Awesome service! Thank you McClintock. Thank you DEVIN!! Devin was our service technician and he did a fantastic job for us. He took some time to explain things to me, how these parts in the system work together and what the noise was that I was hearing from the attic unit. We had a humming and hissing noise that was obviously the problem and no air was coming from the vents. I made him aware that cost was a concern for us and he went over and above to resolve the problem as cost effectively as possible. There were a few possible problems, but Devin tried the least expensive route for me first and went from there. He replaced the capacitor and got the motor working again. Devin was personable, smart, informative and great to work with. I will keep his card and ask for his service specifically again. Thanks to Samantha as well for getting me scheduled the same day and being so professional on the phone. I have used McClintock a few times and this service was just as good as the ones in the past. Their prices have always been fair and they are less expensive than a lot of others. Devin even made me aware of coupons for their services in the event I did not have one. Not many techs would even mention that kind of thing.

They are just expensive and they don't know what they are doing. It was my first time using them, but I've used them several times since then. One of the times they totally misdiagnosed the problem and overcharged me for the service they provided. Three pounds of Freon and a bad diagnosis and they charged me $600. I would definitely never use them again.

First visit was fine, did a thorough check sold me on new attic cover though and not real sure it will pay off. Second visit in summer was much better, felt like visit was thorough and technician was not trying to sell me additional services, but let me know all my options.

We've used McClintock several times and we'll probably use them when it's time to replace our system. Parts had to be ordered and the company was prompt in sending someone to install them. We've always had someone out the same day or the next. The repairmen are prompt and courteous. I gave a B for price because I think most companies charge to much...McClintock probably charges no more than any other company.

They took their time to explained and showed me the steps they were going to take to complete this task and were very willing to answer any of my questions along the way. They were very professional and the customer service was outstanding. A dedicated group of professionals. The old units were removed from my premise. They left my home and yard as neat as it was when they entered. Thanks guys for a great job...

A lot of people recommended them. They were really efficient, and they did a really good job on the installation. They just finished up last week.

They did a fine job. I thought the price was very reasonable.They were supposed to get back to me about an estimate for replacing the unit, but they never did. I would use them again.

Called provider Friday evening (8-9-2013). Tech returned call promptly I advised a/c in rental house not cooling properly. He stated week-end rate would be $129.00 for service call and opposed to $89.00 normally. Met at rental property 9:30am next day. Tech advised low freon. He added 2.1 lbs, checked inside of property. Appeared everything ok. Told me he would go to truck and write up the bill. Presented bill for $437.00 which specified $154.00 per pound for r-22 and $129.00 for service call. Tech never mentioned the price per pound for r-22. I believe McClintock (according to online sources and my own personal experience as a landlord) can buy the r-22 for under $15.00 per pound. Prices for freon in the Charlotte market vary greatly (from $50.00 to McClintock's $154.00), but the thing is, they all pay about the same thing for the product! I should have known better!!! Be sure you know how much you are paying before you let them to do your work!!

From the time I contacted McClintock they were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful I explained that I had guests coming and my upstairs air conditioning unit was not working. They arranged to come out the next day, arrived on time, called before they got here, and completed the work in a timely professional manner. I would definitely use them again.

The installation went as promised. The job entailed joining a complete new system to the ducting and utility supplies previously used. The work was done professionally and with attention to detail. The technicians covering the installation arrived on time both days as arranged with our schedule. All care was taken to keep the house clean where it was necessary to walk in and out, covering carpets and stairs with drop clothes. No damage was done to any part of the house as the bulky items were moved inside to the installation location. All of the system controls were explained several times until we understood them. McCLintock even promised to move the thermostat at a later date if we had any issues with the operations, as we did not have an optimal location for the new controllers available. The follow up technical visit went as expected and on time. The state inspector passed the work the first time. At the end of the job the house was clean and the work outside was completed and all debris cleared away. The old units were also removed. McClintock helped us to obtained the maximum benefits available for our job, including alerting us to all available tax credits, a discount (from Angie's list), and took care of the Duke Energy rebate check. There was no request for any payment unitl the job was completed to out satisfaction All in all an excellent experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending others to use their service. They were very professional, the representative from their company, Marlon, came to the house and presented us the options, he was quite prepared with his brochures, he has different options in terms of pricing and so fort. They seem to be the most professional than the two other companies that I talked to. The owner of the company came out and check them to make sure everything was going fine.

Based on reviews on Angie's List I selected this provider. I had previously used a "bigger" company the prior week. They filled up the freon for $500 and 2 days later it was all gone. They had also come out during the heat wave last year and replaced the capacitor (??). This provider came out and expertly diagnosed the problem and gave me possible solutions. They were very helpful and easy to talk to. Including the girls at the front office. I decided to replace the unit as it was 15 years old. I was able to hide them a key and when I arrived in the afternoon they were finishing up asking were the vacuum cleaner was. Wow! Unit works great!

Danny arrived on time and fixed the problem quickly. He does a great job everytime he works out here. Have used them several years and always great service!

We had purchased a big deal which was for them to inspect the system but we ended up having to have some components replaced. They were professional and thorough and we were pleased with them. We have had them come out and do some other work as well.

We realized the day we moved into our recently purchased home that the mail level AC was not working. Because of our maintenence contract with McClintock at our previous home, we asked McClintock to help diagnose the problem. The technician (Tommy) quickly discovered that the compressor would need major repair. He also noted that the same unit had a repacement compressor only 18 months before, and questioned why we might be having another compressor related problem so quickly. Upon further inspection, the technician discovered that there was only one AC return on the main level of the home (when there should have been two). It appeared that during the original home construction (about 7 years ago) the second return was accidentally covered with drywall and the second return/grill was never operational. This was causing the compressors not to function properly and have chronic problems. A different technician (Kevin) from McClintock came out a second day to try and get a better idea of where to find the "mysterious" second AC return. The process of locating the second return was not an easy task, and involved some educated guesswork on the part of Kevin. Kevin was one of the most hard working and focused technicians, and was very diligent in finding and solving the problem. Many thanks to Kevin for his determination and work ethic in locating the mysterious second AC return, and thanks to Tommy for identifying the true cause of our compressor problem (that over the course of the last 7 years had apparently been undiagnosed and overlooked by multiple AC companies).

They did a great job, and they notified me when it was time for them to come back and do another check up. I thought that was very helpful.

He came out June 4 to give an estimate. Today is June 12 and I am still waiting to hear from them regarding price.

Excellent....the installation of the new system was completed as scheduled and promised. The service technicians were knowledgable, professional, and polite. The support staff were also very polite and knowledgable. The whole process from start to finish was painless...and stress free.

I noticed small pools of water under the AC system and thought there may be a problem so I called McClintock. The technician, Devin, came out and thoroughly checked the system. He assured me there was no problem and that the water was just a condensation issue and was normal. He was very knowledgeable and great to work with. I have tried many AC companies and was not pleased with most of them but I will definitely use McClintock in the future. They were honest, thorough and came out the very same day.
