Very fast to answer call and come assess. Just moved in had no mower. I gave specifics on mowing, trimming, and where I had new seed planted. We agreed on a price and he came promptly the next day. The mowing was great, but no weedeating around lifted roots or the ditch. (Which still had that same crushed Pepsi can someone littered in the my ditch days before, only this time mowed grass clothed it.) When I got home it felt very unkept for such a small yard. I felt it was completed by a neighborhood child. Also he forgot about trimming up only 4 small hedges touching the house. I dropped a check off at his home business and mentioned for the price I was paying he forgot the hedges. He said "I don't remember us discussing that." I gaffed politely placing that cash tip back into my pocket, because I walked the small perimeter with him and gave him visual specs of what was wanted and what to look out for IE: roots, hedges, new seed, and his fee. He then said, "Well I guess I can come over sometime tomorrow and trim those hedges if your not satisfied." I declined politely, paid double what I should have, and no wonder he didn't leave a sign in my yard. I wouldn't be proud of that work either. Nice family man he seemed. Must just be new to business in general. If he would have just came over and trimmed those hedges anyways without charging me or mentioning it, I would have noticed and gave him another run. No go on customer service.

Face to face introduction and overall understanding I thought went great. I knew he was a local guy starting his own business so that's why I wanted to give him the business. Plus what I was asking for was a simple grass mow and hedge clipping. I will tell you that his custom business sign was NOT placed on my lawn and would not be. I'm surprised he places his sign on half the people's lawns that he does because they look not so good I would be embarrassed.
Description of Work: We discussed mowing the front and the back lawn which is incredibly small we use a weed eater to do it. Trimming up the bushes in front of the house. When I got home I was unpleasantly disappointed. For $45 I got 1/2 of my grass cut. To be even more explanatory on size and fairness here, half of my front yard I have done myself planting seed for grass a garden xcetera and asked him to not even touch that side. He listened to that part all right. My 11 year old son could have done that better with weed eater for 10 bucks and trimmed my bushes too. They're were all kinds of crap in the gutter left, like rubber hoses and bottles, Etc. No trimming of bushes at all, and not even a finished mowing of my backyard. I feel very unheard and ripped off. I called about the matter and the owner said he doesn't remember me mentioning trimming the bushes and he was sorry about the other part of the lawn he didn't know it was there he guessed and he asked if he could come back and finish the lawn at least, but was going to charge me more for trimming the shrubs? Very unprofessional. Of course I said no thank you.

very dissapointed with this landscaper. we planted 2 rosemary plants and they weeded them down. we had a mint plant growing and they cut that down as well. we thought that we would get a little decorative lawn fence to let them know not to mow the mint down again but they removed it, cut it down once again and put the fence back. then they also weeded down a sage plant that i planted. these are open and obvious plants that are easily seen and they are not covered with other weeds or easily missed. anyone that is in the business of landscaping should be able to recognize rosemarys and sage plants. i am at my wit's end as it is apparent will be unable to ever plant anything without them destroying them.
