MCCLINTOCK CAME OUT TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM WITH MY THERMOSTAT. HOWEVER, SINCE I WAS GOING TO SIGN A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THEM, THEY DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC. THE SPRING A/C SERVICE WAS COMPLETED AND THE PROBLEM REMEDIED. THE SERVICE TECH TOOK APPROXIMATELY TWO HOURS TO COMPLETE HIS WORK AND EVERYTHING TURNED OUT JUST FINE. I'VE CHECKED OTHER COMPANIES FOR SERVICE PRICING AND MCCLINTOCK WAS BY FAR THE BEST PRICE CONSIDERING I HAVE A DUAL SYSTEM. THE TECH ARRIVED AT THE SCHEDULED TIME AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. OF NOTE, THE $218 IS THE TOTAL PRICE FOR A ONE YEAR CONTRACT. IT INCLUDES THE SPRING A/C SERVICE AND THE FALL HEATING SERVICE. ADDITIONALLY, CONTRACT HOLDERS ARE PROVIDED WITH A 15% DISCOUNT ON SERVICE CALLS OVER AND ABOVE THE NORMAL MAINTENANCE.

WE HAD NO HEAT ON THE COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR (15 DEGREES!). WE PLACED A SERVICE CALL LATE IN THE EVENING. OUR TECHNICIAN, JACK, ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY. THE COMPANY COMMUNICATED VERY WELL AND ACCOMMODATED MY BUSY SCHEDULE. I HAVE ALREADY REQUESTED THAT THEY COME BACK FOR AN EVALUATION OF OUR OTHER UNIT AS WELL AND WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE. MCCLINTOCK PROVIDES QUALITY SERVICE AT A REASONABLE PRICE. UNLIKE OTHER COMPANIES I HAVE EXPERIENCED, THEY DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME SOMETHING I DID NOT NEED AND GOUGE ME ON THE PRICES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE.

I AM GLAD TO HAVE THE ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY COME OUT AGAIN TO CHECK THINGS FOR THE COOLING SEASON. I WILL PROBABLY RENEW THE CONTRACT PART($119) AS THE AIR INSIDE MY HOME IS MARVELOUSLY CLEAN NOW AND WHEN A REPAIR IS NEEDED, IT WILL BE DONE AT A DISCOUNT!
Description of Work: REPAIRED FLEX RUN THAT WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED WITH ORIGINAL HOUSE CONSTRUCTION. REPAIRED RETURN PLENUM WHERE IT HAD DEVELOPED A HOLE IN THE SYSTEM AND COME APART. DRAIN LINE NEEDED CLEARING AND INDOOR COILS NEED CLEANING. WHEN I PURCHASED ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT, THESE 2 BECAME FREE AND WERE DONE WITHIN THE AGREEMENT. OTHER REPAIRS THEN RECEIVED A DISCOUNT. TECHNICIAN FOUND A CAPACITOR GOING BAD. I KNEW WHAT HE SAID TO BE TRUE, SO I AUTHORIZED REPLACING IT TO SAVE IT REFUSING TO TURN ON SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE. HE ALSO RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE ELECTRONIC FILTER ELEMENTS WITH A LARGE FOLDED FILTER THAT WOULD REQUIRE A TRIP UNDER THE HOUSE ONLY ONCE A YEAR, NOT EVERY 2 MONTHS AS THE ELECTRONIC FILTER REQUIRED FOR CLEANING. I DECIDED THIS WOULD BE A GOOD THING TO DO, BECAUSE I NEVER DID GET THE CLEANING DONE EVERY 2 MONTHS SINCE I GOT IT 4 YEARS AGO. THEY ALSO RECOMMEND THIS IF IT BREAKS, AS THE REPAIR IS COSTLY, SO THAT MADE IT EVEN BETTER TO GO THIS ROUTE.

OUR TWO STORY HOUSE WAS BUILT WITH A ONE-UNIT A/C SYSTEM DUE TO MUCH OF THE UPSTAIRS BEING A LOFT. THE LOFT WAS THEN CLOSED OFF WHICH DISRUPTED THE A/C AND HEATING DESIGN. ROB MCCLINTOCK EXPLAINED THAT INSTALLING A 2-UNIT SYSTEM WOULD BE THE BEST, BUT MOST EXPENSIVE OPTION ($12,000 - $15,000). HE WAS THE ONLY ONE OF THREE OTHERS WHO PROVIDED ESTIMATES THAT SUGGESTED THE OPTION OF USING A DAMPER, ZONE CONTROL SYSTEM AS A COST EFFECTIVE COMPROMISE. WHEN ASKING THE OTHER THREE CONTRACTORS ABOUT USING A DAMPER SYSTEM, ONE SAID IT WOULD NOT WORK AND THE OTHER TWO WERE MORE EXPENSIVE. VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE.
