The technician was on-time and showed me numerous places where the builder had cut corners and was making our system less efficient. The technicians work, experience and knowledge were very valuable.

Called after-hours service and left message. Received call back within 5 minutes. They spent about 20 minutes talking me through normal issues that were easy to check (fuses, etc.). Decided to have someone come out and asked scheduler to call the next day. She did and we set an appointment for the afternoon. Technician showed up a little later than I hoped, but within the estimated time. Turned out to be a pretty simple fix, but also did a check up of the entire air and heating system while at the house.

They are on time, they put you on top list if you have a contact. They have 24 hour service.

Very responsive and punctual. Very friendly and professional tech. Took his time to make sure the job was done well. Did not rush the job. Will definitely use them again!

Tommy explained everything and fix and retested. Told me a little about maint. on the coils and how to clean them. Very cool person.

Tech arrived right on time and work took approximately 1.5 hours to Complete. The tech performed yearly maintenance on both of my A/C units. He recommended that I add freon to my upstairs unit. I explained to him that I had to add freon last year and he recommended that I search I have the unit checked for a leak. He was not pushy at all about checking for the leak. I am very happy with the service I received.

They replaced the part without doing any paper work as they were late, which was good. They are professional. They try to be on time and keep you informed if they are running late. They did a good thorough job and my air-conditioning unit works better than before.

Wonderful, prompt service. No hidden charges or surprises. Everything was explained to the fullest. Service Technician-Kevin Braswell was very up front about all details regarding wear and tear on units, times for replacement and charges. Was not rushed. Very knowledgable about current and future needs.

Technician arrived on time. He performed routine service/inspection of 2 a/c units, one of which had not been cooling too well. He told me that some components were still working but a little borderline--he recommended replacing them, but wasn't at all pushy. He said that most of the problems I was having were due to accumulated debris. While this company charges a bit more than some of the companies that advertise heavily on the radio, it was worth it, because I felt confident that I wouldn't be sold a service or unit I didn't really need.

They came out checked the unit and told me what needed to be done. I thought the unit would need to be replace.After completing a regular maintenance check, they said the unit was fine and they explained why the unit was icing in simple format. I loved their professional promptness and attitude. They gentleman that worked on the unit was polite and respectful and made sure to put everything back in place. I would definitely use them again.

They are fabulous! They fixed it on a hot day on the day I called and they are very trustworthy.

The installation crew were very knowlegable and they did a good job with the copper piping extensions to the AC unit. They covered my carpets to protect them from outside dirt and cleaned up after they left. The inspection was ok. These folks have a low failure rate on inspections. Finally, after some to and fro calling, McClintock gave me a written letter of the install date and labor and parts warranty periods -- important if selling the home, etc. Overall great experience.

I called at 9:15am and was told that the dispatcher would call me and let me know what time they would be able to come and fix my ac. At 5:15pm, after waiting around all day and never getting a call back, I called back and was told they were going as fast as they could. I told them to forget it, that I would go with someone else. Two minutes after I hung up, I got a call back telling me I was next on the list, I just wish they had called me 5-6 hours ago and let me know it would be late afternoon before they could get to me. We have used them before and they were always good about keeping us informed about when they were coming. I am not sure what happened this time.

Excellent from Mr. McClintock to each serviceman who worked on our air conditioner. Very professional and thorough. Did a great job keeping everything inside the house clean during the process. Explained everything that was done. Followed up afterwards to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Even did a couple extra things like replacing air filters for us.

They did a good job. They were very professional. He did a good job explaining to me what he was doing and why. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves.

Overall, it went excellent. The job took approximately 1-1/2 days to complete. Brian who actually did the work was responsive in letting me know how things were going. He kept me informed every step of the way and even arranged to go by the house to have the inspection completed by the county.

The whole project took about three days to complete. They were very professional. I enjoyed them so much that I now use them for maintenance. I have been very pleased.

We have had a service contract with McClintock for 3 years. They come inspect and clean the heating and A/C twice a year. They've been telling us that our 20-year-old furnace is due for replacement for that whole time, but they kept it running. In February when they came for the routine check they said that it had finally rusted through (the heat exchanger?) and it was time. We knew we wanted to replace everything (heat and a/c for both units - upstairs and downstairs). We quickly made calls to 2 other companies as well as McClintock to get estimates. McClintock came the next day (Friday) and gave us a proposal of approx $9200, which was well below the other 2 proposals. So we signed the agreement and they scheduled work to start the next Tuesday. Their project manager came Friday afternoon to check out the layout and the work crew was at our door first thing Tuesday morning. All the workers were polite, friendly, and professional. They used a floor cover over our carpet, replaced all the equipment, made sure it worked, cleaned up after themselves, communicated with us, etc. By Tuesday night we had heat. Wednesday and Thursday they replaced the other heat system and the A/C. They finished up the work Friday morning. The next week they called and had someone come to check out the A/C on a warmer day. They also scheduled the county inspector to come out and met him at our house. The inspector said it was a good job - better than most. Their office person is really nice too. We are really pleased with the service and the results.

They were very good about explaining the need for repair. My experience with the company and the serviceman was quite positive.

I didn't find the problem until after 5pm on Saturday. I found McClintock's on AL and made the call. The automated system said someone would get back to me within a half-hour and they did. He said that it would be at least a few hours if I needed it done that night and I decided I could make it through the night. I was then told that he'd call when he was near my house around 8-8:30 am. By 10:30 I hadn't heard anything and called the system again. Again the call was returned promptly and I was told that the initial technician had been trying to find a replacement due to illness. Apparently there was no one else, so he came out himself - he got there around 12:30. Overall the service was excellent with my only negative comment being the delay on Sunday morning - a phone call to tell me they would be late would have been appreciated. Otherwise I have no complaints and would recommend them to anyone.

McClintock clearly demonstrated the ability to do this job (and we were very pleased with them as the servicers of our prior systems), but they came out about $3,000 higher (about 10%) than the contractor we ultimately selected (see our other reports for that contractor - very pleased). Would have been happy to have used McClintock if the price was the same - as we were very pleased with their service.

I called and received quotes from four contractors. We chose McClintock based on a combination of price, equipment, Angie's List ratings, and location of their office. Initially, it looked like they were going to be significantly higher in price but as our equipment needs changed the range of quotes became narrower, and eventually McClintock's was no higher than any other.

They were very thorough, punctual, and knowledgeable. They did a neat job and cleaned up after themselves. They gave me the price upfront and that was what I paid them.

They were great from start to finish. THe service tech was polite, friendly anbd very informative - he explained things in everyday terms (because we are far from savvy in HVAC language). We have an older system and he also went over some general pricing and strategies to economically and slowly replace the aging system (as apposed to the last company we used, who immediatly tried to talk us into replacing the whole system last year on the spot).
