Excellent! Said dispatcher would call me, which she did shortly. Dispatcher said technician could come today but would be late afternoon. N/P. Tech showed up in reasonable time. Basically, bottom line, this is a very efficient operation but HIGH PRICED. Everything was a charge. It was $116 for a leak check of outside unit. $116 for leak check of the inside unit. If leak found, would B another charge, that he couldn't estimate until knew size of unit. If no leak found, he would just charge unit for unknown amount, since again, didn't know unit size. If he found leak, didn't have equipment on truck to fix. I wasn't comfortable w/pricing but felt stuck since he was already on site, so I OK'd him 2 do leak check on broken unit. Approximately 15 min. later, was told compressor bad, showed me bad connector, said he'd call back tmrw w/price quote. Said prob. better to replace entire outside unit, 2nd tech gave me a sales flyer. $157 bill (w/$30 Angie's disc.) to learn I need new compressor.

Technician found that we had a leak in AC but said we could add freon which would buy some time before we needed to purchase a new unit.

Called a few of the companies high on the list. McClintock was the only company not rude and able to promise to come out as soon as possible as it was 100 degrees. Wes the repair guy and representative of the company were super nice and did everything he could to correct the problem. VERY pleased with this company. We are telling everyone about this company!

Price included discounts for service agreement, Angie's List coupon. Also checked upstairs unit. Explained how to prevent repeat of problem through our own maintenance.

Our system was very old. We had spent over $1000 for the last 1.5 years keeping it going but it was on its last legs. We wanted to go ahead and replace the system while our old one was still running so that we could investigate brands, companies, etc. thoroughly. After quite a bit of research I was convinced that we definitely wanted a Trane. I scheduled two Trane dealers to give us a bid as well as two other companies that carry different brands just to be sure. As I learned more and more, I posted a lot of questions on HVAC message boards, read a lot of information and of course, checked Angie's List, CharMeck pass/fail rates, etc. After 10 days of presentations, bids, etc. I chose to go with McClintock. They were not the cheapest but they had excellent ratings by customers getting entire systems on Angie's List. Since Angie's List customers have been an excellent source in the past, we chose McClintock. The installation went very smoothly and we are very happy.

Absolutely wonderful. I called around 8 am and they had a service manager at my home by 1 pm the same day. One of my a/c units wasn't working and the service manager quickly determined that the capacitor had failed. Within the hour, he had replaced the parts and had my unit up and running! Overall, the experience was quick and easy. The people I dealt with were very friendly and the service manager explained everything to me in basic terms so I understood what he was doing. I will absolutely use them again for any of my heating/cooling needs.

It went very well. Keven Braswell the technician explained everything in detail and arranged to have someone come out within a week to do an air conditioning check, as I purchased a service agreement. They were very professional and prompt. I was very satisfied with my service.

Very positive experience, 3 visits total, the attention to detail by James was most impressive with respects to diagnosing the problems and the work itself performed by Aaron was excellent also.

They came out the same day, they answer the phones immediately and did the work the same day! Based on my experiences here they were fantastic! I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone!!

We left a message on their machine and they called back promptly at 8 A.M the next morning. Wes was here within about 40 minutes and did a great job. Problem turned out to be a shorted wire. He pulled a little more out from the chase and reconnected it saving us some parts and labor. There are many companies out there that would have told me that I needed a new unit or at least a bunch of new parts - believe me when I tell you this as I know from experience. Wes showed me the wire, explained the situation thoroughly and finished quickly. He suggested a tuneup for both units this summer. Usually I do much of this myself but they do such a good job and provide such a good value, I will be delegating this to them. I can't recommend them enough and hope that they continue to provide positive experiences for us.

Friendly and courteous. We're trying to make an old unit last a few years longer and they're working with us in that area. I appreciate their fairness and help.

Although the technician was a little too casual for my taste, the experience went OK.

It was Great! From the on-time arrival, to the efficient overview of the system to the helpful hints on how to make the unit more effective. I wish I could remember the name of the serviceman, but he was very polite, gave me clear, complete and detailed information. Well worth it!

After comparing this company against my former heating/AC company, I chose McClintock because I got more AC power for less price. I also was impressed with the Trane AC reputation. Finally, I was very impressed with the McClintock representative, who was very responsive.

