I called about my disposal and he fixed it. I had some time left on my deal and he fixed another problem I had. Very pleased with the professionalism and promptness of this service.

The technician (Tim) showed up right on time. He asked what type problem we were having, and went right to work. We have an older home with older electrical wiring connections that aren't up to current code. The outlet had a wire come loose due to the way it was originally configured. Tim quickly rewired the outlet which is now up to code and working great. Tim cleaned up around the area and even took a look at our door bell that doesn't work. We will have Gowdy Electric come back soon and repair the chimes for us. Overall I am very pleased.

The big deal was fine. I had forgotten that I had purchased it, and they were happy to come out 10 months later and do the work. They were excellent. They charged a small amount for materials. They were on time, the worker that came out was very professional, and he knew what he was doing. He was very patient, and we had to make a decision about what exactly we wanted him to do, because it involved cutting holes in our dry wall, and he was willing to let me discuss it with my wife. It was overall a positive experience. The only negative side was when I purchased it on Angie's List, it said the coupon did not expire, but when you open the coupon, it says that it expires in 4 months, so until I opened the coupon, I didn't know that it ever expires. When I called them, I told them that I had purchased it 9 months ago, they told me that it had expired 5 months ago, so that was confusing. They still honored it. I would use them again, and I would recommend them to other Angie's List members. I was really happy with the service.

I had a great experience with Gowdy Electric. The owner responded to my request for an appointment late on a Sunday evening and I actually had an electrician in my home before 3:00 PM the following afternoon (and he was a few minutes EARLY!!!). Mike was very professional and personable. This really could not have gone any better.

Electrician quickly found problems and fixed it.

I purchased the Big Deal on 12/11/2014. I emailed them several times, the last email was sent on 12/19/2014. After this date, I called several times trying to schedule an appointment as I had a contractor waiting for this work to be completed. I finally received a response by email on 12/29/2014 informing me that he is too busy and will be unable to perform the work. I requested a refund for this Big Deal.

They installed some lights. They came the time they said they would and they did the job. There were no unexpected issues.

They were ontime, very professional, courteous and reasonable.

My interaction with this company, especially Chad, from beginning to end was excellent. From the initial call when I described my problem and Chad diagnosed over the phone until the end when he told me everything was working I felt confident. Chad arrived and listened intently to confirm the issue and then got to work. He offered a solution that resolved my problem and stayed in my budget and never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. Chad was courteous and respectful. They will be the electricians I use in the future.

Arrived a little later than planned, but called to inform. Was very courteous and professional. Left no trash behind.

The Gowdy electric guys showed up on time and even thought the job took a lot more time than expected the price did not change. These guys know what they are doing and i would highly recommend Gowdy Electric.

Tim, the electrician for this appointment was courteous, friendly & professional. He called to let me know that he was on the way, but was stuck in traffic and would be there in 30-45 mins. That was fine as it was still in the appointment window. When he arrived he instroduced himself and ask what i needed to have done. He listened attentively, reassured me that he could take care of all of my concerns. He made sure to show me and explain how the new light fixtures worked and when done with all the work asked if there was anything else he could do while there before completing the work order. What a breath of fresh air dealing with people who knows and loves what they do and they value & respect the customer. I will definitely use them again in the future and or recommend them to friends & family.

They did a great job. The only frustrating thing was they were a little late and did not call to let me know.

Rang Gowdy and discussed what I wanted - they recommended a simple service call to do the work rather than have a quote. This seemed a good idea as I could guess the time needed and therefore estimate the price. It also eliminated the need for me to be home for a quote & then for the work. We scheduled a time - Gowdy phoned to confirm when they said they would, arrived on time. Tim the electrician was great - he talked me through the options for installing the outlet and the time it would take for each. We decided what to do and he did exactly what we agreed. Tim was very professional, polite & considerate. He worked very quickly. The result was very professional and I am delighted with the result. The final cost was $130 which was much better than the $200 quote I got from a contractor that did a similar job in another bathroom but was a total disaster. Gowdy was excellent from start to finish and I will use them again next time I need an electrician.

They were excellent in every way. I had a lot of work done so they gave me a good price. They were professional and willing to help with any problems. They were pretty good. I would definitely use them again.

We have an old house with aluminum wiring. About 2:30 on Saturday I started to smell smoke coming from an outlet so I called Gowdy Electric. I'd used them before on a friend's recommendation and had been very pleased. I left a message and got a callback within about five minutes even though it was a Saturday. Within less than two hours, Scott was at my house checking the outlet. It turned out he just needed to tighten the screws in the receptacle. (I'd tightened them just four months before, but we have a computer on that outlet that draws power all day, so the wires get really hot and expand.) He took the time to look at a couple other electrical problems I was having as well and gave me a very clear idea of what to watch for and what I can do to keep the electrical system working safely with the aluminum wiring. I continue to be impressed with Gowdy Electric's responsiveness and professionalism.

Very polite. Professional. Showed up on schedule and was done very quickly. The GFI's have not shorted out since, and the floodlight on the pad makes us feel alot safer as it was very hard to see before.

Infortunately we were not able to schedule with the company, so we need to cancel it.

Overall friendly electrician and good job. Price seems high

Jason and Sam did a great job of putting to rest issues that have plagued us since we moved in last year. The work was done quickly, cleanly and I believe expertly. Electrical problems are issues that need a professional, I believe I found them.
