Melida's Cleaning Service

I have been using their service for about a year. Everything started out very good. They were coming on time and sending the same people and then it started to go downhill. They started to be late more often. I was told I would always get the same 3 or 4 people, which they started to switch them out as well. Even the quality of the cleaning has declined as well, for the first couple of months it was great and then it started to get a little worse, to now I have to walk through my home and take days fixing issues they should have addressed while they were cleaning. The last appointment they were supposed to be here around 10am, but they did not arrive until 1pm and did not even call to let me know they were running late. I had to call her and she responded in a text saying that the last house they were supposed to clean the person was not home and they waited an hour for them to get home. I did not appreciate the fact that she did not have the consideration to even call and let me know that they were going to be late. I have also asked them to just give me a time that she could show up, I am very flexible with any day of the week, I just need to know a specific time they could make it. She has not responded to me about this. I always have my home prepared for them to just come and clean, I removed things off of the counters and make sure furniture is properly moved. When they leave my pictures on the walls are all slanted and things are moved around from where they do not put things back appropriately. Today, they arrived early, but there was only one person I have had in the past, so they will not know what I need done. I have now had issues with communication with the cleaners. I had to ask them if any of them had been here before, only one that could speak minimal English said she had been here once. I was trying to explain everything I would like done, but there is a communication barrier. I have tried to contact Ms. Melida about this about an hour and a half ago and she has still not responded. I need her to be able to communicate what services I need done and being a holiday weekend I really need this service done properly. I am not sure what is going on, but I need some type of communication.

Incredible job on my deep clean service! Extremely hard working girls! I was so impressed that I am hiring them for regular scheduled cleanings! I got their name off of Angie's List based on their reviews. I am so pleased. I have used many other cleaning companies & this group is the best by far! You won't be disappointed!

My experience went very well. The staff was professional and did a very good job. I would use this company again in the future.

They are cleaning for us right now, and they come out every 3 weeks. Melida the owner is willing to listen, and getting the problem fixed. They are pretty quick, they have a crew of 4 and they kind of fly through here. The lady who does the hardwood floor, does not do as well as the others, and has left debris here. I have let Melida know, and she is working on it. Melida came out and she saw and put her finger to the floor and said it was disgusting. They don't speak English, and according to Melida, the supervisor speaks English but she pretends not to know it when here. I think they are not perfect yet, but they will get there once we have everything worked out. We were supposed to get a 10% discount if we booked her through Angie's List, and I don't think she knows we got her through Angie's List. She quoted us one price once a month, and one price for every other week, and we wanted once every 3 weeks, so she quoted us something in between. I had a head ache the day she came, and so I didn't want to push it.

Excellent cleaning service. The A rating is well deserved. Melida's has been cleaning my home since September and has done an excellent job.

I contacted Melida to get a quote for weekly or biweekly cleaning. She got back to me almost immediately and scheduled a time that week to come out and give me an estimate. She arrived on time and was very professional. She told me that she would a deep clean for $195 and then a biweekly clean for $110. She then contacted me with a dare and time for the deep clean. On the scheduled day her team arrived on time. There were 4 people on her team and they spent 4 hours cleaning. Everything was done to my expectation. She worked non stop. The team was friendly and professional. I can't wait to get on the schedule of a regular cleaning. Thank you Melida.

Melida came to my home for a free estimate and determine what it would cost for her once a month service. She listened to what I wanted and explained in detail what her cleaning crews would perform. Unfortunately she was not able to come the following Tuesday along with her crew, but sent me 4 of her wonderfully professional staff. They were friendly, polite and most efficient and my house looked and smelled amazing when they were done...I am some what of a clean freak and a tough marker. Trust me when I tell u I did the WHITE GLOVE test....Excellent! I had 2 minor issues not worth mentioning here, but felt I should share with the owner. She was happy to hear my feedback and I was happy that she listened and did not blow me off. I look forward to a long term relationship with this business and have already recommended to some friends!

Melida's cleaning service is great. They do quality work at a very reasonable price. They are courteous and respectful and always answer your questions. Melida took the time to ask about our preferences for cleaning products, explained what things we should consider when treating and cleaning our wood floors and more. I definitely recommend them.

They make everything look like new including the range and microwave. They clean our hardwoods and dust our Venetian blinds. They are very thorough and the house smells so clean when they are finished. They are awesome!!

