"In October of 2024 Shane came out to give me a quote for yard clean up. After several calls by me, I finally got a start date. Shane called me and said they could start a day early and I was fine with that but they showed up at 5:30pm. I was told they would start at noon. The next day (actual start date) they showed up at 7:30pm and were there for a half hour and left because getting dark. I was told they would be there the next day at 9am. At 10:30am I called Shane asking where the crew was. He actually argued with me telling me they were there. So apparently I was blind. They showed up after 11am and they finished while I was out. Only half the job was done. I emailed all photos of areas not done with pic of contract for those areas quoted. In no way did Shane reach out to see if everything was done. I had to hire another company to finish what they did not do. When I got the bill, I reached out to Shane and said we need to revisit this bill because not everything done. He offered a $150 discount (via Sara's email) which was laughable and said "if ok we will send a new invoice". I sent an email back saying $150 is not acceptable and got no response. No response for 5 months! I got an email 5 months later saying my bill was delinquent but they cut the bill in half. I never received new invoice that showed bill was cut in half till 5 months after my last contact with them. They are not trustworthy and play games. If I could give a zero, I would."

A full-service lawn care company with a simple philosophy: We do it Right, On Time, and On Schedule. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Professionalism means a lot to us. We started this business to address the niche of homes with smaller yards. Our company is new and small, but our service is superior and reasonable. Fully licensed and insured. Give Lawn Panther a try. Our Yards Growl!
"They completed the French drain, fabric and rocks. However they did not compete the mulch. At the end of the day the tree up front, half the back hill was not done along with the side hill and under the stairs and the mulch was not spread out evenly around the plants and in some case still in a pile. I contacted the company and walked the grounds with him to show him. He ordered 2 more cubic yards of mulch which he charged me for. After that the side hill was not completed and under the stairs was also left undone. Contractor txt me on June 26 th that he would get it done. Nothing has been done in 2 weeks. The contractor should estimate correctly and I should not be held up to keep paying for what he messed up on. He originally said 6 cubic yards then added 2 more. Don’t know if I got the 8 cubic yards or he is that bad in estimating. The job is still not complete"

Before hiring a snow removal company, it’s essential first to ask questions to understand the details thoroughly. Since every company has different policies and snow removal methods, it’s best to clarify upfront before you’re left in a heap of snow. Some starting questions to consider include:
What are the procedures for a snowstorm? Do I need to call you each time, or do you automatically come out?
Do you wait until after the snow has stopped falling or make multiple passes throughout the storm?
What is your method of removal?
Do you use salt after the snow is removed? Is it pet-safe?
How does your billing work? Do you bill extra for blizzard conditions?
Can I sign an annual contract, or do you bill for each storm?
The cost of an annual snow removal contract is $200 to $600. This cost is significantly impacted by the area you live in. Places that don’t receive considerable snowfall might charge less for an annual contract, and those areas that get heaps of snow throughout the fall and winter can expect to pay on the higher side. In addition, property size, expected response time, and extra services like clearing a sidewalk can also impact your cost.
Yes, most states require that snow removal companies be insured under workers' compensation. This protects the employees financially if an injury were to happen (and when dealing with ice and snow, it’s possible that injury could occur). In addition, most states require snow removal companies to be covered under general liability, which would help cover the cost of any property damage incurred during the removal process.
Depending on where you live and your average snowfall, removing snow from your property yourself with either a shovel or a snowblower is reasonable. A snow shovel costs around $60, and a snowblower can range from $100 to $2,300. However, taking a DIY approach to this isn’t always the best option. In these cases, it’s best to hire a professional snow removal company:
If you have a large property or an extended area that needs clearing
If you have certain health conditions, such as mobility issues
If you want to save time or need the snow removed ASAP
If you live in an area with frequent heavy snowfall and want to offset your time spent
If you lack the space to store snow removal equipment
It’s no surprise that removing snow from your driveway makes coming and going significantly easier and lowers the risk of falling. However, it’s important to note that if you don’t remove snow from your driveway, you run the risk of damaging your paving. As the snow melts, water can seep into your driveway. This can lead to the formation of cracks. When the water freezes, this expands the minor cracks, leading to more significant damage.
