DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!!!!.This is the same guy that owns a couple of companies...He uses different names,addresses,numbers...The man's names are: Ludlow Daw,Ludlow Daw Jr.,Ludlow Ray Daw, Ludlow Ray daw Jr.,Ray Daw, Ray Daw Jr.,Ludlowray Daw, etc.. I called a company listed in the newpaper called A to Z concrete, looked it up online with no bad reviews..(I didn't have Angie's list then) If you check other companies like "All about Concrete" funny they have same number as A to Z, if you check "BC Concrete" funny they have same address as A to Z Concrete...hmmm do the math...well anyway he came out as soon as I called him -withing 15 min as he claimed he was pouring two other jobs like 5 min from me on a street that I went and checked and noone has had any concrete poured in years..He said his name was Patrick. I told him I needed pad done for an RV we purchased and had to get home from 3 1/2hours away. They were holding it for us as the first 2 guys we hired did a no show so I thought this was good...he came right out. He stated it would be done in 3 days-said it was liquid gold...We paid up front $2,400.00.-payable to Ludlow Daw which to me sounded like a company name not a personal name so I didn't connect at that time. At first it was going to be a pad then we talked and decided on footers as well. He came out next day in a white van-no tools and one guy....hmmm?...left to go to local hardware store to buy rubber boots for all the mud. Then it was a game back and forth -phone tag when he was coming. It did rain on and off which of course didn't help- didn't even put plastic on to keep dry-my husband did. Then I was told his mom in hospital-I felt terrible so excused that of course...then he stated he would be back to get done by Friday. (On week 2 now).We had 4 beautiful days in a row to work -he didn't show. Finally after a month I was done as Rv dealer was going to charge for storage. I asked for money back and he said ok -never happened. I went to concrete yard and they gave me a good company so the job was done in 3 days. They even stated that the previous digging was not right as it was 4 inches some areas and 2 inches other. Here is the kicker: my instincts were telling me right on the first week to do some checking after meeting him,,,,well I did and found the rap sheet with felonies, pics etc. I have a folder full ! I went to magistrates office on March 15th and took it up with them and they have issued a warrant because the magistrate new the name(s) as soon as I said it and he made a few phone calls and had more stuff from JPD. I am now waiting for civil court. everything is a lie-do not believe as I did-thought he was very nice...

Not good. They definately were prompt at answering my initial call & after I got an estimate - promptness & timelyness kinda went out the window. They overestimated the 'grade/slope' of our new sidewalk & patio - not real sure if they knew exactly what they were doing....brought it up to them, they said it was supposed to be that way & it was not supposed to be that way; when walking down the sidewalk u can definately feel it's got too much slope/grade. I wasn't satisfied at all; they also did not uphold their promise to correct it; dodged all forms of trying to make contact with them, then recieved accusational phone calls from the owner of the company; I should of taken them to small claims court. Will never ever do business with the owner of this company.
Description of Work: We had an additional patio & sidewalk poured from the edge of existing driveway, down the side of the house & around back to meet up with existing screened patio.

He underestimated the amount of cement it would take and when I called him on it he assured me it would be ok. When everything was all done the cement slab is unsquare, unlevel and uneven. There is a 6 inch slope when it should be level. Our door touches the floor on one side and has a 4 inch gap on the other. Just a horrible job. He put a huge pile of plastic in my neighbors woods and was just very unprofessional.
Description of Work: I needed a 18 x 26 ft. cement slab poored for a garage floor.

They were late. The main guy said he was hung over and had to go to court for a personal matter. Didn't get into it much. They didn't have all the tools needed and had to go buy more despite the fact that he gave an estimate, so he saw what needed to be done, and we accepted the estimate and his work. They didn't dig into the dirt enough to make a thick enough slab and such. They didn't back fill with the dug out dirt and grass after removing the frame the following day. They did fill other holes and such on our yard with dirt. That was nice. The rest of the dirt dug out what dumped in piles and never spread around. The concrete is not level in the driveway extension and pools in one spot when it rains. The walkway from the driveway extension to the patio in the backyard, passing through the gate, is 3 feet, then 4 feel through the gate, then three feet. The curve is awkward, but works. The concrete is extrememly rough, not tamped out enough and combed too late, it appears. The best part of the job is the slab for our shed. It was very smooth and perfectly level...so they do a great job on a floating slab for sheds! The concrete splattered on our siding, that won't come off. The left a lot of concrete pieces all over...we had to clean this up. I would not recommend them for driveway, walkway, or patio...unless you insist on keeping it a smooth surface, specify EXACTLY how you want something, and supervisor the whole time. They are AWESOME at the solid concrete slabs...stand alone...great job there!
Description of Work: 30x10 foot squared driveway addition, 10x10 foot squared patio extension on existing concrete, 32x3 sidewalk passing through fence gate, 10x10 slab for shed, to be built later.
