It went very well. Brian was prompt, provided a thorough explanation of his recommendations, and a clear estimate for the repairs. I would not hesitate to recommend Macko for any service required.

Nightmare experience. Received written estimate for interior repairs for my vacation rental home and paid initial 50% down payment. Was given a 6 week estimated time frame for completion of work. Two months after the 6 week estimated time frame the work was only partially completed. Made numerous phone calls to company, leaving messages with secretary. Was told that person I needed to speak to was on vacation. There was no one else who had any idea when the work would be finished. Two months after the estimated 6 week estimate for completion and before the work was finished, I received an email with the final bill for the remaining 50%. After two weeks of then calling the company and sending emails, asking when the work will be finished, I finally got a return call from the owner of the company. When I asked when the work would be finished, he started screaming, said he was going to go to the house and rip out the part of a window that was repaired and said he was placing a lien on the property, and then hung up the phone. I sent them a check for the remainder, even tho the work was not finished as per written agreement, just to avoid any further confrontations with someone that apparently has mental health issues. Overall, after 30 years of dealing with home repair companies, Macko Construction was by far the worst company I have ever dealt with, in fact, this was the first bad experience I've ever had. The owners lack of professionalism, failure to complete the job, and threat to enter and damage my property, was a nightmare. Strongly recommend home owners take their business else where.

They're wonderful. They come whenever I need them. I have them on my list all the time. They do a variety of things and I've had them for a lot of years. They're very responsible. They're not the cheapest but you don't wanna have the cheapest. They do anything that I wanted them to do in the house. They're very good people and they do a very good job. They guarantee every work they do and they come back and fix it if it's not right. The whole company is very efficient. They don't do sloppy work at all.

In short the price was very high and do to the need to have some rotted wood replaced they would not provide a realistic cost for the repair work. The man did get out of his truck and came back to explain that some of my windows had a seal problem and Macko could do the work. This caught me off guard so I put his off and had it verified by the largest window supply company this summer and none of my windows proved to be out off tolerance. I also discussed this contractor with several neighbors who, fire chief, home owners review members and not one had good things to say about Macko.

Quality salt pressure treated lumber used. Stairs to include small landing and short set of steps turning south to beach. Very sturdy construction. Price included tear down of damaged stairs, building new stairs, and hauling old damaged wood out of area. Very reliable company.

I did have an excellent and pleasant experience. They did a great job. He told me it will take about three weeks to do the job and they did it greatly. They are one of the recommended installers and they are the one closest to me. Pricing was worth the cost for the work they did.

Macko was great to work with. We had problems with Anderson windows and they being the Representative worked with Anderson to find and fix problems. They were very patient tried every remedy to stop leaks and ultimately reported to Anderson they windows needed to be replaced. The workers they sent were very nice and did a good job, not their fault the Windows had defects from factory. We also had problems with a couple of Anderson doors that Macko helped fix. Brian also was able to get new hinges for the doors. This was something he was not required to do but went the extra mile to help us resolve problems. Anderson Window Corp. did replace all defective windows and paid to have have them installed. I am sure Macko had a lot to do with the warranty being honored. Great company and do just about any thing you need.
