Stay away from them. Everything about the whole thing was just a mess. They didn't show up on time half of the time and they tried to rip me off with one liner. I checked what I bought and they told me what I had bought and I actually just happened to be looking in the box and I found out it was a different smaller millimeter gray line which was exactly a little bit but it wasn't what I thought I was going to get. It was a shoddy performance. When the work was done, I had to do a lot of the work myself to bring it up to the standard I wanted to bring it to. It's over and I will not use them again and I hope no one else will either. After I argued with them, they brought the price down so it was not actually too bad in the end but it took a lot of doing to get them to agree to that besides the fact that they were going to charge me $500 extra for a liner that I didn't even have. I was lucky to be on the spot. Unfortunately, it might be a long time until I have to get that thing replaced but they taught me a lesson. I heard other horror stories from somebody I bumped into and they had actually much worse than I did. The only reason I used them was they were the representative of Medallion Pools in this area where I live and that's why I went to them because I have an old Medallion pool and I figured they were the right people to go to but the professionalism didn't exist.

Chris Cash/ Cash Pools broke ground Dec.7, 2011 today is july 27 2012 our pool is still not finished, and we can't swim in it. Chris Cash sold us a bill of goods. our pool is terrible. that man LIED to us repeatedly, First his boys got in some wreck and killed the hole crew, that was a horrable event. that happened in the beginning of January 2012. we tried to be respectful, gave him a month before calling to find out about getting our pool done. 2 weeks ago he stood in my driveway and told me he tried to commite souicide by cutting his wrists, he actualy showed me the scars, then told me that he can't stand the pressure of everyone complaining to him all the time and is gonna go bankrupt, close his bisiess and open up under another name so he can start over...wont return our calls. just hired another company to finish it, but we're still out our salt generator, and our ladder for the deep end. we had to go out and buy all the equipment to clean the pool, and worst of all there is a leak someplace in the pool, oh, and no cover...
Description of Work: spent almost 8 months putting in our 16x32ft pool, 8 months. it still isn't finished, still can't swim in it. made a mess of our yard. made a mess of our fence

From start to finish it was extremely stressful, maddening, frustrating, irritating and a terrible decision on our side hiring this company
Description of Work: I'm not sure there is enough space to tell you how HORRID Cash Pools was to our home, our yard, our animals, etc. We hired him to install inground pool 16x40 - to include concrete around pool. Chris Cash is one of the most irresponsible contractors that I've had the displeasure to do business with. He originally told us no more than three weeks to install our pool. It is now 2012 and it's still not completed correctly. My husband and I would take a planned day off of work to accomodate what Chris Cash would tell us only to have him not show up after we'd reconfirmed dates/times with him. I missed a total of four days waiting for him to have him not call or show. When the work began we explained we had three dogs and had to be home when he was working to stay with our dogs. He would show up on days that he wasn't supposed to be there. He took down our back privacy fence to make it easier for his workers (hah - that's a joke) to come in and out of our yard because we had locked our gate to stop him from entering. They hopped the fence for a while before he just blatantly removed out fence. When we got home our dogs were all out ; thank goodness nothing happened to them. While they were driving in and out of my back yard with the fence down, they were running over the fence fabric and poles they pulled out of the ground. Just unbelievable! To this day the poles, when put back up, are all bent. We had a purple magnolia that was a gift that we transplanted when we built our home. We asked him before groundbreaking if that needed to be relocated as it was special to us. One Saturday when he did show with that mini back hoe, we were sitting on our screen porch watching his EVERY move, he CONTINUALLY ran in to our tree. My husband had to run outside, stop him and literally dig up what was left of our tree with two branches being broken off before we could stop him. He ran over one of our established trees that we left on the lot when we built the home - he didn't say anthing about it until I saw it laying by the tree line. He installed the wrong generator on the pool and we had to request, over two months, for him to come back to change it out. The pool liner is SO WRINKLED it is literally like a pocket flap in over six areas of the shallow end. To date, that has never been fixed. My husband and I went on vacation for a week. I called Chris and informed him that under no circumstances was he to finish the pool and/or put in any water. I called him again the night before we left for our trip. While on our cruise, our daughter called us. Our 10 year old German Shepard fell in to the pool because Cash Pools came to our home (probably cause he knew he wouldn't get confronted all week by us) and filled the pool. By the Grace of God my father was staying at our house during our trip, and he was 88 at that time, shuffled out there with his cane, grabbed our dog by her collar with his cane, and pulled her to the stairs on the shallow end. Does it get any worse than that??? The price included the pole with net for cleaning; he gave us one of his old poles with filthy, white tape all over it. Now let's talk about the concrete. We paid extra to have additional poured. He was SO CHEAP, he had his so-called workers come out to set up the molds. They didn't dig the areas deep enough; supposed to be a minimum of 6" (we found that out the hard way) nor were they level. When the concrete workers arrived, did their business, he informed us that it wasn't deep enough AFTER they poured it. So now three years later the concrete is all cracked, one section has dropped and broken off so it's a trip hazard, and it's just crumbling around the edges of the pool. Chris Cash had the kahunas to add our name as one of the people he owed $$ to when he claimed bankruptcy. We received a letter from a lawyer about that; he claimed he owed us $12,000. I believe Chris is a good person but has absolutely NO business sense and takes on too many jobs at once so he's running around like a crazy person and everyone is getting short changed in the quality of work they are producing. PLEASE don't go for the cheaper price - you get what you pay for and in this case we are