Charles was prompt and pleasant. He insisted on quoting the higher efficiency unit, since a lower efficiency furnace would require an expensive chimney liner. (I already have this liner, visible from the outside, although I did not know it then.) He said that my heat exchanger was probably under warranty, but he did not say that I could replace it instead of the entire unit. He was very proud of McClintock's reputation and provided positive customer surveys. His quote arrived the same day via email and was competitive. I ultimately chose another HVAC contractor. I sent Charles an email to tell him and thank him for his time. He emailed me back and said that the contractor I had selected was "low bid", not Trane certified, and their technicians were not well trained. His email implied that I had chosen the contractor based on price alone, and his statement about their lack of certification was flat-out wrong. This unprofessional response completely sealed the deal for me.

Upstairs AC unit was not blowing air cool enough to bring the temperature down to the level set on the thermostat. As a result, the system continued to run, the coils froze and the cool air passing through the vents decreased. I searched Angie's List and decided to call McClintock Heating Cooling & Electrical (Angie's list has never steered me wrong yet). I called McClintock at 4:45 PM on a Wednesday and indicated that it was no rush since the weather this week is very mild. They gave me an appointment on Friday at 2:00 PM. On Friday morning they called to say that Wes the technician was running ahead of schedule and asked if it was alright if he came at approximately 1:30 PM (30 minutes ahead of our original appointment time). I said sure, in fact that worked better for me. Wes showed up promptly, was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The information that he provided was very informative. They are a licensed Trane dealer.

Friday night the upstairs AC quit blowing cold. We called on Saturday afternoon and left a message. Within 20 minutes we received a call back and set up a time for a tech to come out that afternoon. He came out and told us the unit has froze up due to low freon, maybe a slow leak. He gave me the options of having him thaw it out and service it on Saturday rates or turn it off, let it thaw itself, and have it serviced on Monday. Since we still had AC working downstairs, I opted to save the money and wait. Monday came and I received a call as promised. I asked to have an afternoon service and requested a call one hour prior to the tech arriving, so I could leave work and meet him. I got my call at 2pm, I made it home by 3pm, and the tech arrived a few minutes later. Since I paid for a service call on Sat, they didn't charge me for another trip, just for the freon service. No problem using their Angie's List coupon, either. These guys are great!

We had thought we had to replace our entire A/C unit because it had stopped working & a previous A/C company couldn't find a leak in it (meaning it all had to be replaced). We called McClintok and they were able to find the leak (in an unusual place), fix it, & add freon so that we could get another year or two out of our system (so far we've had it going for an additional year!). We also use this company for annual cleaning of our heating & cooling systems. They are easy to reach, always on time, and have really friendly knowledgeable techs. They're able to come out quickly if you have an emergency too. Cheaper than my previous company. Highly recommend them!

It was a great experience. The technician arrived when he said he would, he was clean & courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem & had the part he needed on his truck. He was done within 45 minutes.

Very courteous on the phone. Scheduled an appointment within two hours of our call. Called me 15 minutes before the tech arrived to make sure I would be there. The tech was professional and did not try and sell me additional services I didn't need. Great Experience.

The work was phenomenally fast and clean, and the workers were polite, presentable, arrived, and departed when they promised. The bid was one of many. It came in right in the middle, dollar wise. We are very glad we chose McClintock. The honest and fair bid process and Charles Gravely's attention to detail were the reasons we chose McClintock, as well as, the great reviews of their work on the list. We feel we got value for the price.

Great! Extremely professional. Originally made a service call on the old system. The compressor had seized and they gave a realistic assessment of the situation and suggested that I consider replacing the system rather than repairing, given the cost of a replacement compressor and the system's age. They did not pressure me to have their own company provide the estimate, but did provide a number to get one. In their estimate, they gave me multiple price points for various efficiencies and extras along with an explanation of what any additional options would provide. No pressure to get anything more than the basic system. Kept in touch throughout the process, including a status of when the installers would be there. On time, no delays, very careful with my home & yard. Excellent references.

Within a few days of contacting McClintock, a salesman came to the house and performed a thorough review of our heating & cooling needs. He even brought over the owner the next day to further qualify his intended recommendations. Within a few days, they presented us with a written, complete, clear estimate for the recommended systems. They even provided separate pricing for work/equipment about which we had inquired, but they felt we didn't need - input we very much appreciated in the long run. Once we let them know we wanted to move forward, they had a crew at our house in roughly 2 weeks. The work was started and completed on schedule, the crew was efficient, polite, and answered any questions we had. We are thrilled with our new systems and can tell a big difference in our day-to-day comfort level in our home. Now we're just waiting to experience the added savings on our utility bills through the coming cooling and heating seasons!
