We were selling our house and had a couple small things that were found during our home inspection that the buyers wanted taken care of by an electrician. We bought a special deal for a service call and one hour of the electrician's time. He was punctual, courteous, professional. He took care of both items and was a pleasure to work with. We would hire him again without hesitation. A really nice guy.

The appointment was easy to schedule and we received email confirmation of the date, time and service costs. The electrician showed up on time, completed the job quickly and cleaned up after himself. We will use this company again and highly recommend them.

The electrician was extremely professional and approachable. He did not give up until he discovered the problem with our outlets, and told me about a loose wire in the bathroom outlet which could have been dangerous. The installation of the light fixtures was professionally done.

The team at Gowdy is top notch. Very responsive, very polite, did a quality job. About 6 months after installation, I was having trouble figuring out to replace a light in a rather tricky spotlight lamp. They offered to come by and do it for me if I left the bulbs on my porch. Now THAT is customer service! I plan on using them for future projects and referring them to anyone who asks.

He came out and looked at the electrical panel saw that it was wired incorrectly and wired it correctly. Took about a half hour if that. It's only tripped 2 or 3 times since.

The office and the two electricians were really nice to work with but I think the cost was way, way too much. I later learned that I could have booked electricians at a rate half of what they charged. That said, I liked them a lot ... just not the price!

Upon exposing the existing electrical outlet on the ceiling it was discovered the support bolts supplied with the Hunter fan were not long enough. The workman knew what was required and I went to Lowe's to purchase them while he assembled the fan and installed the wall switch. No time was lost.

I bought a big deal for this service. As I recall it was fine; I have no complaints. If I had been unhappy it would have stood out. I had no complaints; obviously whatever the problem was they resolved it and they did it on time.

I have known the owner since before he open the business and was a young man and have used him several times and they are by far the best electricians in the area And the nicest people professional people and do awesome work. You couldn't ask for better service, professionalism and all-around a great experience. They came out to my house last week, after I had purchased a deal from another service provider on Angie's list, who basically charged me approx $650 for work firstly did not fix the problem; while he was here he rushed around my house and had me and my friend help him do the work, ; in fact he was here working to check my switches that had burned out and he told me there was nothing wrong with them and I had to actually show him he was wrong after arguing with him that they were sparking and on fire and then he finally said oh yeah you're right ....and then later that day sure enough I still had the original problem. He Never fixed the problem. So when I called him back he came out the next day, he suggested Tgat I take my house out of code, & that might fix the problem, and had the audacity or should I say kahunas you to charge me $75 fee after I just paid him $650 the day before. As I saiid, then I called Gowdy ( Who clearly I would've had come in the first place but again I just couldn't make it happen on my end ) & they came out promptly and were awesome. I If you have an electrical issue or need electrical work done, do yourself a favor, give yourself a present: call Gowdy Electric !!! you will be very happy !!!!

They fixed the problem with no problem. They got right to it, finished it up and did pretty good.

Installer was on time, as scheduled. Work was preformed as needed, went the extra mile to explain what, why and how job was preformed. No problems at all. great job David!

Called this morning, fixed this afternoon in about one hours time.

Ok, not really a problem, but would have thought he would have a CB in truck ( yes, I know there are many kinds) Installer was dressed and acted like a professional

Awesome. He trouble shooted an issue and resolved at no additional charge. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Wow! Went perfect from placing order on Angie's List to having the installation completed in within a day. Contacted provider and very courteous representative sheduled an appointment for the next morning. Technician was not only on time but a little early. Proffesional installation of new outdoor electrical outlet took less than an hour and looks great. I would highly recommend Gowdy Electric because price and service are much better than any I have experienced in the past.

One the initial visit, the electrician would not install the new fan because the "box" was not rated for a ceiling fan installation. So I had to reschedule and have him install the appropriate box and support rated for a fan for $105 more than the $125 deal I originally purchased here on Angie's List. The installer came back today and installed everything in about 1.5 hours for a total price of $230.

(Note that this is a follow up review to the first in which they were unable to meet the agreed time and date for repairs. However to their credit they made every effort to contact me for a second appointment) Tim showed up on time and was able to replaced the burnt out outlet with one he had brought with him. Although I had purchased some in case he said his were better and did not charge me for the one he used. In the past other companies definitely would charge for this part. However, perhaps it was in consideration of their missing the first appointment. I also want to give them credit for working on a Saturday. On this particular day I had no less than 3 contractors at the house and Tim was very understanding. Tim also checked a second outlet which was found to be OK. He also spent time helping me verify voltage readings for the 12 volt system which he found to be low, and suggested that the transformer was bad. It may have been that the bulbs were burned out for 5 of the lights, and once replaced the system works fine. The visit was a success and now all systems are good.

Ceiling fan and light controlled by remote as well as wall switches. One wall switch for the light and the second for the fan. The controller for the remote was broken and needed to be replaced. Second visit I had purchased a new controller and when he went to install he did not know how to hook up the switch for the light. So now only the switch for the fan works. Very disappointed.

Exterior Panel- Installed in Fall of 2013. Began having issues with circut breakers throwing off 12 months later. Gowdy came out for a service call in March of this year and still could not find anything wrong. However I Continue to experience issues with circut breaker to HVAC unit. Chad is a nice guy and responsive but we just never got the issue resolved. In the winter CB switched off to my upstairs heat, and now in the spring my AC does not work. Wiring seems to be an issue but they just can't figure it out. They also installed a converter panel for a gas generator to power appliances, lights, water heater, and downstairts AC in an emergency. After Unit was install it never go completed and then I was informed unit does not have capacity to run AC. Emailed and called owner but never got response from him. Frustrated and need to move onto another service provider

Very quick response on setting up an appointment. Prompt, on time. Completed the work in the designed time. Would use them again.

He did exactly what we wanted and made good suggestions on how best to do the work. He was very professional and cleaned up nicely afterwards. We will definitely call on him again for other electrical needs!

The electrician was very professional and courteous. There was one outlet we completely forgot about because it was behind a furniture. He found it, and found it to have been "burnt" down. We had a small leak nearby, and over the years it seemed to have shorted it out. Half the outlet was "melted" and black. We were lucky it didn't start a fire. The electrician took care of everything, and left us with confidence. The only minor issue was with billing, but Angie and Gowdy took care of everything. Great service!!!

That was good service. They were prompt and very professional. They did exactly what I needed done.
