tankless water heater

We've used them several times and they've always been very good. They are prompt, which is important to me.

I was in need of a plumber ASAP since we had company visiting and the leak was of course in our spare bathroom. Nicki was very friendly on the phone and had to call Joe to see if someone would be able to come out the same day to fix our shower. Nicki quickly called me back to let me know that William would be coming out later in the morning to do the work. Once William arrived he tried to fix the diverter valve that was in the shower however, it was not possible to repair so we were given a quote to install a new shower unit (we had already chosen one and purchased it at Lowe's). William's price quote was higher than one we had already received that morning - so my husband brought that up to William and they, after some discussion, were able to agree upon the same price we were quoted by the other plumbing service. My husband found William a little challenging to work with, however William called Joe and things got straightened out. We scheduled the work to be done at 7:30 the next morning. Joe called at 7:25 to say he was running a little late, which I really appreciated and was at our house by 7:40. He got straight to work and had the whole job done by 10 am. Joe did GREAT work. I was worried what the "panel" would look like in the wall, but am happy to report it looks very streamlined. Joe is very knowledgeable and efficient. He cleaned up everything when he was done - including all of the dry wall dust. We will for sure be using An Affordable Plumber again since we have some other plumbing jobs we would like done. Joe's company is going to be our go to plumbing company and one I will recommend to my friends.

Great, fast service. Really nice guys and the lady in the office is so nice and helpful. Really nice install and no mess left behind. They will be returning to help us with a kitchen remodel. I will definitely be recommending them to friends.

We can't say enough about how wonderful the owner and his crew are, and also that this company is military friendly. From the time we called to set up the appointment (the woman who answers the phone is always so sweet and helpful) to the time they are finished, you never have to worry if they were the best choice, because they truly are. From now on we will always call them first, and we don't say that unless we mean it.

Our garbage disposal was leaking under the sink. Was unable to use either sink. I called at 8:30 am. By 9:30, William the plumber called and said he would bring a disposer and was on his way. He arrived within a short period and replaced unit. By 11:30, I had a new disposal. I did get the 10% discount on labor!

David, the plumber, arrived on the exact minute of our appointment. He removed his shoes and put down a protective covering on our ceramic tiled floor. He was very polite and professional, had all of the parts on hand and didn't waste a minutes time. After performing the repairs he vacuumed and cleaned up the area. I will certainly use this company again and will ask for David.

I had a lightning strike at my home in late July. As a result, a number of electronics and appliances were fried. My hot water heater was one of those items. I called Joe Magee as I initially liked the name of his business and because he got very good reviews on Angie's List. I was immediately impressed with Joe's friendliness. He was also willing to meet with the adjuster from my insurance company to give an estimate to replace my hot water heater. The adjuster seemed very impressed with Joe too. Joe gave a very fair bid on the job and was pleasant all along the way. I did ask him if he would also install a new cartridge the same day in my bathtub valve as it was starting to leak. He said he would be glad to do so and brought along a new Delta replacement cartridge which cost $22. The entire water heater installation cost $1009. The day of the installation he had a helper who was just learning and apprenticing the plumbing trade. He too was very nice. He helped with moving my washer into my kitchen as the space where the unit goes is quite a small space in my small house. However, I did notice he seemed to ask Joe many questions so I knew he was very new at plumbing work. Joe seemed very grateful for his helper's help. At one point, the helper went outside to turn off the water from the street. In doing so, somehow water started shooting into the room where the tank was which got the manual for the water heater wet as well as the floor. Joe was upset as anyone would be but he cleaned up the water leak right away and controlled his temper which I appreciated. I know accidents happen to all of us, including me. Joe remained patient throughout with his helper. Later, I did notice that the helper left the cover off the water main outside so I called Joe afterwards regarding it. Joe promptly came back to my home to check my work in replacing the cover. He said I had done it correctly and he apologized for that happening. I was very impressed that he did not blame his helper in front of me even though it clearly was the helper's fault. Joe installed the new tank, a new valve with copper pipes and an exterior auxiliary tank. He also used caulking around the pipe going out of the ceiling of the house. He stood on my dryer to complete that fix. In doing so, the dryer vent accidentally popped out of the wall in my carport. He apologized when he saw it and later promptly reimbursed me for my handyman's replacement work on that item. He also later sent another one of his helpers over to my house to caulk around that vent outside which I appreciated. Joe also offered to install the new cartridge in my bathtub for no added labor charge the same day of the water tank installation. He was being a wise businessman wanting to make things right with me for the water tank shooting off that water briefly and for the dryer vent mishap. I greatly appreciated and noticed his efforts. Joe also offered to contact the State Water Heater company on my behalf to ask that they send me a replacement manual, which they did. The State Water Heater company also sent me a few freebies (notepads, measuring tool and mousepad), for my inconvenience. I called to thank them for that exceptional service. Several days after the installation, Joe contacted me again to make sure everything was working fine which it is. Hands down, you want this kind of plumber to do your plumbing work. He took responsibility and is honest. He later told me one of his helpers had been injured at a different job that day which had upset him while he was working at my home which is why he wanted to go back and recheck his work. I again, appreciated his honesty and thoroughness. When I need a plumber in the future, I plan to call Joe Magee. I highly recommend you do the same.

