The McClintock firm service my air conditioner though I was out of town and had it ready for our return. We were pleased.

Very responsive to my initial phone call. Honest and upfront about the time it would take to get a technician to my house. Arrived on-time when appointment was set. Knowledgeable and honest technician. Gave me best advice for my situation (didn't try to upsell me, or make extra bucks with unnecessary repair).

Experience was good overall from start to finish!

They did a great job, they removed the old system replaced with a new system. They cleaned up after themselves, and professional to the letter. They even let us know when they went to lunch. Outstanding is all we can say.

I recently had McClintock come out and perform the annual service to my HVAC system. They were extraordinarily punctual, professional and reasonably priced. I have used them in the past and will continue to do so in the future. They're an excellent company to do business with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had another company come to the house and give me a quote. The quote seemed really high, so I wanted a second opinion. The quote I was given was much lower and they told me they were over charging me. I got fast and great service.

I requested they call me ahead of his arrival as i had to be at work and could not sit home for the window of time given. They did call and when I arrived the repairman was in the driveway and said he had just arrived also. I showed him where the unit was so he could check to see what the problem was that caused us to not have any heat. He checked the unit and discovered that the pilot light was malfunctioning. He stated that he could do a temporary fix but ultimately the pilot unit would need to be replaced. i asked him what the cost would be and he called the office and explained that because it's a lenox system i would have to buy a kit as lenox do not sell just the part. He suggested doing the repair and hopefully it will last until i'm able to have them order the kit. I like that he was not pushy and was willing to do all he could so we could have heat. Heat we have and i will definitlely be calling this company back to install the new kit in the near future. I found the repairman Danny friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

We began having trouble with our 30-year-old HVAC system and decided to start shopping around. I saw the reports for McClintock on Angie's List and was impressed. They were the first company that we called and had out to give us an estimate. We never called anyone else. The salesperson sat with us and gave us all of our options and spent time finding the right unit so that we could get a tax credit. The installation happened very quickly after we signed the contract. The installers were very professional, answering any questions that I had. They worked very quickly and cleaned up very well after each day of the two day installation. The owner of the company, Rob McClintock, even stopped by, which I understand he tries to do with every installation. This is a well-run company with a well-deserved reputation. The price was kind of a shock but after asking around, I feel like we paid just the right amount for the service we received.

I've lived in the condo for 8 years and it has a very strange thermostat. I hadn't ever had a HVAC company come out. Danny Johnson came out fixed it for me.

Service man was early (a good thing IMO). He efficiently disgnosed the problem, removed the broken part, and replaced it with a part from his truck. He showed me the broken part so I could see what was wrong. He and the company earn high marks from me for carrying parts on the service truck in order to eliminate having to make a return visit for ordinary repairs. Job was completed in less than an hour. I used a coupon from Angie's List and he was happy to give full credit for that.

The serviceman was on time and professional. Work was completed perfectly.

In this awful heat my AC unit was struggling to keep up. I figured it was just SO much heat. Service person installed minimum refrigerant and cleaned the outdoor unit. House went from stifling to COLD in 30 minutes while he was here. Also [pointed out the need for a Capacitor which was beyond the Service charge and inspection cost, but he said I needed it so I got it. Total bill, $230. I'll probably save that much on my next three electrical bills!

We have now used McClintock twice after having unsuccessful experiences with two other local providers. Both experiences were quick and solved the problem the first time in the least expensive manner possible. This is what you would expect all of the time but we unfortunately had two bad experiences with two other providers before discovering McClintock. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Very well. Service technician was knowledgable, professional, polite, and did not try to sell me more than we needed. (Unlike previous AC service company we had here a couple of years ago before we had Angie's List.) Price was as explained by the scheduler and the technician once the problem was determined. Will definitely call them again and already recommended the company to a friend.

One evening I noticed that the 2nd floor a/c was not cooling. I called McClintock the next morning and both the receptionist and the scheduling ladies were so very nice and helpful. Service tech Frank came that same day and diagnosed the problem promptly. When I expressed my interest in entering a routine tuneup service agreement, he explained all the benefits and what the tuneups would include. Frank was friendly and knowledgeable. He replaced the condenser motor but did not perform the tuneup (that came a few days later). The service agreement cost (which I did not include in the amount spent) for us was 298.00 for two units. Because of the high demand during that time, the tuneup could not be scheduled until 6/7/11 - which I understood. Kevin was the service tech for the tuneup. During his procedures, he found that the capacitor was going bad on the first floor a/c unit. He explained the problem and replaced the part. Kevin was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend McClintock to others.

