They do a quality job and I trust them more than the others; they seem to be more honest. I don’t like the price but it’s comparable to everyone else.

Our daughter's ac went out during an extreme heat wave. I called several companies which had good ratings but no one was available. One company told me that it would probably be the following week before they would be able to service it! I went back to the list and found McClintock. I called them, speaking with a very polite, friendly staff member who told me that although she couldn't promise it she would try to have someone there that day. She said she would check her technicians' schedules and get back to me. Within an hour she called back and said that the technician could be at the house shortly. He arrived as promised and proceeded to do a diagnostic test on the system. He discovered that the motor had burned out. Fortunately, he had a replacement motor on his truck and within an hour and a half the ac system was running! Danny, the technician, did a wonderful job explaining the work to me, stated the cost up front, and on top of that was very professional, polite, and pleasant. A great service experience!

I purchase (2) online coupons for each unit for diagnostic services since I have (2) HVAC units. I was not here when the Service Tech Cam and my husband said the guy said that it " "could be the coil" and that freon probably leaked. Well, to me this doesnn't meet the definition of diagostic. Diagnostic mean you tell me what is wrong. Well, he charges our AC to the tune of around 800 bucks (including my coupons) and then tells my husband the these units weren't made to keep a house cool in these temps in NC. We have lived in this house over five years and it has always been comfortable cool. My home has not gone below 75 down stairs where the issue was and now my upstairs is warm, and that wasn't the problem to begin with, but since I was having someone come out I wanted both units checked.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!

Danny from McClintock called us back within 10 minutes of my call to request service this morning (Saturday) and said he had two service calls ahead of us and that he would be at our house at noon. He explained the service fee and confirmed that we still wanted service. We had contacted a few other companies both large and small, but McClintock was the only company that could positively help us before Monday. Danny called at 11:30 and said he was on his way and that he would be here before noon. He arrived right on time. Based on the symptom he had a good idea what the problem was quickly confirmed we had a blown compressor/fan capacitor on the outside unit. He had our system working within 10 minutes. He performed a refrigerant check on both of our systems and said we shouldn't have any problems but if we did to give him a call. We have complete trust in Danny and McClintock Heating Cooling and Electrical and will be contacting them in the fall for our winter service. There was no pressure to 'sell' us anything we didn't need or try to get us into a service contract. Danny did say that if I wanted to buy a contract it would save us on the repair but pointed out that the coupon we had saved us slightly more. I felt I could trust him to make any recommendations that he deemed necessary but fortunately he said both systems were in great shape after his inspection. In conclusion, I can recommend McClintock and their certified service techs and will definitely be using them in the future. Rob G. Charlotte, NC

When we found out we needed a new hvac system, we decided to get at least three estimates before having any work done. We found McClintock on Angie's List and they had good reviews so we called them. Randy came out and was very thorough in his evaluation even taking measurements for a load balance report, something the other companies didn't do. We were impressed with the professionalism and all the information Randy provided on his initial visit. He promised to email an estimate the next day. The estimate was even better than we expected and since we liked the professionalism, we decided to hire McClintock. From start to finish, the entire experience was phenomenal. From the project manager, Brian, to the men who did the actual installation, we could not ask for a better group of people. Randy showed up to check on things the first day and the company owner, Rob McClintock showed up the second day to check on his crew and to personally thank us for our business. The install went flawlessly and they cleaned everything up each day. Communication has been great and they kept us informed every step of the way. We knew what to expect and when to expect it. They even brought out a ladder for the county inspector to use during his inspection. It was great to have the inspector tell us we chose a good contractor and it wouldn't take him long to check everything since McClintock's work is so reliable. We definitely got our money's worth, and the Trane system they installed is running great even in this 100+ degree weather we've been having the past couple of weeks. We highly recommend McClintock and plan to use them for all our hvac needs in the future.

I called on Sunday evening after our A/C stopped working, left a message that we could wait until Monday for someone to look at it.. Technician Tommy was here before 2 o'clock on Monday.After a thorough check of the system and asking me many questions Tommy resolved the issue and gave advice on how to avoid the problem in the future. Very satisfied.

In short, McClintock provides the highest level of professionalism, customer service, reliability, respect for property, follow-up and excellent communications from start to finish. We moved from Cincinnati, OH to Charlotte and both ACs started leaking in our home within a few months of moving. McClintock came highly recommended to us, so we started using them for our annual service contract, which gave us confidence in their recommendation for a dual fuel system. Other quotes wanted to replace both ACs and both furnaces. McClintock said that was not necessary. They will not oversell--if the customer doesn't need it, they will not try and sell it. Their exceptional friendliness combined with their customer service, knowledge and fair pricing makes us a McClintock customer forever. Most of all, they are prompt, arrive when they say they will, call when they promise and never leave the customer uninformed. We highly recommend this company for all HVAC jobs. Their reputation is impeccable.

They were very professional. They were easy to schedule, and they did exactly what they said they would do. I am pleased with my air-conditioning.

We extended our service contract with them, so they can continue servicing our heating and ac units. They are the best. When we were living in two places, they bent over backwards to meet our scheduling needs. They are competent and pay attention to detail.

I have had some repairs done a year before and it was with a different company and they came in and barely lifted the machine and told me right away that I had to get new air conditioner. I convinced them to do a little repair but the bottom line was this guy didn't even go there, he didn't even start that way, he thoroughly check things out to see what was happening and said no I don't really think you need one right now, you're probably going to have to need one in a couple of years. So he didn't right away, try to push me to buy a unit so I really appreciated that.

