+ -1 moreI called and left a message on their phone. He returned my call in less than 2 hours and agreed to come right away. He found several breaks in line and valve. Left to get additional parts and returned promptly and fixed the pipes. Called me that evening to explain what he had done ( he had told my mother, but wanted me to know as well)
Description of Work: After days of extreme cold, pipes burst at mother's house in the storage room where the hot water heater is located. She is 88 and lives by herself.

Description of Work: Did not use this plumber as he was "busy" and could not help. However, he gave me the name of another plumber who apparently was out of business or not answering any calls. Tried to locate the other plumber in the phone book; however, it seems he is not listed.

+ -1 moreI called them in the early afternoon. They arrived on time and went to work to learn the problem. When it was determined that replacing the line was the best option. Some time later they returned with some parts and activity began. During the dig it was determined that some additional parts were needed. It was to be a run to his shop is about 10 minutes away. It took nearly two hours. As previously indicated, they did not preplan how they were to open the trench and then close it.
Description of Work: Water line from my house to the meter box apparently broke. Instead of fixing the line, the decision was made to replace it. The price was as expected as I have learned what others were charged. However, the work was not very professionally done. The connectins were adequate but not clean; the refill of the trench was sloppy and no provision was made for my turf. During the project, additional parts had to be obtained, and additional tools. This is mostly a father-son operation with the father holding the plumbing license. The son does the heavy labor with an assistant occaisionaly. I've hired the team for work with government and for personal work. If you want inexpensive, but not necessarilly high end plumbing, this may be for you. To their credit, in my personal case, they understood that we were without water service, and they worked late into the evening to restore it. The price stayed the same, although I realized they had not made an adequate estimate for some of the items they would need and I gave them more. Do get a price up front and do give specific instructions on how you want it performed. Do get a timetable and understanding of what will be needed and how it should be done. If this involves areas where appearance is important, make provisions yourself for corrective action.

+ -1 moreSewage Pump alarm tripped and I called the provider at 9:00 A.M. The tech arrived within 90 minutes and despite rain and fire ants, completed the repairs, including trip for parts in good time. Also, when I asked about work on water pumps, the tech sadi they coulod do the work but were not the best at it and recommended another provider that I knew of and had used in the past. The recommendation was exactly right as the other provider was very good. I was impressed with the honest feedback. Then work was done efficiently and professionally. I will use this provider again.
Description of Work: Diagnose and repair a sewage pump failure. Replaced the float and the pump motor.