The job went excellent overall. They responded immediately and came out the same day. They fixed it on the spot. I was very happy with their service. I liked their knowledge and they were able to explain the situation clearly.

The problem had been serviced repeatedly by one of the largest AC service companies in Charlotte, including the replacement of the condenser---but still not solving the problem of maintaining upstairs cooling to set level on very hot days. It is a 3 zone townhouse system. Original service company recommended replacement of the entire system ($7K) to solve the problem (despite condenser replacement last year). I called McClintock for a second opinion. Actual issue was a leak in one of the ducts in the attic, and a loose set screw on a damper control of the bypass duct for this 3 zone system. Problem solved, house is cool. The damper control problem is not easy to diagnose. Excellent job.

I am very happy with them as they were very knowledgeable, very helpful, very respectful and friendly. It’s been a good experience so far. I was very impressed. They were very professional. Surprisingly they came when someone else was already there to give an estimate for the same work. It would have been an awkward situation but they complimented other company as best and told us to go with the other company. They also suggested us to go with the other company as they do great work.

One of my air conditioning cooling systems was not working and the repairs were at a level that made replacement a better option. I contacted three companies for estimates and requested the estimate to be broken out in several ways: repair one unit, replace one unit, replace both units. McClintock was very patient with my lack of familiarity with the choices that were available and was very informative about the rebates that were available. Their sales rep, Charles Gravely, took the time to make sure we got all the rebates possible and pointed out some improvements that we could make regarding our return air vents. The two other estimates that I got were priced in a similar price range but the representatives from those companies were not very helpful or informative. Their estimates did not seem as thorough as the one from McClintock. In choosing McClintock to replace both systems (upstairs and down), I couldn't be happier with the job that they did. They did excellent work, were very professional, and were very thorough paying attention to all the details. When replacing the attic unit and going through the house many times in order to complete that task, the installers were very careful and made sure they did not leave any tracks or messes inside the house. Also outside the job was very neatly done and all landscaping was left intact. The job was completed in the timeframe promised (two days) with no surprises. The follow up at the conclusion of the job was done by the owner and it seemed that he really cared to make sure the job was done right and that I was pleased with everything. All in all, McClintock did an excellent job and I was very pleased with my entire experience. It has been over a year now and there have been no problems with the system or installation of the two units. The house is much more comfortable due to the proper sizing and correction of the return air problem that was identified. And we have noticed a savings in the cooling bill due to the the improved efficiency of the systems.

Throughout the process, McClintock's representative, Charles Gravely, was very knowledgeable and thorough in answering our questions, and in explaining the pros & cons of equipment options. McClintock was also very helpful in explaining the process to secure various tax-rebates, after the installation.

Excellent. Fast service. The technician explained everything he was doing and talked to me in depth about my furnace and A/C system. I liked them so much I purchased a maintenance plan on the spot.

After having another company diagnose my broken A/C unit. I called around to find the best price for a new compressor. McClintock was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the other companies that I had called. I was also referred to them by a friend who has been using them for years. They had to order the part from Trane which too a few days and when they went to install it they realized that the new part was broken also. So they had to order another part and I waited for a few more days. They were very professional and they went out of their way to get my A/C fixed as soon as possible.

I saved $30 as I had the Angie’s List coupon. They were great. They guy was very straightforward. He didn’t try to sell me anything extra. He told me the things that I need to look for. I would definitely use them again in the future.

This is the second time I've used Mcclintock and I've been impressed both times. The first time the HVAC technician they sent (Frank) did an excellent job troubleshooting my upstairs AC unit issues. He was very thorough and found / fixed the initial problem but also a secondary intermittent issue with the outside unit. He did a great job explaining the issues, showed me what he was doing to fix it and showed me an area that might cause problems in the future (which it did). Called back to have that second issue repaired today and had a similar excellent experience. The one thing I've appreciated most with Mcclintock's approach is that they didn't try to upsell me on an entire new system when mine could be fixed and work fine. I've had a few small issues with my AC over the last 10 years and all the other companies I called (mostly from Angie's list) came in with a bunch of literature on replacing my current system when I just wanted a repair. Don't want or need to spend time looking through a big folder of new units, I want my AC fixed reliably - and that is what these guys provided.

THESE GUYS ARE IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE. They are the most professional, honest, truly client satisfaction minded contractor I have ever run across. Randy Race and thier installation team took the time necessary to walk us through the process and develop a program that would meet our family needs. Clean, Efficient, Friendly, Non Intrusive. We have 2 small children and they even would take breaks and be mindful of their nap times. My son wanted to adopt the installation guys. They are truly in a class by themselves as far as quality and integrity. Its is refreshing to hire a contractor and not feel as if I am being taken advantage of.
