Really impressed the price, quality and efficiency of the job and I highly recommend using this service should the need arise. I priced multiple options for phone repair in/around Asheville. "ON THE SPOT PHONE REPAIR" was, by far, the most reasonable in the area. They provided timely service at a convenient location for a very reasonable price. Among the other local providers I considered - none brought all those key elements together. Either price seemed inflated or I had to ship the phone for repair (and having it be out of pocket for 5 days was unacceptable for a primary line). ON THE SPOT was hands down the best option. I even considered driving to Greenville to go to the Apple store, but between the driving distance and inability to secure a spot at the genius station - "ON THE SPOT PHONE REPAIR" won out. Now after having been through this process with ON THE SPOT once - I have huge confidence in their ability to deliver and would not think twice about going back to ON THE SPOT for a subsequent repair. After initially contacting via the website, "ON THE SPOT PHONE REPAIR" responded in a timely fashion (within 30 minutes via text). Chris Kefalas, the owner, was the one to reach back out. He answered all my questions. He would personally do the screen replacement, he had a huge amount of experience replacing screens including the phone that I had, he had all replacement parts necessary on hand, and the replacement would use high quality parts (and would include both the screen and digitizer). (After the repair we discussed his parts sources, and I was very impressed by integrity of his current part sources and was thankful that I did not personally have to go through all those experiences that he had been through to get there.) We arranged to meet the following day at a convenient location. He was early to the appointment and got right to work. He worked efficiently and was very focused on the task. Chris had the entire phone disassembled and reassembled in under 30 minutes. Absolutely zero issues with the fit and finish of the job. Everything was tested after the repair with zero issues on that front as well. "ON THE SPOT PHONE REPAIR" also provided a full 90 day warranty against failure or defect (though not against subsequent accidental damage). Chris was also very open with information about the repair process and you can see his experience shine through with the details he provided. Even with the simpler replacement design of the iphone 6 - it was money well spent and allowed me to avoid a few pitfalls that I easily could have run into in trying to do this myself. For the 5c and 5s, I wouldn't have even considered trying to tackle that job. Really thankful that I found someone local, with that level of experience, demonstrated proficiency, stock on hand, reasonable prices and such timely engagement. Whew!
