This contractor grossly underestimated the cost of the project , did poor quality workmanship, and was extremely difficult to work with. If you are considering using this contractor I would request a list of every home he has built and large remodel projects he has done since 2008 and verify those at the county building department. Unfortunately I took his list of references, which included his business partner Jack Drummond, as a accurate list. $200,000 later in additional legal fees and reconstruction costs I found that no one he has built a home for since 2008 has been satisfied with his work.

Chirs and Stacy from Mountain West Builders were excellent all the way through this project. In addition to paying attention to every detail they were prompt and kept us well informed every step through the project. A follow up audit to show the improvement in air loss was performed and showed a remarkable improvement. Most of the work was done in an area that is not easly accessable and we would never have known about the huge heat loss there. Without going through this audit, we never would have expected these gaps in a newer home. Areas in the attic (not a full attic) that could only be reached by a small person crawling around in needed to be accessed and sealed,not a job anyone would do. Several interior doors were weather sealed and overall the work was just done well and with great care. We are looking forward to about a 20 - 25% heating fuel saving this winter.
