TL Painting

Felt highly overcharged for services provided. Negotiated a more reasonable price which was uncomfortable.

I was somewhat displeased by the work from the start as his crew sprayed on stain to the porch floor when there was sawdust everywhere, causing sawdust to be stuck between the floor and screen under the floor. This was very thoughtless and I still have clumps of sawdust stuck there. There were a few spots of white trim painting that was not fully touched up, however the painting aspect of his crew's work was overall quite good. The staining of the new tongue and groove pine promptly molded and degraded at about one year. I think that they used a primarily indoor product for the outside. This was very disappointing. I had to spend several hundred dollars to have several sections redone with better quality stain. In summary, I think they did a decent job painting but I would not recommend his staining work. Todd seems very professional and responsive but I do not think that his crew carries his vast knowledge and experience. As to the cost of the job, he was working as a subcontractor for the person who built our porch, so I do not know whether his pricing was competitive.

It went well. They did a good job. They got it done quickly. They cleaned up their work.

The crew never missed a day, were friendly, worked very well together. Mw wife and I were amazed at the care taken by every rew member to do a great job. Over the nearly 40 years that we have lived here we had hired several people for major work. The TL Painting crew were the best!

Came out to look at what was to be done but never got back with us with an estimate. Tried to contact twice, left message, yet no response.

The owner and crew were all nice and professional. They arrived on time every morning and let us know that they were beginning work for the day. They did a very thorough job sanding and scraping and cleaned up all of the mess from this process. The painting job is great. They were very careful to not get paint on the windows or brickwork of the house. We are very pleased with the work and would use this company in the future.

They painted two bathrooms and the kitchen. They had to mud the rooms first because they had been previously wallpapered. they were courteous, prompt and listened to any question or request made. We were more than satisfied with the results.

After explain to TLPainting what we wanted done,we were told that a proposal be brought to our house by the provider.We have not heard one word from TLPainting.

They did good job. There were a couple of stains that bled through and Todd worked very hard to fix it so they did not bleed through. There were a couple of little items that needed to be touched up and he came back and took care of them. I was impressed by the prep work and their commitment to making the complete job look good. The closest I could come to a complaint is that I wish I had been a bit more specific about sanding around some fixtures and where the shoe molding goes down before they painted. But those are minor and I was happy with their work.

They did a reasonably good job but they did not clean up very well.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased.They had to redo the glaze so they also did repairs on the windows. They did a good job of taping and cutting in. They did a pretty clean job.

The quote was for about $9800. He was very personable and showed up on time to give me the quote when he said that he would. He was very thoroughly explained what he was going to do and what he would need to do. He gave me a complete picture of the job. When the quote came through it was all inclusive and there were no hidden charges or anything of that nature. I certainly would recommend him as someone to talk to or if someone was looking into having some painting work done. I went with another contractor and didn't use him. I might consider using him in the future but I found another painter who I thought was even superior to him and the price was better too.

They were very professional and when they left I had nothing to do but hang pictures.?I will use this company again.

I called TL Painting to paint two bedrooms in my home and they did an exceptional job in prepping and painting the bedrooms. I had wallpaper up and they came in and did a very professional job and kept me updated on what was being done.When I called to obtain their services I needed the job done in a certain time frame which was ASAP and they worked around their schedule to do the job I needed. They arrived at the time they said they would each day they came and finished when they said they would. Todd and his crew are very nice and polite. I will be calling them back for another project I have on my list.

This was the second time we used TL Painting, and like the first time, the experience was excellent. All work was performed on time and was of high quality. They had to return several times to repair a woodpecker hole on the outside of the house and were very responsive about doing this. We're very satisfied with Todd and his crew and definitely recommend them!

I have used this painter a couple of times, with great results. However, in mid-2012, I requested estimates/work to wallpaper and perform some exterior trim work. The wallpaper job, for my dining room, was sub-contracted to another person....the job was grossly underesterimated and I found out the hard way -- when job was completed and sub-contractor requested payment. Several calls went unreturned for the remainder of the job -- exterior trim. Finally, I decided to leave a message that I was hiring someone else. I received a return call after that -- and, he simply stated he "forgot" about my work. I would have gladly rated an "A," based on the first two jobs, but defaulted to a "C" after my last experience.

Superb from start to finish and also one of the best estimates!!!

This is a homeowners association and we have used TL Painting the last two years. We paint and repair about twelve houses per year. Todd and his crews have been very professional, courteous and always accommodating. In this kind of work, there are often unforeseen issues that have to be dealt with. You start to replace a piece of trim and discover that the damage is deeper and wider than you thought. This makes it hard sometimes for a contractor to efficiently schedule his crews. Todd has always dealt fairly with us in handling these unpleasant surprises. One more thing, in observing the interaction between Todd and his employees, it's plain to see that people like working for him, and that means something to me.

TL Painting painted the door to match what I already had and he picked the color very well. I went with his advice. He cleaned up very well.

They came and performed as agreed. I have no complaints except had they told me that the ceiling also needed painting, I'd have agreed to it with extra cost of course. I have a stain on the ceiling that shows up now that the walls and trim is painted and I'd have payed to paint the ceiling if it had been brought to my attention. NOT A COMPLAINT just an observation. BUT the work performed was very good! I will call this painter again with no reservations. The experience was pleasant and professional. Reid Davis

He said that he wouldn’t perform the service because it was too cold now. There was nothing in the description of the deal that indicated that he would not perform the service in the fall or winter when I bought the coupon. I had also left a message with them right after I bought the coupon saying that I wanted the service in the fall and never got a response. However, when I called them again, he was very polite.

Excellent experience with TL Painting. He responded to my inquiry in a timely manner, his quote was on target and he did a very professional finish on my front door.

Everything went without a hitch and my house looks beautiful.
