He came when he said he would and diagnosed the problem quickly. He was not able to fix it as he warned, but he walked me through all of the other options. He was courteous and helpful.

I came home last Thursday and found the furnace blowing cold air and the thermostat with no display. I called McClintock (who have been taking care of us for quite a few years now) and asked them to come over. It was after hours so I left a message. I had a call back within 15 minutes and the technician showed up to my house within the hour. The bad news was that the heat exchanger was cracked. The good news was that it was still under warranty (the furnace was installed in 2001). Wes at McClintock took care of contacting the company and working out the particulars for the warranty, I didn't have to deal with any of that nonsense, they handled it all. The part finally came in today (Tuesday). As soon as they had it in their hands there was a crew over here working to get it installed. Wes, who normally works in the office, and Darren showed up at 2:00 and stayed late to make sure that our heat got turned on before Christmas. Like I said, I've used McClintock for years now and this is one of the reasons I do. These guys are great and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I was extremely pleased with the service provided. The technician was professional and very helpful; he went beyond expectations in examining and explaining my heating system (which wasn't part of the install) and setting up my thermostats. I wouldn't hesitate to use McClintock again.

Devin did a good job of communicating the status of the systems, his recommendations, and the associated costs. The work was completed within the anticipated time frame. He provided a very detailed and complete report of the work completed.

Look no further ! This is the company and people you want to deal with !! I have dealt with McClintock for about 6 years and they have always treated me right ! Always on time , excellent repair and maintenance at a fair price ! During this years inspection there were a couple of issues that came up to repair a 20 year old unit. I decided it was time to replace with a new system. McClintock sent out their consultant , Randy Race, to explain what Trane systems had to offer . Randy spent over 2 1/2 hours with me , a great guy and very knowledgable, explaining the differences in the variety of furnace and air conditioning models ! Randy answered all my questions and said he would write up several options in a proposal and I could decide if McClintock met my needs. The proposals arrived in two days. The proposals were clear , and concise, outlining models, warranty info, description of all work to be completed, and prices including any rebates, credits, etc. I picked my system and Randy came over with the contract the next day. Randy also brought Brian , the project manager , who inspected my attic space and made notes and explained the upgrades going to be done to meet current codes and also answered a few more of my questions. Brian would discuss his notes with intallers to be sure they were clear on exact work and equipment needed. I set up my install dates and Paul and Simon were there on time and completed the two day job. They were neat and helpful. Covering the carpet with a drop cloth and wearing shoe booties. When I went up in the attic to offer drinks they gladly answered questions that came to my mind. I mentioned a couple of tears in some old duct work....they said they replaced that section ( instead of taping it )... no extra charge! They rearranged the duct work for better air flow and did a great job on upgrading the drain system to meet code. They even put down some particle board for easier work access to the area and then asked if I would like them to leave it for extra storage for me....no charge! These are not expensive items but it demonstrates the little extras that everyone at the company does to make the job as perfect as it can be ! Both Randy and Brian came by both days to check on installation and ensure I was happy. At the end of installation Paul (installer) had told me the outside A/C unit didn't sound right... and he would tell the office . I also called Randy who said he would check into it first thing next work day. Devon (and Randy) came out and immediately knew it was a slighty bent fan blade....I didn't have to argue or say anything... Devon immediately called in the order so it would be shipped asap. Devon and Randy also explained the new thermostat to me ....I really like it now that I understand it ! Yesterday Devon came and installed the new fan blade and a new top for the unit which was scratched , that he noticed not me! He also tested the system and double checked everything and let me watch. Even though it was after 5pm he didn't rush and stayed until the job was done...perfectly . I also want to thank Kimberly for helping with all the paperwork , scheduling, warranty , rebate, etc. ...and Samantha and Kathy too. McClintock is a great company , with a great product and even better people ! THANKS FOR A GREAT JOB

