Melida's Cleaning Service

We found Melida on Angie's list and then met with her in the beginning January. We instantly felt comfortable having her in our home and were very pleased with the work she did cleaning our house. She is very thorough and always open to suggestions if we have them. She doesn't need us to be home when she cleans which makes things very easy for my husband and I who work a lot. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent, professional cleaner.

I found Melida's company on Angie's list. I liked that it was a small business. I emailed her via Angie's list and she responded the same day. We arranged to have her come look at my home for an estimate, and then scheduled a cleaning for about a week later. Melida called the morning of the cleaning to see if it was convenient to come a little earlier than scheduled which was fine. She and her two assistants arrived with all the supplies and quickly went to work. My house needed a good cleaning which took the three of them about three hours and cost $130, which I think is very reasonable. After each area of the house was cleaned Melida asked me to check it which I appreciated. Each area was thoroughly cleaned. I will be scheduling Melida to clean my home every three weeks which will be $85. I think that's a bargain! I highly recommend Melida and her assistants!!

Melida was very responsive to my call and scheduled a time with me immediately. She called to let me know that she had cancellations and could come sooner if that was better for me. Unfortunately, I had no time to put things away (papers, clothes, etc.) before she came so I had some concern that the house wouldn't "look" clean as I did not expect her to rummage through drawers to figure out where I keep my socks. I was not there when Melida arrived so she met my mother and a houseguest and my two barkaholic schnauzers! I left work early so that I could meet her and pay her. I walked throuh the house and was really impressed. Melida was thorough. She wiped down the baseboards and the doors, vacuumed everywhere there was carpet, cleaned the bathrooms very well, left my stainless spotless, printless and streakless and scrubbed the eyes on my stovetop better than they have ever been cleaned and generally left my house looking and feeling like a professional had done her job. Immediately, I asked Melida to come weekly. We may move to bi-weekly, but I could easily get spoiled by Melida's thorough work. I had no idea my house was so dirty until I saw how clean it could be! As a side note, I loved that she made flowers on the toilet roll out of the tissue. It just reflected her attention to detail. I have already recommended Melida and will in the future.

I joined Angies List in search of a good housecleaner, following a horrible experience with a couple that I found through a well-known online ad service. I was a bit tentative in hiring someone again, but when Melida showed up to give me a quote, my fears were eased. She was very personable, on time, and gave me insight on what her services include. I decided to hire her and am very glad I did! I was looking for a morning timeslot at the end of the week and she had it! Melida and her partner showed up on time and cleaned my house better than I would have ever expected. They didn't miss a thing.....and trust me I looked because of my previous experience. They have cleaned for me 3 times and they have not disappointed me in the least! They are very reliable, trustworthy and treat the house as if it were their own. I am very happy to have them here and you will too :).

I couldn't be more thrilled by the service that we receive from Melida! Of all the three cleaning companies that I met with, she was the sweetest and warmest person that I met. She and her helper do a fabulous job and it takes them only a couple of hours to clean our 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home. She is always checking in with me to see if there is anything else they can be doing to make our house look even cleaner. It's obvious that she takes a lot of pride in her work and she wants her customers to be satisfied. She had a big task when she agreed to take over cleaning our home in December 2009. I was so embarrassed to have her come and do the initial deep clean because our home has been very neglected. I paid her more for the first visit because I know she really worked hard. I love that she always checks in regarding what cleaning supplies to use on our hardwood floors and our stainless steel appliances. Everything is always sparkling when she and her helper leave. Bathroom shower stall and tubs are s*** and span. Plantation shutters have all the dust removed. And all of the floors are immaculate. My husband always raves about the great job that Melida does. I highly recommend her services. You won't be disappointed and the value can't be beat!

The first time Malida and her cousin came, they spent five and one-half hours cleaning and my house had never been cleaner. They brought their own products, arrived on time, worked consistently. They have cleaned my house every other week since then (November was the first time) When I was around, they were personable, professional, punctual and I trust them to be in my house when I am not home. When I come home after they have been there, it has been a joy to see how clean my home can be! Also of note, is I have new hardwood floors and kitchen and they are using appropriate products for my new upgrades and understand how important this is to me. I recommend Malida without reservation.

She has since returned and will be doing our home regularly. Im so glad that I followed my instincts on this one. Her work is impeccable and her personality cheering and pleasant. Finding this caliber of service is what makes Angies List so valuable.

Melida is a fast and efficient worker, my house is very clean and smells great when she leaves. Melida has a very friendly and pleasant personality and communicates great. I received several ads in the mail from commercial companies and almost called for estimates. But since we had a bad experience several years ago, decided to join Angie's List and check them out. In doing so, looked at other providers (with higher ratings) and was impressed with the comments about Melida's Cleaning Service. I called her, she came out and gave me an estimate and we agreed on a date for service. She and her associate, Rosa, did an excellent job and I will be using her service on a biweekly basis from now on. I'm sooooooooo glad I didn't call a commercial company!!! This one experience made the yearly fee worthwhile!!

Melida was very prompt at returning calls and emails. When she first arrived at our house, Melida asked me to point out specific areas that needed to be addressed. She and her partner did that, and beyond. They cleaned everything you can think of (i.e., the spaces above the kitchen cabinets and the grease under the vent hood). I will definitely use Melida again!

Excellent - she came on very short notice (day that we called) and was able to do a full 2 person cleaning job. They spent half a day cleaning. We were amazed at how clean the house was. If we ever spot any issues, we let Melida know, and she takes care of it right away. One of the best cleaning services we've ever used.

Melida is very accommodating and did everything she promised. Because of rush hour morning traffic, she was running later than promised the morning she was to clean, but called to let us know what was going on and when to expect her. It was very important to us that she called to let us know she was held up rather than to leave us wondering if she had forgotten or couldn't get to us.

Melida and Rosa showed up on a Saturday. They did a very good job overall, they brought their own supplies but I asked them to use mine, they made one bed and offered to make another, and they cleaned for 2 hours and charged me $80. They seemed to be busy the whole time and I plan to use her again. They were also helpful about meeting my particular needs.

She did a great job at the assessment and has been cleaning my home for years. She takes instruction well and never waivers on her quality.

Melida answered my request for a on-site quote quickly and at my convenience. The price is fair and competative. She and her cousin do a thorough job every time. Because they come every other week, they do not alternate what they clean from visit to visit. We have allergies and while they have their own supplies and equipment, they have honored my requests to use my cleaning products and vaccuum. They have done an excellent job!
