Greenhouse and Nursery Service
My friend and I have been buying daylilies, hostas, and irises from the Karrikers for many years. We went this time for the mid and late season daylilies. When you arrive, the Karrikers will provide you with a list of the daylilies, prices, and locations. As you stroll thru the gardens, you write down the names of the plants that you want, and when your list is complete, they will dig up your daylilies. Their plants are very healthy. I enjoy just seeing all the beautiful flowers, but I always buy some more plants for my garden!
The Karrikers will provide you with excellent instructions about the planting and care of your new plants. My love of daylilies is attributable to the Karrikers.
I would recommend that you call before you go, especially if you are not local. Take sunscreen and wear good walking shoes.
We plan to return in early Fall for the peonies.

Greenhouse and Nursery Service
I visited Karriker's Nursery for the second time last summer. The place is awesome if you are an iris or day lily collector. Our visit was incorrectly timed to be just between the bloom seasons for iris and daylilies. I will go back again this year to see a more spectacular bloom. Shoppers are given a price list and can walk through the gardens and select the flowers as they are in bloom, so you will certainly know what you are paying for. All the plants are labelled. They will dig divisions of the plants for you on the spot, provided that it is the proper season to do so. They also have peonies which they sell clumps of in the Fall. There are potted hostas and other shade plants and shrubs. I purchased 5 hostas, and the owner identified all of them for me and told me about the growth habits and other info. The prices were very reasonable. Mrs. Karriker called us over to chat gardening and flowers and she gave us copies of the Carolina Gardener magazine. Such a nice lady. I also called her before I made the trip up from South Carolina, and she told me what to expect would be blooming and suggested alternative visit times to see the most beautiful displays of flowers. I would highly recommend this nursery for healthy plant stock and large specimens that are split and dug and ready to plant in your home garden.