Once I called McClintock the process went in five stages: 1). In-home appointment with salesperson (Randy), 2). Proposal received, reviewed and compared against two other proposals, proposal accepted, signed and 50% deposit sent to company, 3). Install crew chief made appointment to come to house to see current furance and determine install parts requirements and placement of new floor return, 4). Furnace, humidifer, return and thermostats installed in two consecutive days, and 5.) City electrical inspection which passed a few weeks after the install. The process from start to finish took about 4 weeks. Sales: The salesperson was knowlegable and did not have a "sales pressure" presentation. He was on time and answered all my questions. Installation: The McClintock company has an expert for each item installed and they were all here. I think there were six different crews and Mr. McClintock even stopped by to introduce himself and make sure I was satisfied with the install. There was a crew for the tear down and install, another for the humidifier, another for the return install and another for the thermostats. All were not here at the same time so it was not confusing or overwhelming. The furance is a Trane XV 95, the humidifier which is attached to the furnace is a Honeywell TrueSTEAM system and the thermostats are Trane XL824 Smart Control units which are wirelessly controlled through my home modem. Through the Nexia Home Intelligence gateway, the thermostats monitor the houses' two furnaces, two A/C units, the humidifier and the exterior temperature and have a five day weather forcast all on a 7 day programmable color display. I can control the termostats from anywhere with an app on my cell phone. Other items like home security cameras, light switches and outlets, and door locks can be added to the network and wirelessly monitored and controlled by the thermostat. I'm considering adding the door locks. The furnace has a 10 year parts and 5 year labor warrenty, the thermostat a 5 year parts and labor warrenty. A transferrable warrenty and a CO2 monitor were also included. I highly recommend McClintock Heating, Cooling and Electrical. This is a big recommendation because I am picky and I inspect and test everything after installation.

Technician arrived promptly, Took care to ensure our heater was operating efficiently, asked if some parts of our home tend to be cold while others are too hot (yes!) and suggested a solution. In addition, he noted that we did not have a carbon monoxide detector -- we do now! We are on McClintock's Annual Service Agreement, so we received a discount on the detector. :)

They came back to check the furnace operation after they installed all new ducts.

I contacted McClintock for a service call on my heater. The office staff was very helpful in helping me understand the various options available and decide what my needs where. I had not serviced my HVAC since buying my home 11 years ago. The technician,Chris, was on time and very knowledgeable. He addressed my original concern about the humidifier and took the time to explain in detail about the whole system and heater. I learned a lot about things I should be doing to help maintain the unit. He also found the beginning of a water leak I will need to address.

McClintock did an excellent job!! The work was completed in the timeline promised and the crew was extremely professional and courteous. The process is very intrusive since the crew has to be in the house for so much of the work. However, the team was quiet, neat and very respectful of the fact that they were in our home and working around us. We chose McClintock to provide this work because of their competitive price and their unmatched warranty!! We are extremely pleased with the end result and the entire process!!! Thank you McClintock!! Now if we can only figure out how to manage our new fancy systems!!

Darren showed up a little early (service call was 8-9, and he got there at 7:55am). And he was awesome! He knew that I was a new face (my wife usually has been the service contact in our house, and he remembered being at our house a few times before), and after introducing himself and explaining what was planned for the service call, he went right to work. When he finished up the preventative service, he showed me on the iPad a detailed list of every service performed, and I could even sign my name right on the iPad app (and get the receipt emailed to me). Overall, I can't say enough good things about McClintock (my wife and I have been customers for several years now). As far as I'm concerned, they have a customer for life!

I found them on Angie's List. Their quoted price includes labor and materials. I would recommend getting a quote from them because they are very upfront about their pricing and their willingness to work through standard solutions to problems. They will try to fit a solution to my budget. I don't think the equipment costs as much as they are quoting. When I go out and look at it I don't see that much material. When I emailed them they got back to me. I talked to two of their people and they are very professional. I do not know whether I am going to go with them or not.

Mr. McClintock met me at my home. He was on-time, courteous, & professional. He provided me with several different options for replacement. The quote was provided same day and was broken down in detail about the work that would be done. Top notch and most professional of all that provided me a quote. I ultimately did not select this provided because the price came in a little higher than another provider.

I was very happy with their service. They ran some ducting for us in our basement as part of the planning for the basement completion. They were professional. We have used them before a couple of times. The cost was reasonable. We talked to several people. But they advised us that our system was large enough to handle both the upstairs and downstairs. We needed no additional devices to heat and cool the basement in their opinion and that we could use our existing system. That saved us money there because we didn’t know anything about it. They come when they say they would and they are fairly priced.

The planning and installation went very well. The house was built in 1930 which presented numerous challenges from design and installation points of view. Rob McClintock spent considerable time in assessing the house and recommending the best combination of HVAC equipment to meet our needs. Ariel managed the installation that took about two weeks. He and his crew did a fantastic job and the attention to detail was incredible. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and the two new HVAC systems are working great. It is not very often that my expectations are exceeded, but the McClintock team did just that. The positive Angie?s List reviews led me to choose McClintock and I am very glad I did. I will continue to use McClintock HVAC for maintenance needs in the future.