Overall, person was punctual, professional, and answered my questions. I have been using this company for my annual maintenance plan for the past few years, since they have the lowest freon price. The quote for the new system however is significantly higher then other quotes I received for a larger product (Trane 2T XR15 system). I decided to go with another highly rated angie list referral.

He was very assertive and that helped me when it came to getting it repaired.

IMPORTANT; If you are the type that selects the lowest price on goods or services, this company is not for you. However if you are looking to get top quality service at a reasonable competitive price, LOOK NO FURTHER! This Review is very late in coming, only because I was too lazy. I do not review many contractors and I am very hard to satisfy as a customer. I generally expect service providers to do a good job as part of hiring them. So when I take time to write a review, they have really gone out of their way to meet/exceed my expectations. McClintock HVAC, is truly one of, if not the most professional contractor I have ever employed. From the initial sales consultation to the follow up, on a bit of warranty work, they impressed me in ever manner. The owner and the sales person spent time explaining the best way to control the climate in my house and actually talked me away from overspending on too much cooling capacity. The installers were so concerned about caring for my home, during the days of installation, I actually had to tell them, there was no need to put the house back to its original state every day. (They put down protective runners ALL over the house and wore protective paper covers over their shoes at all times. At the end of each day they took up all the runners, removed every piece of equipment and vacuumed the entire two floors they were working in) The Job was done quickly and on time. The owner stopped by daily to check on the work and crew. His office filled out the documents I needed to receive rebates and credits from the utility companies, and they serviced the system for the next year for free. Recently when there was found a small design problem with one of my Thermostat/controllers (outside of the labor warranty) they came and replaced BOTH Thermostat/controllers in my home with new more expensive models for free. (This was no fault of McClintock. it was a Honeywell device). I did my homework researching HVAC companies, when I decided to replace the systems and it paid off quite well.

Absolutely the best experience that I could have ever hoped for! It was time to replace our 17 year-old HVAC system. I knew it was going to be expensive but I also knew that I did not want to spend too much time shopping around. Finding the the right company was more important than finding the cheapest price. McClintock was that company! I know that I might have gotten a better price somewhere else but there is no doubt in my mind that McClintock was the best choice I could have made. After my initial meeting with the sales rep, I was so impressed with how I was treated and with the information presented that I never even called another company. I knew McClintock was who I wanted to do business with. From the initial meeting with the sales rep to the Quality Assurance follow-up after the unit was intalled the McClintock employees were always prompt, professional, and very helpful. Every question I had was answered to my satisfaction. Every concern was addressed and resolved. We have a great Trane system installed and at a fair price. Most importantly, I feel we have a great company to back it up. I am 100% completely satisfied with my experience with McClintock. I would recommend them to anyone!

We were afraid the capacitor was blown, or that worse yet, the unit finally needed to be replaced. However, it was only a wire near the capacitor that needed to be replaced. Very simple, very quick, and very reasonable on the wallet! Thank you McClintock HVAC!!

We needed to have our A/C unit checked out. We called another service, the company who installed the unit when we purchased the home in 2006. Someone came who wasn't an employee, but a vendor hired by the company. The truck had no signage and his customer skills were lacking. We had to pay for him coming out, but knew we had to get another estime. Immediately I joined Angie's list and found McClintock. I likeed the reviews also how you post the date and cost. I Immediately called McClintok after I found them on Angie's List. They called the following morning, very early, and was able to get a tech. to come out that day. They performed an diagnostic and said if we took their service that amount would be credited. We were quoted $400.00 less than the other company; again that guy being a vendor significantly hiked of their cost. We liked Dan from McClintok. He explained what was wrong in lay terms, clearly until we understood the nature of the problem and the repair. I highly recommend this company and hope the work performed will last for many many years. Thank you Angie's list.

They followed up on the phone call, but didn't have immediate availability. However they did go out of their way to try to schedule with my and my wife's schedule as soon as possible. We ended up signing a maintenance contract. They're a little expensive, but they're reliable, dependable, punctual, & accommodating with their schedule whenever possible.

We got them from Angie's List. They were willing to work under extenuating circumstances and through a third party, because we were out of town. They were very accommodating and cooperative under the circumstances. The price was fair. It has continued to work very smoothly.

They were recommended to us by our neighbor. They didn't charge us for a call out fee because a worker was already in the area. We were really thrilled about that. The guys who come out are super nice and thorough with showing us what we need to do on out part. I will definitely use them again.

ITommy spend much time to inspect all heating and air conditioning units. He explained everything he was doing and then even suggested a few improvements for items he saw when under and around the house that were not even serviced by his company. the detail and time (3 hours) he invested was the best. Price was competitive nothing great but definitely felt that I got what paid for.......would recommend this company

These guys are fantastic. A great company. About 5 years ago they replaced a different heating and cooling system in another part of my house and since then have been doing my bi-annual check-ups. My second old system finally died in the early Spring and they came out this week and replaced it too. They are easy to work with, show up on time, work very hard and diligently, clean up well and everything runs smoothly. I've got two great A/C systems now that heat/cool my house quickly, seamlessly and efficiently. And their price is right too! You will NOT find another HVAC company in Charlotte who will serve you better! Up-most professionals in every way. I give Mcclintock Heating Cooling and Electric my highest recommendation!

The Technician took the time to thoroughly troubleshoot and determine the problem. He explained fully all of the options before giving his recommendation. The repair was quick and the price was reasonable. My price includes the coupon. I would use next time and thinking of putting my HVAC system on a regular maintenance schedule with them.

We have been using McClintock for several years for semi-annual tune-ups/repairs on our HVAC package unit. The service technician that came to our house this time was the same one that we had in the fall. No complaints and will continue to use this company in the future.