In planning for our pool we contacted between 5-7 pool contractors for recommendations and a quote. Cash Pools was the quickest to respond and offered ideas on the type and size of pool. We decided to go with a one-piece fiberglass pool and Cash Pools was the lowest in price offering to do extra work involving removal of an existing septic tank at no extra charge. The preliminary work involving permits, certification and regulations for installing a pool in coastal area was much more than anticipated. Chris Cash spent extra time on the phone and face-to-face meetings with permit specialists, engineers and planning departments to obtain permit approvals. Though frustrated with the process, Chris never mentioned that this would cost more due to the extra time. After all permits were acquired he started the process of removing the septic tank. An individual wanted the tank so Chris took extra care and time in removing the septic tank so it could be used again. He then excavated and prepared everything for the placement of the pool. The one-piece fiberglass pool was delivered and Chris arranged for a crane to lift and place the pool. All plumbing, electrical and accessories were installed with-in the next few days. This pool was installed at my vacation home so I was not able to be present for all work but Chris communicated with me on every phase of the installation. He made sure I was informed and offered ideas when problems arose during the process. I could not have been more pleased with the overall project and would recommend Cash Pools for any pool or hot tub installation.
Description of Work: Numerous phone calls and meetings to determine cost, size, type of pool and accessories for pool. Meetings with local officials for permits and standards for installing the pool for a coastal flood plan area. Excavation and removal of septic tank on property to allow room for the pool. Excavation and preparation of lot to allow for installation of one-piece figerglass pool. Arrange delivery and crane to unload and secure pool. Back-fill, install all plumbing and electrical needed for pool operation Advise and help plan appropiate decking material for pool.

It's almost 10 months since we signed the contract with Cash Pools and the project is STILL not done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! Here is the letter we wrote to Mr. Cash: Mr. Cash, I’m writing this letter probably more for closure for me than for you. It appears that you are going to try to cheat us one more time by not installing the safety cover that was in our contract. For the life of me I don’t understand how you’re still in business or how you can look at yourself in the mirror in the mornings. “Your pool is our reputation” definitely isn’t an accurate assessment of your business. We are definitely not satisfied with numerous issues that have occurred during our ‘business’ with you – the major items I will list below. 1. You broke ground on this pool 17 June 2010. Here it is 7 April 2011 some nine months later and you still haven’t finished the project. 2. You embezzled our money and used it for other projects. You admitted to this on the phone with my wife on more than one occasion. 3. You tried to install a used spa, and then when confronted and shown proof (sun-faded dials that could not have happened in a brand new hot tub) you continued to lie about it. 4. You misjudged the measurements for the spill-over into the pool. After trying to ‘install’ a cheap piece of plastic, you then had to build an inferior rock formation so the water would reach the pool. 5. Your customer service skills (including your wife’s) have been completely unprofessional. You and your staff have acted like your company was the victim throughout this ordeal. I’ll be glad to show you the 5-page paper my wife has kept documenting each and every ‘work’ day and phone call she has had with you or your wife. ..or the 100+ photos taken of your ‘work’. 6. On 22 February 2011 the worker hauling dirt out of our yard broke our rear gate latch and of course you tried to lie your way out it. 7. The skimmer was installed in a manner in which the basket can’t come out due to your brilliant design. 8. The special ‘cement treatment’ that you installed to cover up the cracks in the cement that you couldn’t afford to fix is now peeling and does not cover up the cracks. 9. There are still visible cracks in the cement. 10. The net (off the pole) used to skim the pool surface disappeared after your last visit on 28 February 2011. 11.You have been telling us that you’ll deliver the safety cover “as soon as I’m in your area” when your business is located only 20 minutes from my house. I’m also suspicious that some of the items you installed are not brand new. When I have the time I’m going to research the serial numbers to see what used pool items are in my backyard. Too bad you don’t really conduct business by your slogan “Your satisfaction is my reputation” or “your pool is my reputation”. Your slogan should be “Give me your money and I will screw you”. You can bet we’re not done with this issue and your shoddy work. I’m going to share this (by email) with all my friends in Jacksonville and encourage them to share with their friends to get the word out about you. I’m also going to contact the Jacksonville Daily News to see if they would be interested in doing a little story on our ordeal. Perhaps I will also contact a local TV station. And of course the thought of legal action is still there, especially if we do not see the delivery and installation of the safety cover. I expect you don’t have the safety cover. If you do, you probably don’t have the right size and would more than likely perform an abortion like you did with the hot tub. I understand that you have told my wife that we do not owe you the remaining money on the contract. I suppose that is to appease us somewhat because of the difficulties we have experienced. I can tell you that it doesn’t help…because of the shoddy work that is permanently in my back yard and your absolutely appalling customer service. In closing I would like to further discuss this with you personally. I would be more than happy to meet with you. AGAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK!!!
Description of Work: Work began 17 June 2010 with excavation for an in-ground pool and hot tub in back yard. It is now 2 December 2010 and the pool and hot tub installation is still not complete. This is an update as of 28 June 2011. As you can read, work began one year ago. As of this date Chris Cash has not completed the contract. We are still waiting on the safety cover that was specified in our contract. I last spoke to Chris in March 2011 and he told us that he would deliver the safety cover the next time he was in our area. His place of business is 20 minutes from the house. I guess it's time (well past time) to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office.