We have been McClintock Heating and Cooling customers since Rob and Kim first started their business in 2001. Over the years, the technicians have changed, but we have always received outstanding service. Chris Abernethy tops them all, though! His knowledge, professionalism, and courteous demeanor were truly excellent. He always takes extra time and care with our systems, and thoroughly answers all my questions (and I ALWAYS have a lot of questions!). When Chris was here for routine maintenance this past summer, it was an extremely hot day. Chris never complained or took short cuts, whether he was outside or in the sweltering attic. In fact, Chris went well beyond what was required of him, and thoroughly impressed us once again. We have been so pleased with our maintenance contract with McClintock and will continue to be loyal customers for a long time to come! Thanks again for taking such great care of us.

I had such a great experience with MCClintock! They came out and gave me an estimate right away where other companies had to schedule an estimate for 3-5 days later. They quoted me a great price and the level of service was fantastic!! They handled every little detail of my air conditioner installation with professionalism and care. They also rushed to get the unit installed when I told them I had company coming to town and even registered my unit with Trane for me!! As a busy mom I really appreciated that! I will absolutely use them again and again!

The service was good and they did it quickly. They offered the best price. They were here about a day. Two people came out to perform the work. I would tell a friend or family member that they are very professional and easy to deal with.

Told me I needed to replace the entire coil and heat pump as it was 9 years old and had a life of 8 to 10 years. Quoted an approximate price of $3,500 for the AC repair and said I should also replace the entire system that included heating also for another $1,000. Told me I would need another sales person to come out a estimate the entire job. Called for a second opinion from Horne heating and AC (also top on Angie's list)., the repairman came out, found the leak in a valve. It took him 15 minutes. Fixed it on the spot. I had him replace both valves, charged the system and told me it should be good for another 10 years. The system is rated at 50-20 years. Total cost of researching issue was FREE and the cost to fix and charge the system came in at $1,200. It felt like I was being conned by McClintock, especially after a good repairman provided me with honest information along with my research. I would suggest you do not use McClintock, use Horne. They are great to deal with, quick without multiple visits to upsell you and I don't work on commission.

Job went well, the two installers were here for most of two days. They had additional help when they needed more man power and they worked diligently in an attic that was over 130 degrees. Impressive as it had to be the hottest spell we had this year.

McClintock's technicians worked diligently to diagnose the problem. They ordered and later installed a thermal expansion valve, thinking that was the root cause of our sudden poor cooling performance. When that did not improve the situation, Wes from McClintock came out to our property and worked tirelessly in the hot summer sun and our uncooled attic to get to the root cause of the problem. It turns out that a short in the blower had the fan spinning in the wrong direction, meaning virtually no air was being pushed out of the registers in our guest room. Wes from McClintock was extremely determined to solve the problem and did not stop until he succeeded. Furthermore, Wes authorized McClintock to refund the entire cost of the original fix - nearly $500 - since it didn't solve the problem. While we were disappointed and inconvenienced to not have cooling during the July 4th weekend when we had guests visiting, Wes and McClintock's diligence and accountability more than made up for it.

After 18 yrs, my old hvac system was on its last leg. We searched for the best company (service, reliability, experience) and we found them with McClintock Heating and Cooling. From the initial quote, (listening to what we wanted in a new system) to install, was 1st class all the way. Attention to details, on-site follow ups, Even a personal visit from the owner. Thank you McClintock Heating and Cooling, you have another happy and loyal customer!!!

Provided free second opinion on evaporator coil replacement and provided a quote. Asked to see first quote on repair to confirm that it was indeed a second opinion. After confirming that replacement was needed, proceeded to provide us with a higher quote then the first quote. Seeing as they saw the first quote, one would think they would attempt to beat the price to get the work. Guess they don't really want the work. Update: After calling to question the quote amount being higher then our first quote (and higher then quotes received by nearby neighbors recently for the same work), Wes from McClintock called me back promptly to talk through their quote. He explained that the technician didn't see the original quote that we left on the porch for him. I mentioned that a neighbor recently received a quote for the same work for $300 or so less, and that I had recently received a quote over the phone for around that same amount less then his quote. He said he would really appreciate our business and offered to lower his quoted amount to match the number the others were quoting. I very much appreciated his willingness to work with me on the price. He was very professional, courteous, and responsive.
