Started out great working with Tina. This was a classic case of miscommunication and my error in not getting the quote in writing. I understood the quote to include the total job. The workers were to show up at 7:30 AM, but arrived at 8:30 AM. They left at 3 PM. The lead painter volunteered to come back the next day to put the second coat on the kitchen counters. When completed, I was advised there was an additional charge of $100 for the second coat on the kitchen counters. I was originally satisfied with the job and did not mention paint dripped on one of the kitchen cabinets or that the kitchen counters were not caulked. I called the owner back after thinking about it and told her I was not happy with the additional charge. She agreed to honor the original quote. She then called me back "venting" and gave me a lot of excuses that she had all kinds of expenses (gas, insurance, etc.), and that she works primarily on referrals. When I mentioned the caulking she said I should have told the painter to do it. (I thought knowing the caulking was needed was part of their job). She again said she wanted me to be happy and it was her decision to waive the extra $100 charge. This is the reason for the low "professionalism" rating. Also, the lead painter said he would have to come back the next day for the second coat. Since I was not going to be there I trusted him with a key to get in the house and advised him where to leave it. He did not leave the key and I had to bear the $360 expense of re-keying my locks. The final coat on the counters had roller strokes and some air bubbles.
Description of Work: Painted a wall in living room, hall, kitchen, 3 bi-fold doors and kitchen counters.
