This Spring's A/C system check revealed that the temperature drop across my 12 year old A/C system was significantly less than is should be. Rather than risk a system failure during the heat of Summer we, research HVAC companies on Angie's list, obtained 3 proposals and selected McClintock based on proposal alternatives, and price. Work was scheduled and completed on a timely basis, leaving a clean house and working system.

Very good, timely service and very professional

I knew it was time to replace, not repair. Prompt response to request for estimate. Punctual. Provided window AC units free of charge (installed first and second floors) until work could be scheduled. Clean-up inside and outside was immaculate. Coordinated inspection. Excellent staff, inside and installation.

They're available and do good work. Everything was satisfactory with them.

I appreciate all the summary information they give me. They cleaned up and were very thoughtful with wearing shoe protectors.

We have a regular maintenance program with them. I think they're excellent.

After MTB (who we used to use!) said that they couldn't help us until 5 days later we found McClintock on angie's list. They were amazing from the first phone call - Live person answered the phone even before their listed business hours and she (sorry forgot her name) was as professional as anyone that I have ever experienced in the trades. She said that she would work on getting a technician out as quickly as possible the same day - she called back a little over an hour later and let me know when he would be coming and then called again when he was on his way. Chris Abernathy showed up at our house right when she said that he would and got right to work - he inspected the unit for about 3 minutes and knew exactly what happened - our phase shifter exploded and it was not pretty inside. I asked him about replacing the unit but he said let me dig in and see what I can do for you. Within about an hour Chris had the unit cleaned up, rewired and up and running for us at 1/10 of the cost of a new unit. They have earned us as a customer for all our HVAC needs moving forward - incredibly responsive, professional, high quality and everyone we dealt with was as nice as could be. They are coming next week to give us a quote on two other units and I would recommend them to anyone

I want to thank you for the great work done in making repairs on one of our A/C units. Kevin Kelly, in particular, did a tremendous job making sure the unit in question was repaired properly and followed up subsequently to make sure everything had been done to our satisfaction. The whole McClintock team is to be commended for their efficiency and professionalism. I will make sure and recommend this company to anyone I know needing air conditioning/heating repairs in the future.

We upgraded both our A/C units and we also replaced both our furnaces. They vented our attic as well, they had to put down a whole bunch of duct work for us. At one point there were 12 guys in my house and they were here for two days. They cleaned everything up. I'm very happy with them. We've used McClintock for at least five years. The owners bother Mike McClintock came here and explained everything; he was here two hours. My wife and I had a lot of questions because you know to us $18,900 that's a lot of change. They were here 8:30 I saw them in front of my house at 8:15, they didn't come up to the door until 8:30.

We would use them again. We bought a brand new house and we are going to have them do the maintenance on the HVAC. Once we move in and the warranty is up, we're going to have them do the maintenance. The workers were excellent.

The technician, Chris Abernethy, was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. If we need service again, I'll be calling McClintock and requesting Chris by name.

They charge about $375 per year. They come out twice a year.

Excellent experience from start to finish. I highly recommend them. When he came to give a quote, we talked about a couple of things related to the systems in our older house that weren't functioning well; they fixed those as well. First rate service; punctual and professional; fair price.

It was $250 per year contract for seasonal maintenance. I decided not to use them again. Too expensive. They need to work on their pricing. And they need to respond better in emergencies. It took them a couple hours.

They were great - from start to finish, they were professional and prompt. They were not the least expensive, but for such a significant purchase, I'm glad we hired them.

The entire job went smoothly, on schedule with all services checked, double checked, and triple checked. It took 2 days for each system swap out and setup (included some duct work adjustments and additions). The plans were very well thought out and implemented. There were always at least 2 people onsite, and at one time there were 4 installers here as 2 others had finished another job and came by to help out. The interruption was minimal. Everyone was courteous and always explained where they were in the process. After the installations were complete, there was another team who showed up on the next day to inspect the work. Then later that day the owner showed up to do an inspection. McClintock handled all the paperwork for rebates from Duke Energy, and then the inspections were scheduled with PNG and Duke Energy. All went smoothly! The Thirty systems work great. At this point I am very pleased. Thirty days later, McClintock returned to do another check to make sure everything was working as intended. I highly recommend this company!

Perfect! McClintock Sales Representatives, Install Experts and the Office Staff are all very professional. My install took only 4 days as promised. All employees were always on time for their appointment and the project stayed on schedule every day. McClintock handled ALL of the paperwork concerning my numerous rebates from Trane, Angie's List, Duke Energy & Piedmont Natural Gas.

While I believe the mandatory semi-annual maintenance fees (for new system installation) to keep the warranty valid as somewhat extortionate in concept, the services provided over the years have been excellent. Especially so this most recent visit by Christian. He was cordial, professional. thorough, helpful and congenial. Service techs in the past have also been excellent but I have not taken the time to provide feedback.

Just as I was told. All the folks at McClintock were professional, answered all questions, the entire installation when exactly as I was instructed it would.

My wife and I hired Mcclintock to install brand new Trane HVAC systems (AC and heat) for our first and second floors. Our prior systems were poor quality builder grade and definitely needed to be replaced. We got 3 estimates, and Mcclintock was in the middle, just a few hundred dollars over the lowest estimate. Prior Angies list reviews were stellar, so we went with Mcclintock and have been very happy. Comfort Pro Danny Johnson came out twice, performed a Manual J, and answered all our questions. He actually was going to sell us a very nice (but less expensive system... he wasn't trying to upsell us at all) but I went with the more advanced (pricier and quieter) unit. He confirmed that either system would be ideal for our use. Install team was great, friendly and respectful; both HVAC systems were installed in a few days. The wifi Nexia controls are fantastic. Customer service has been absolutely steller. The new heat and AC from our new systems has been wonderful.
