Melida's Cleaning Service

I have been using Melida's Cleaning Service for the past few months and am VERY satisfied. I found Melida through Angie's List. Melida came to my home to discuss cleaning and get an estimate, which is very reasonable for the quality of work. A team of 3 or 4 ladies comes to my home every other week - usually the same ones. They are professionally dressed, polite, friendly, and very hard workers. I work from home on the day they come, and it seems they enjoy their work. (I can understand Spanish well enough, although I am reluctant to speak it.) They are fast, efficient, and thorough. Usually only one of the team members understands English, however, I can always contact Melida by text, and she will immediately relay what I want to her team.

I was amazed by the quality of their work. They came right over the same day I called and did a beautiful job.

I have intended to leave a review for some time now, and wanted to share my experience. Melida's Cleaning service was my 1st experience with having a cleaning company clean my home, so I did not know what to expect. Her company cleaned my home for about a year. I contacted Melida and she came by my home to provide a quote, and was very nice to deal with. I told her what I wanted to the best of my ability (as never having to explain what I wanted done and how), and she gave me a very competitive quote for bi-monthly cleanings (1st cleaning was more expensive, but that was to get our home in a maintainable condition). Since my experience with her company, I have learned how to better express my "wants" from a cleaning company. Melida was pretty good about responding to me for scheduling cleanings, but the ladies definitely seemed to be in a hurried rush, and as a result, our things were being damaged occasionally. What made the situation worse, was that no one ever told me. I found small objects broken after they left, but the worst was when the cleaning ladies broke the lid to the toilet seat in the main bathroom (by standing on it to clean higher up, which I saw b/c I was home preparing for company), and they did not tell me the seat had been accidently broken! This was in the morning time. I discovered the toilet seat was broken off the hinge in the afternoon, and we had a family of (4) flying in to stay with us for a week that evening. My husband had to rush out to Home Depot to purchase another toilet seat & install it before we had 2 adults and 2 children depending on that bathroom for a week. Not too long after this incident, Melida called my phone and "fired" me as a customer. That was very surprising, but my experience with her company left me with a valuable lesson for dealing with cleaning companies in the future. I hope she receives negative reviews as an opportunity for improvement, because she has a great business going for her, and improving certain areas will only ensure her business's success. Excellent! Highly recommend. Team of two women clean my home - including wood trim/baseboards - bi-weekly. They are responsible and affordable. I am very pleased.

Her service is great! They are professional, always on time, clean under, around and behind furniture. Very dependable, get in and get it done! Melida also drops in and spot checks her employees, so it is always perfect!

I know everybody gives Melida's service raving reviews, but my experience just wasn't that great. Melida is an excellent cleaner herself, but I don't think all of her crews are as good as she is. The good news is that they really do get the house clean. They actually move furniture and really get behind and under things. The bad news is they kept breaking things, and the house always looked like a strong wind had come through and moved everything out of place. After they left, I would have to go through all the rooms and put tables, chairs, paintings, etc. back into place. I could have dealt with all that, but there were at least 4 different incidents of breakage or damage. I reported the incidents to Melida, and her reaction was the same each time. She acted very surprised, like she couldn't see how something like that could happen. Each time, she acted like I was the only person to experience a problem, and it made me feel as if she didn't believe me. The first two incidents were fairly minor, and I just overlooked them, but on the last visit, I found a big dent in the hardwood floor, and I also found that one of the ladies had pulled hard enough on my tv to bend one of the HDMI cables to a complete 90 degree angle. I was at home when the damage occurred, so they could have told me and apologized, but instead they just said nothing and left. It's a shame. They really do a good job of cleaning surfaces. I just couldn't get them to slow down enough to be careful with my belongings.

SUPER pleased with Melida's Cleaning Services! We have used them twice now and intend to use them weekly moving forward. This team means business! Dust bunnies don't stand a chance in my house now! A team of four wonderful ladies has come both times and they divide and concur and clean every square inch of the house. Prices are super reasonable and well worth it! Highly recommend!

