Jim and his daughter did an excellent job. They were efficient and professional and did a great job of cleaning up afterward. I would definitely hire again.

Excellent work. Jim and his daughter were great. My cabinets we discovered are not level(crappy builder) but Jim was able to compensate for this in the tile work and you would never know by looking at the back splash. I would highly recommend them.

If I could give Jim a grade of A+ I would. First of all, Jim actually returned my call when I contacted him for an estimate. I had contacted a number of businesses before I joined Angie's List and only received one call back. Jim returned my call promptly each time I needed to talk to him. I can not say enough about his professionalism. His estimate was very thorough and I was not surprised by any hidden charges at the end. His "suggestions" were right on and I ended up getting Jim to tile my kitchen backsplash which I had not originally planned to do at this point. I had read a previous comment from a customer that was not very complementary to J & L Tile Works that made me hesitate but I am so glad I went with my instincts. Ladies, if you want someone that you can trust not to "stick you" J & L is the person to call.

Jim gave me the estimate and Dave did the actual work with Jim visiting the job site on a regular basis. The job took about ten days to complete. We removed a bathtub and Dave constructed a 78' walk in shower to include the shower floor and walls and also tiled the bathroom floor. The quality of work was outstanding and we have experienced no leaking whatsoever. I have recommended his work to others on a number of occasions. I recently had a local contractor renovate my kitchen and used his tiler...what a huge mistake! I now have an uneven stone floor which is capable of cutting one's feet..,I rue the day I did not contact my favourite tiler to do my kitchen floor!

The work that was done was to cut and reset the trim around the tile was done very well but to have re done the grout for the tiles did not last any longer than the original work. The grout cracked and there was spots where the tile guy only used linen chaulking to fill in the spots where the grout should have been put. The tile guy that did the work was not a regular that has always worked with this company. He also was told that he was suppose to paint the walls which he was no aware of until I asked him about it and he had to call to confirm with Richie (Rep for the Company) if that was true. It just seemed that the company tried to get one person to do everything for a low price without get the proper people to do a better quality job. Needless to say this bathroom remodel has been a total nightmare from start to end and this was just the icing on the cake.

J and L Tile Works Inc J and L Tile Works Inc, had a subcontractor (Dave Dennis) do the tile work in my bathroom, and he was super, super good, a perfectionist. He was here for a month and was like family. Jim, from J and L Tile Works Inc, gets the workers to do the job, but he did do some other work for us. Pricing was reasonable.
