We didn't use this company.

Two gentleman arrived for the appointment on time but when they found out the house wasn't yet built and that we would likely be doing the work in stages-most of the more expensive items would be 9 months out- they changed their approach. I felt that they wanted to leave as quickly as possible once they found out there wouldn't be immediate business. I had a number of questions which one of the gentleman said he could answer once he put together a plan and emailed it to me. I wanted to look at some examples of work they had already completed as well as some items that were different than what they had at the Home Show. Again, I was told that would be forthcoming. I emailed him the plot map of my house while they were there and was told I would receive a quote soon. I told them I routinely plan in advance for purchases we want to make within the next year so that we can budget for them and pay in cash. The appointment was March 7th (it is March 25th as I write this). I haven't recevied any communication from the company since the appointment. I felt like they weren't interested in my business, even at a later date. Worse, I felt patronized. One of the gentleman was very condescending in his manner towards me-even going so far as to ask why my husband wasn't available for the appointment. It is a shame as I plan to spend at least 10-15k on this project and this company won't be receiving my business.

Not so well. The owner of the company is so consumed about not absorbing transactional fees that he lost my business (I had planned to come back and purchase another brand hot tub from this company before this return fiasco happened). At this point the business is under breach of contract.

We were very pleased with the courtesy and punctuality of the young man who set up the inflatable. It was problem free!

It was so easy. We saw them about a year ago at the Mathews Festival and they were so nice when we stopped by their booth. About 8 months later we were seriously talking about putting the patio in and went to the Charlotte Home Show where we saw them again and knew that we wanted to use them. The whole process was very easy and they worked with our schedules. We called and set up a meeting to go over design and price. One thing we really liked was that the owner John wanted to be sure both my husband and I were there for the initial meeting and he came at night after work one day to work with our schedule. John listened to our ideas and what we wanted to use the patio for as well as what we wanted to do in the future with the yard and house. John did a sketch right there and priced everything out, giving us options for our overall vision as well as pricing it out in steps to work with our budget. For example how much for the just patio, then the fire pit, then running natural gas, and so on....this allowed us to see the overall vision and decide how much we could spend now and how much we wanted to wait on until later on. For us it was a pretty easy decision and we put a deposit down. A week or so later John's foreman came and drew the plans with us in spray paint on the grass, this allowed us to make any adjustments to the form and size of patio. A few days later the patio was in and we love it. We had held off on a few things when we originally moved forward with Fun Outdoor Living, a month later we decided to have everything we wanted done. We just called and they came out went over the plan and soon after they work was done. Fun Outdoor Living was easy to work with and the outcome is everything we expected and more.

The experience was excellent from estimate stage to final product. It was a significant project and they handled every detail in a timely and professional manner. We would highly recommend Fun Outdoor Living to anyone who wanted to improve their outdoor living space.

From quoting the project through completion John was always there and was willing to accommodate changes along the way. John listened and made suggestions based on his experience which was priceless. We now spend more time outside enjoying our new addition than inside our house.

We really enjoy working with Fun Outdoor Living. They do great work. They are prompt, and offer great prices. Also, they’ve always been extremely helpful, and their feedback has been invaluable.

Overall there are no compliants. They met our expectatoins. He has even stopped by to say Hello when he was in the area.

The job turned out nicely, and the subcontractors were great, but I wouldn’t recommend them because of the owner. We had to get everything approved by our HOA. The owner had an expired licensed at the time, so the building permit was put under our name instead of his. The start date was delayed a few times. We were charged an extra $2,800.00 because the foundation had to be laid deeper than expected due to water. The additional cost was for the extra concrete and required inspection by an engineer. Basically, I feel that he was quick to add costs, but he failed to take any money off of our bill when the porch was smaller than what the contract stated. I felt that we always had to keep an eye on him, and his attitude was very poor. Little things kept happening, such as trying to use brick instead of the stone we requested, and putting in two feet of flowerbeds instead of three feet like the contract stated. He kept asking for money ahead of the scheduled times outlined in our contract, and it was frustrating experience.

Our experience with them before work began with the estimate and contract was good. However, we had some problems during the work, and I thought they weren’t very responsive. I do have to say that we are pleased with the final outcome.

The work turned out just fine. Initially, there were some issues with our hot tub, but Fun Outdoor Living was very responsive. Overall, I was pleased with their work.

They were quick in getting us the quote, and they had some good ideas. However, we decided not to go through with the project.

I?m happy with the fireplace, and I would certainly recommend their products to others.

They were excellent to work with. Their equipment was very clean, and they followed through on their word.

They are a great, professional company. However, we decided not to move forward with the project.

I like my new grill, and I had no problems with this company.

First meeting great, after that, had radio silence.

The job progressed with mind blowing speed. It is nice that they build components on site and then finish them here. So much mess was avoided. The wall has expanded our usable space by reclaiming areas in planting beds that were once too steep us even walk on comfortably. The job lasted 8 days and 3 of those it rained and 1 day delay was to let my yard dry out. The crews were polite and worked long hours to get it done. Yes, I would definitely recommend Fun Outdoor Living to any one.
