From beginning to end I cannot believe a better outcome is possible. This is my second replacement HVAC system. The first was for the 1st floor. I'm an extremely happy repeat customer. Highly recommended. Two thumbs up!

I was very impressed with the entire process. I was told upfront what was needed and was not sold any extras. The crews that came were on time and dedicated. They not only cleaned up the debris they created when removing the old stuff, but also took away anything that had been left from the original build. They cleaned up daily so no piles of trash to look. They came back for a review a week after the install was completed to be sure we were satisfied. They didn't mind my big dogs that were there on the last day. I will recommend them to anyone needing this done. Nice job gentlemen.

The technician, Tommy Driggers, performed the most thorough maintenance servicing we have ever had on our heat pump. He checked things and did things other companies we've used never did. He is knowledgable and very friendly, and we will request him for our next scheduled service.

From the beginning with a detailed and easy-to-understand sales contract and competitive offer, to the skilled install team with really excellent finishing work (great safety features, and a perfect new vent installation), through the seamless county inspection, and then capped with the recent follow-up from my professional quality assurance expert. My expectations were met or exceeded on all fronts. The quality of the new Trane system, and the care of the installation and follow-up visit, is as good as it gets. In fact every point of contact I have had at McClintock has been so professional and friendly. They care about the work they do, and they value the customer. I highly recommend McClintock for HVAC installation and service.

From the moment that Matt (Salesman) stepped into my home back in December to give me a quote until my interaction today I have been thoroughly impressed with each and every employee that I have come into contact with, on the phone, via email, or in person. McClintock Heating and Cooling truly is a benchmark for HVAC companies in the greater Charlotte area. While It's never exciting to spend the amount of money a complete new system costs these days, I feel certain that I couldn’t have spent that money with a better company.

We are long time customers of McClintock including work at our prior home for over 15 years. They are consistently the very best in all respects. I have recommended them to two of our neighbors who have had new units installed and who sing the praises of their work with McClintock.

Didn’t. Set appointment almost 2 weeks prior for 8-9am. Took time off from work to wait for this appointment. 20 mins after 8am, I call to find out that my appointment is the 2nd stop and will be at my home for the 10-11am block. This was not going to work for me, so I cancelled my appointment. Poor communication on their part resulted in my wasted time and missed time at work. There are enough competitors in the Heating & Cooling industry to find another company to service my system on time. On a positive side, the ladies in the office were extremely friendly and helpful.

McClintock runs a good business. Easy to work with, fair priced, excellent service, knowledgeable sales and tech folks. McClintock replaced our 18 year old gaspack . Before firming up the price, their installation manager came out and inspected the existing setup, so no surprises would happen during the installation. They showed up on install day when they said they would, removed the old unit, reworked the plenums, electric, and gas connections. They even finished by their estimated time, even though our neighborhood electricity went out for several hours. A few days later they followed up with a service visit to give the unit a once over after it had been running for a few days. I do heartily recommend McClintock. If you looked in my dictionary, you'd find a picture of McClintock H&C...

We had our downstairs unit replaced in June, and everything from initial estimates to final installation went smoothly and professionally. I like the work that they did, and would definitely use them again in future.

So our upstairs AC was not keeping up (blowing cool air, but not cold air), so we called McClintock to come diagnose our system (mainly just because our neighbors used them recently). I would have to say the original diagnosis was awful (I feel like I could have googled the same thing without them). First they said it was our filters (even though our second system had filters that looked the same and had been replaced at the same time), then it was our outside coil was dirty (once again, the other unit running fine, looked the same). Finally, they said the system was low on freon, which they added (though performed no leak check). It would cost another $264 to do a leak check (which the said after adding the freon already), which I thought was ridiculous. A leak check should be part of the $89 I was paying to have my system diagnosed. Well, the system proceeded to leak out the ~$250 worth of freon that was added the next day. So, as I said before, they told me I had to pay another $264 to leak check the system, and then pay for any fixes they found. So essentially, I would be out over $600 before my system could even be fixed. Needless to say, I told them to not come back. I found a much better company who diagnosed the entire system and fixed it for less than what McClintock was going to charge before the system was even repaired. I will never use McClintock again would recommend you go elsewhere for your HVAC needs.

Had a thorough evaluation of the homes needs from a tonnage and efficiency standpoint with price points for different options. We opted to have the work done. Ductwork was revised along with the new units in 2 days. They were clean, competent, and efficient. I would use them again and recommend them to anybody.

We had 2 units replaced in May. The install was seamless- the guys who did the install were prompt, courteous and professional. The ladies in the office were great and knowledgeable! From start to finish, we felt informed and never pressured! We are extremely happy that we chose this company!

Quite well. Master Kevin Kelly and his Padawan Gage were quite personable and knowledgeable. I enjoyed their company, and they explained what they were doing and why. $89 for diagnostic, $203 to clean coils (1st time ever cleaned in 15 years), $398 for refrigerant, $44.21 tax, $35 deduction w/ Angie's List coupon. Grand total $699.21. Perhaps pricey, but I believe a fair price for a well-done job.

Very well. We have just started with them with an AC checkup but they have been very impressive so far.

Even though it was a Saturday morning, the technician, Tommy, arrived before 12 noon. He was personable and thorough as he explained what the possible causes were and the diagnostic steps he was going to do. He then determined the freon was low and replenished it to the proper level. Including the diagnostic charge, the bill ended up over $500 but most of that was for the required amount of R-22 freon which apparently has become very expensive. Overall, I was very impressed with the responsiveness of McClintock and Tommy's professional knowledge and manner.
