The exterior home painting was less than desirable, there were many patches left undone and he sent his crew out to fix. His crew got a huge patch of white paint on our roof and didn't come to fix it until we requested it. I'm still finding patches he didn't fix today. Also recently discovered windows painted shut and weather stripping removed from window. Back then, against my better judgement, my husband hired him to paint our deck, mostly because his prices are so reasonable. The crew left patches of completely unpainted deck. When we called him, he said he checked it and couldn't understand our concern. He came out to see and acknowledged the work. The crew came again. Still didn't complete what was necessary. Came out again and "finished." The crew left trash in our yard and painted our garden hose, our landscaping rocks, our flower pots. Within two days the paint was bubbling and splitting. Did research with other painters, who speculated crew did not prep the surface and used wrong paint. We have contacted Mr. West repeatedly, asking for a refund for half of what we paid for the deck, $400. He has hung up on us, not returned our calls, picked up the phone and promised payment, picked up phone and promised to meet us with payment, etc. To date, we have not received refund. He has changed his phone number.

It's spring time and I can't open my house windows. It's time to tell about the paint job Scott West did to my house. They started out power washing the house. The problem was , they didn't have the proper equipment and chemical to remove all the mold. So, they left some of the mold on the siding and painted over it. Very few people watch the work so they never know. Next, they spray painted the house. There was a lot of scatter spray which did not go on the house. They used a paint shield which blocked the overspray but not enough to keep paint from getting on the seams of my windows and sealing them shut. BTW, they frequently had to wash the shield - meaning a lot of paint was wasted. They didn't bring drinking water for themselves so I put out ice water and nice drinking cups. They stole three of the cups. I was told they wouldn't leave cigarette buts on my property. I was picking up cigarette butts for two weeks after they left. I'm a person who avoids complaining and conflict. This experience has bothered me for a long time. The windows being painted shut pushed things over the top and prompted this review.

Everything went great. Could not have asked for faster response. Will use Scott again for anything outside my skill level.
