Initial call was promptly answered and a time was arranged for Sean (the technician) to come by and look at what I had and take the computer with him. He was here within 30 minutes, surveyed the problem and stated that he would take it to the shop and call me back, when he had a chance to look it over and then give me an assessment on what it would take to correct problem. Within the hour he called me and advised that he had corrected the problem, but while doing so discovered that the support bracket for the Heat Sink, that cools the processor was cracked and broken (overheated and failed). He recommended that this bracket be replaced, but would have to order it. I advised that he should do so, but to keep me informed. He did so regularly and stayed in contact throughout this process and called again as soon as the part arrived, finished the repair and returned my computer the same day! (6 PM in the evening). Stayed to fire it up and ensure that wifi connectivity was established and computer was operating to my satisfaction. I will call him back, if and when I have any additional computer problems and concerns! Might put him on speed dial!! I HIGHLY recommend this company, as it is really hard to find this type of service anymore.

Shaun came and got my computer up and running, and reinstalled my software programs and my data within an hour!! I'm so glad I found this company on Angie's List!!

I'm learning to be more effective in researching personnel we contract to perform work. When I was looking for a licensed computer technician, I cross referenced Angie's List, the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and other search engines. The first thing I liked about North Carolina IT Professionals is that they are registered with the BBB. That tells me they are willing to stand behind their work. I contacted the NC IT Professionals on 9 July 2014 by leaving a message on their voicemail. Within a couple of hours, their technician, Shaun, returned my call. I explained that many of my electronics were recently damaged during a severe lightning storm. Most of the electronics that were connected to the tv coax cable were damaged, including my 2005 Dell XPS 600 desktop. My insurance company required that a licensed computer specialist evaluate the damage and if repairing the item is cost effective. I also requested that he come to our home to evaluate the damage. I scheduled an appointment with Shaun for 10 July. However, a couple of hours later, Shaun called inquiring if we would be interested in having him stop by that same day. He had finished early at another appointment. We agreed to have him come by that day within the hour. Shaun showed up at the arranged time, wearing a company logo shirt, clean cut, and prepared. He had his tool bag with gloves, tools, and test equipment. He was very courteous to my husband and I. We were relieved that he was not intimidated by our dog and actually interacted quite well with the dog. After verifying the connectivity of the computer and accessories, he immediately identified the power supply was now at fault. He verified that no replacement parts were available through the Dell manufacturer. He also explained that he could not verify any additional faults without first replacing the power supply. He was able to provide the information in writing for our submission to our insurance company as requested. My husband and I were very satisfied with NC I.T. Specialist. Shaun was very professional and knowledgeable on computer systems and software. We were also grateful the company respects and provides a discount to military veterans.