I have been using Melidas Cleaning Service for about 6 month now and I must say they have been pretty consistent with their service. They are prompt, friendly and thorough. I have two large dogs and they even do well with the dogs bedroom. I would recommend.

Melida and her helper, Elizabeth, arrived on time and ready to work. They worked full out for the entire time they were here. The house was way overdue a good cleaning. I am disabled and can get overwhelmed if I start falling behind. These ladies were undaunted and took care of every issue and task I mentioned. At the same time, they were pleasant and very easy to be around. Nothing was left "half done". Example, when they cleaned off a kitchen counter, they removed everything first, cleaned the counter then cleaned all the objects that were on that counter before placing them back where they belonged. They worked like this all through the house. I can not say enough about how glad I am to have found them or how pleased with them I am. Melida will be coming back once a month. Yea.:)

Melida came to my house, detailed what her ladies do and gave me a fair price. The ladies arrived on time and did a very good job cleaning my home from top to bottom. I would recommend them.

I can't speak highly enough about the job that Melida's Cleaning did on our home. They cleaned everything from top to bottom, with great attention to detail. The bathrooms and floors were spotless and shining; baseboards, blinds and ceiling fans throughout the house, appliances in the kitchen, they got it all. We also have pets that shed constantly but you'd never know that after they left. I'm extremely pleased with their service and would absolutely recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Fast, professional and thorough. We will definitely be calling on them again.

We were all so pleased with how wonderful our house looks. Every light fixture and ceiling fan was cleaned! The bathrooms and kitchen are spotless! All of the moldings, doors and blinds have been washed! The floors are sparkling! Melida's team is so professional! I couldn't have asked for more! EXCEPTIONAL!!!

They are fabulous. I love them. They're thorough and they do a fantastic job. Their price is very good.

We were not very pleased with them, they didn't do everything we had requested that they do, they didn't speak so much English. They worked quickly and did good cleaning, but there were additional services that she said she would do but she said that she could not do after she got started. They did blinds, floors, kitchens, it was pretty much full house cleaning. I have got a better work for a lower price. Once we set our schedule, they were on our schedule every week. The owner who speaks English came once for the quote and did not show up during the cleaning.

Melida's team are Cleaning Ninjas and have been brightening my days since Oct 2013. Wonderful attention to detail: - Blinds and furniture dusted - Bedding changed and pillows plumped and arranged just so - Mirrors, appliances, and granite gleam - Wood and tile floors feel like satin under my feet, carpets and rugs vacuumed - even under the chairs! - Bathrooms so fresh and clean - House smells amazing I'm delighted, impressed, and thankful each time they work their cleaning magic!

Did not retain their services

They have been cleaning my home for almost two years, and doing a terrific job. Sometimes I'm home when they come and other times I am not. I don't see a difference in the attention to detail whether I'm at home when they clean or not. I have small children and a yellow lab so my house gets dusty and the floors get lots of traffic. They are very thorough! All my pictures on the walls, and pictures/collectibles sitting around are dusted each time. The blinds, doors and cabinets are dusted, as well as the tops, legs and feet of all my wood furniture! The rugs in my home are lifted and cleaned underneath. I can't say enough good things about Melida and her cleaning service. I will continue to use her and highly recommend her !

They did a wonderful job! My refrigerator looked brand new, like it just came off the show room floor! I am going to have them start coming out on a bi-weekly basis to clean my house. They clean in such depth that you'll find your tooth brush holder sparkeling, not only that, they are a very kind group of women, good natured and also very trustworthy. The owner has 20 yrs of experience either working for or managing this company. Melida, the owner, is open to any suggestions a person might have in terms of the types of cleaners used and so forth. In my humble opinion, I do not think that anyone could go wrong in hiring this company to do their home cleaning.

Melida has cleaned several of the homes that we own and has been cleaning for me for 6 years. Melida is completely trustworthy and takes pride in her job. She does an excellent job and my home always looks spotless after she leaves. I have tried numerous housekeeping services in Charlotte and no one has EVER done a better job consistently than Melida and her girls.

They did a remarkable job cleaning our home after our recent move and were extremely detailed. Couldn't recommend them enough!