During my search Melida came out to my house within a couple days to review my home and services and then gave me a first time cleaning cost, which is common between house cleaners, then she gave me the bi-weekly cost. The initial cleaning was very extensive and detailed, took 4 girls 4.5 hrs to clean 3400 sq ft home. They are hard working women, and don't waste any time once they step into your home. The routine cleaning would take 3-4 ladies 1 to 1.5 hrs to clean, which was impressive and they did not take any short cuts. Consistent job every time. I recently just stopped the service because my wife has decided to quit work and stay home, so without the additional income we had to stop the service. We will definitely miss Melida's service it was so nice coming in to a completely clean home. With 2 young kids and 2 dogs it doesn't take them long to mess up a place. I am sure if my wife ever decides to go back to work we will definitely call Melida to start her service again. Highlights: On-time and consistent cleaning.

Like many of the other top-rated services here in Charlotte, she said they do an initial "deep cleaning" for $185, then a charge of $115 for standard fortnightly cleanings. Melida showed up on time for the estimate walk-through, and was professional and polite. She answered my questions (I had several) and seemed to really know her stuff. We scheduled the "deep clean" for a week after. It took three hours, and both my wife and I were amazed at the systematic energy and proficiency of the operation. They cleaned places we've never gone (and will never go). They climbed step-stools and ladders, they crawled on the floors, they moved stuff around. We were incredibly impressed. | |I was skeptical of the "deep cleaning" process when Melida first told me about it, but I'm a believer. Can't wait to see how the regular cleanings go. But for now, we're very, very happy with the choice of Melida's service.

My experience with Melida is excellent. She is professional and does a good job of keeping in touch. When she is with the crew during the initial cleaning, the quality is excellent, but she only came with the crew the first time. Without her, I give her crew a B rating because they seem to go so fast that they miss some things.

Everything looks spotless and it smells wonderful. They really pay attention to the details. One of the main reasons I need a cleaning service is because I have a dog who tracks dirt in the house and sheds, but after Melida cleans my house, you would never know it! She also does not mind that my dog is home while her crew is cleaning and I'm sure he does not leave their side the entire time they are here. Melinda's crews have been cleaning our home for over 4years. Due to the nature of my work I've often had to change the schedule at the last minute b/c I needed to sleep during the day, etc and Melinda has been VERY flexible about working w/ us. Our house smells so good when I come home after a cleaning. Even my young children compliment the service. I also look forward to seeing how they will have fluffed the pillows on the couches and beds. Try as I might, I can never recreate the scene. So far they have been very respectful of our home which is very important to our family. Any time I need to reach Melinda, all I do is text her. Simple!

Unfortunately, due to scheduling I will not be able to continue using her.

Some of the areas that Melida's team cleaned had not had attention for a very long time. Melida and her team did an amazing job, far surpassing my expectations. They worked very systematically, top to bottom, vacuuming and mopping last. The whole place was gleaming and smelled fantastic when they finished. Very professional service. I will be hiring them from now on!

Melida and her crew are punctual, pleasant and very thorough. We have a large number of pets and they worked around all of them with no issues. I work nights, and Melida has been very accommodating on the two days she has been out thus far to work around my sleeping schedule (which is during the day). We definitely plan to continue using her services in the future. I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring a trust-worthy team to help keep their houses in order!

This overall was a terrible experience. The quality of the cleaning was below average. I have a 3700 sq foot house and the team was frequently in and out in less than an hour. I mentioned to Melida that I wasn?t sure disinfectants were being used because when I would come home (at 5pm), the house never smelled of anything. Her response was that maybe it was because I was gone all day. The guest room and guest bathroom as well as under the sofas/furniture were often omitted. I had Melida's services coming every week, I paid them exactly what they asked and although I did not think they were great, I was too lazy to find another service. Then one day I got a TEXT MESSAGE from Melida saying her team would no longer be coming to my house to clean. I asked why and was given no explanation. This happened to also be just before three weeks of planned out of town guests and caught me quite off guard as Melida and I had not spoken in a month and I was not aware of any problems. What really prompted me to write this review (as this is the first I have ever written!) was just how unprofessionally Melida handled herself. I guess the silver lining is that as a result I have had to invest the time in finding a better cleaning service.

Melida does a fabulous job cleaning our home. She shows up every two weeks with two or three people helping her, so they get the job done quickly.

There was always a team of 3 women who worked closely together. There was no slacking on the job, they worked extremely hard and usually finished the whole house in about 1hr and 15 minutes. The women were not fluent in English but they were all very pleasant with nice personalities.

She is very accomodating, affordable, and easy to work with. She does a great job, and gets the places most people miss. Her team is very thorough.