The guys arrived around 2:00 and were finished by 5:30 pm. They diagnosed the problem quickly and made the necessary repairs. They were careful to check all the faucets to be sure we had the right water pressure and confirm that all was OK.

The price was extremely reasonable. He was much cheaper than the competition. Even though it seemed to be a very difficult job, they completed it and cleaned up in only 3 hours. I was amazed by how quickly they finished. They were extremely professional and punctual. I would absolutely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others without hesitation.

I called at 8:00 Am - Repairman was at my home before 10:00. Inspection of toilet revealed that water line into toilet wasleaking - not the wax seal ! Repairs were made by replacing value inside toilet- rubber seal had deteriorated due to age. Repairman was knowledgeable - courtesy & answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this company !Service call & parts : $100.00. - Very reasonable price for services. -

Very fast turnaround, professional and troubleshot, explained every step and explored ways to save me money.

I called on Thurs, given an appointment for the next Tues. but it was not an emergency as faucet did not leak when it was turned off. Repair went fine and Joe is a very pleasant person. He had the part for this faucet with him and fixed it on first visit.

I called An Affordable Plumber on a Saturday evening because I had no hot water. Joe was at my house in just over an hour and completed the job quickly and professionally. His price for the job was well within the range if not below for coming to repair a hot water heater on weekend evening. I will call him for any future plumbing work we need. Great job!!

We noticed our water heater leaking on the Friday before Memorial Day, so I called late morning and Joe called back within an hour and came that afternoon to check it out. Our water heater was shot which we guessed, and he gave us the pros and cons of traditional vs. tankless water heaters. He came out on the next Tuesday to install a tankless water heater in our crawl space. He was punctual, professional and efficient and now we don't have to worry about water damage from the tank bursting in our attic! Would definitely use him again.

Joe arrives at exact time, very professional on questions, quick finding the problem, and offered Angie's list discount even before I asked. Did the work and at the same time, explained it to me clearly. appreciate that. He cleaned and left no mess after he did the work. Got a leak on dishwasher and asked him to check, he did the thorough check and DID NOT offer to fix it, explained clearly on the problem and recommendedme to replace with a new one, and he did not charge anything to check (involving open it up) it. He came out and told me that the leak was coming from the washing machine. He referred to me Angie's List to get ratings on appliance repair companies. He was very good and found the problem quickly.

Joe did a great job. He was right on time and didn't have a problem accomodating my request for a Saturday appointment. I called on Thursday afternoon and he came out Saturday morning. We've worked with some other larger plumbing companies in Raleigh before, and we were way overcharged. We are so happy we found Joe. He's true to his name, affordable. He also does excellent work. These are some of the key reasons we will use Joe again and can highly recommend him: He calls back the same day you leave a voice mail (as promised on his message). Ours wasn't an emergency, but he does have a direct number for emergency issues. If you have him perform the services that you need taken care of, there is no service call. Several other companies wanted to charge me between $65-$85 just for coming out to diagnose the problem. Because I had Joe perform the work, I did not have an additional service call fee. The company is small, which I love. It's Joe and two other men. They all three came out to assist with the install, and they were all great. With the bigger companies, you never know who you are going to get. I have three small children, Joe and his team made sure we weren't without a toilet for more than thirty minutes. They had at least one up and running very quickly in case anyone needed to use the restroom. The men were quiet, cleaned up after themselves, and very nice. Joe also worked with us and explained how we can get rebates on the toilets. He helped us with the paper work and explained what we needed to do. Excellent! I was glad they were willing to do the job at their regular rate, even though it was after hours. Very professional, written estimate before any work was done, stayed at the price they quoted me and followed-up with me the next day, to make sure I was happy with their service. I saved about $500 and they did not have to do that for me.
