. Always on time, does neat and clean work. Would recommend him and his work to anyone.

Overall, our experience could not have been better! Dave recommended, but did not push us to visit a tile company in Charlotte to look at samples. We did visit and therefore chose a tile that was really gorgeous and cost us very little more than we would have spent at one of the popular, commercial home supply companies. Dave took our general ideas with the tile, backsplash and setting some tile on the diagonal and he created an amazing bathroom for us! He is a highly skilled craftsman and is extremely professional in his work. He does all the actual work with an assistant who cuts the tiles as Dave lays them out. They work quickly and smoothly together. Dave's custom tile has my highest recommendation!

First of all Dave is a pleasure to work with. Very diligent and is willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy his customer. He is prompt and will quickly return your call to answer questions. He was willing to do a few things that are outside of tiling such as light plumbing work for a small extra fee. His rates are reasonable for the quality of the work he does. If you are going to do ceramic tile, use Dave because you will be happy that you did.
