Medlin's Plumbing

I am a property manager and real estate broker and have used Medlin's plumbing many times. He was the only plumber willing to install a clients self purchased hot water heater. He has always been accomodating to all of the clients requests. He completes the work efficiently and in a timely manner and his communication is always great! Thanks David!

It took some time, but they worked really hard to make sure the job was done right after it turned into a complicated mess. They also killed a copperhead snake that was on the walkway that I had never seen.

Insists on being paid up front and insults customers. Can not follow instructions well.

They were prompt and thorough and in and out in 30 minutes.

David was great to work with. Honest and knowledgable. He was even able to get me a larger and nicer water heater than I originally planned on for my house and stay within budget. Install was clean and professional. Will use David again in the future if need be.

Dave picked up the new water heater at Home Depot and arrived on site with time to spare. The installation went smoothly. Once completed, Dave discussed the operation of my pressure reducer valve (PRV) which may need replacement in the future. We also took the opportunity to "chew the fat" and swap "war stories". In searching for someone to install my hot water heater Mr. Medlin was the first to return my call, almost immediately after submitting my estimate request. After discussing the service and price, a date for install was set. And it was sooner than I expected but was glad about the availability. Mr. Medlin was promp courteous very reasonable in price. I would recommend and hire again.

Dave Medlin is an easy guy to work with, a great personality yet sticks to the business at hand. Medlin plumbing did a good job for us on replacing our old water heater. Mr. Medlin called me on the phone asked a few questions and had me send him a photo of my old water heater. He gave me a price which was very reasonable. Hundreds of dollars less than the competition. He emailed me a contract. He showed up a few days later. He was on time and completed the installation within a few hours. He cleaned up and hauled the old water heater away. How can you ask for more? I would highly recommend him.

They were willing to explain everything they did to me and told me things I could do on my own if I wanted to change the water pressure. I will definitely hire them again!!! Replaced 50 gallon gas water heater and added expansion tank. Scheduled work within 24 hours of call and met schedule. Work completed workmanlike and professionally.

I had several pleasant email and text exchanges with Dave Medlin while I was investigating my alternatives. I provided photos of my present unit so it was easy for Dave to provide pricing and alternatives. I was ready to hire, but unfortunately relied on misinformation on the Angies List page- it said that this firm was not licensed. So I went elsewhere. Turns out that this company, in business for many years, is actually licensed. I do not know why Angies List provided incomplete information.

Immediate response to our request. Dave gave a good, fair quote and scheduled us very soon. They did fast, expert work installing a new water heater. Very satisfied.

The installation seemed to have gone well but 4 days later my husband and I took back to back showers and the hot water did not hold the temperature. I called David Medlin and he came back to my house with his assistant and tried to convince me this was normal for a 40 gallon electric tank. I told him it was hard to believe a.new energy efficient water heater would not hold the temperature. He told me to call Rheem because it was under warranty. When I called Rheem they asked me why the plumber was not calling them. They said they would walk him through a diagnostic review. When I call David he refused to come back saying it was a warranty issue, even though he had not even attempted to look at the unit. I told him he was not being very professional and that he needed to provide some customer service or bring me a new unit. He was adamant about not coming back then realized he was wrong and said he would replace 2 parts. I decided I did not want this man back in my home doing work he was reluctant to do. I called Rheem and told them I needed their help. They sent out a local plumber who did a diagnosis with Rheem technicians on the phone. The problem was with the two thermostats. David Medlin had not set the thermostat correctly and according to manufacturer's specification. It was an easy fix. It was set at 90 degrees and should have been 120 degrees. The visit lasted 60 minutes andI now have a fully functional water heater. THANK YOU RHEEM. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DAVID MEDLIN PLUMBING.

I called because of a water leak. He came out the next day and it was fixed within 30 minutes.
