Jay was quick to respond about setting up a date and time to provide an estimate. He explained that he didn't do the shower enclosure replacement but could refer us to a company he has worked with in the past. He called the day of the estimate to explain he had finished up his previous stop before mine early and wanted to know if I would like him to come by earlier than our scheduled time which was fine with me. He examined the shower, explained what he could/would do, answered my questions, and was the first to get back to us with an estimate that in the end was only slightly higher than another company and a little below the third we got an estimate from. While we ultimately decided to choose a company that could do both the shower enclosure and the tile, if it had been just the tile there is a strong likelyhood we would have used them and in the future if/when people ask about the tile work we had done I plan on mentioning Jay as someone to contact for an estimate.

Jay (the owner of Raleigh Tile) was excellent to work with. The installation took two days start to finish. Each day Jay arrived early in the morning and cleaned up the workspace prior to leaving in the evening. Jay also created a path way through the work area in kitchen so that my dogs would be able to access the back yard. I was very pleased with the results and will use Jay again when I tile my other bathrooms.

The shower in our house had a plastic pan surrounded by a tile curb and tile walls. Shortly after buying the house, water started leaking through the curb. We decided to have just the bottom of the shower replaced with regular concrete and tile construction and a normal pan. Because we were leaving the wall tiles and the surrounding floor tiles, we needed something that would complement them. (Using replacement matching tiles was not an option as the particular style and color had been discontinued.). The tile suggested by Raleigh Tile, along with the little pencil tiles to separate the old and the new tiles, look great.

The job went fine overall. It was a good experience, though nothing stood out in particular.

I was very impressed with Jay's workmanship and professionalism. Jay quickly returned my phone calls and emails and was a pleasure to work with. Each morning Jay arrived on time and cleaned the workplace after completing his work. Jay also laid down a path on the first night where I could walk to let me dogs do their business in the back yard. I wish Jay offered more home services, because I would use him again for additional projects.

The owner comes out and does the work himself and his son helps out with some parts, too. It is not finished, but so far it looks good. He is prompt and professional and the tile that is up looks very pretty. He cleans up well after himself and lays down tarps in his work area. Everyday when he leaves the bathroom was left clean and there was no mess from the work performed each day. He gave me his cell phone number so that I could call if I were out looking for tile and needed his expertise.

The work was completed as scheduled and on time. The final cost was exactly as estimated. He did a complete cleanup of the bathroom and hauled away all of the material removed. I waited a year from completion to make sure there were not any problems before I made this report. This was one of the most professional installations I have had done.

Jay Glover gave an accurate estimate & started the work when promised. He was on time everyday & worked diligently to make the deadline. He was neat, cleaned up after himself, & covered things to keep the tile dust to a minimum. He matched the tile perfectly, & his work is meticulous. I was very pleased with the quality of his work.
