Description of Work: Called to get a quote for replacement of extension springs. I spoke with a rep who scheduled an appt for service the next day. The repairman showed up on time, was professional, courteous, and completed the repair promptly. He also took the time to make some minor adjustments to the gararge door openers that I installed myself. Cox provided quality work at a reasonable price with no surprises (i.e. they honored the quote I was given when the appt was scheduled). I definitely plan to use them again and highly recommend their services!

Description of Work: Had to replace garage door Thursday, they came out following Tuesday to install. Worker was here for several hours and did a wonderful job!!! He didn't have breakdown of labor/materials, so he gave me office # to call, since I had to also call the company with my credit card. Would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: i had replaced the springs on my garage door and had moved the roller guides, trying to stop it from binding, and so that it would go all the way down evenly. when i realized that my repeated "fixes" were making things worse, i called cox door, the company that had worked on my garage doors in the past. wayne case (sp?) arrived on time and quickly evaluated the primary problem. as he replaced worn pulley rollers, he politely pointed out that there were two ways to install springs and that i should have had the hooks pointing upward. as he corrected my mistakes he suggested that i could purchase better-constructed springs from his office, even if i wanted to install them myself. he further gave me exact driving directions so i understood that his suggestion wasn't casual conversation, but an honest offer to help me do a better job. when i pointed out bent metal supports on the second garage door, which i did not mention when making the appointment, wayne case didn't grumble. instead he commented that it wasn't a big job o fix. again, he squared away my problem professionally and i noted that he told the prier when he called in the jobs for billing that he only used 3 feet of angle metal, not a full length. i am very pleased with the work performed, the pleasant and competent professionalism of the company's representative, and with the very reasonable price charged. tom kiernan 5440 cedarmint drive mint hill, nc 28227 704-516-6281

Description of Work: The company provided alternatives for garage door replacement, kept me informed re status during fabrication process, scheduled the installation (done better than original) and processed pre- and post-installation credit care payments accurately, all without our having to be present! It was ideal for a busy working couple.

Description of Work: Garage door would not stay down when it was closed with the electric door lift. Called Cox about 7:45AM, and they said someone would be at my house between 10 and 12 of that down. Representative arrived as promised, analyzed the problem and replace a gear in the lift. Also, checked the door, and made necessary maintenance work. Was on premise about 30-45 minutes. Job was handled professionally and correctly. Have used this company several times, and will continue to do so.

Description of Work: my garage door refused to open electronically and it was too heavy for me to lift manually. i contacted cox door company because i had used them previously both because i was satisfied with their work, and because of their angie's list "A" rating. my call was answered by martha who was not only courteous and professional, but more than willing to get me help that day. she explained the service fees and replacement door opener cost options in detail. senior technician scott and repairer brian were at my door within two hours ! they did not immediately tell me that a new unit was needed. they opened the old unit, tested fault possibilities and determined that a new "mother board" ( at half the prce of a new unit ) was the repair needed. additionally, although small things by themselves, scott replaced the motor's burnt-out light bulb from his stock although i was on my way into the house to get a new bulb. he also checked and corrected a wiring error i made self-installing the other garage door's motor ! scott and brian were courteous, competent and professional, and solved my problem very quickly because they worked so well together as a team.

Description of Work: We called Cox Door and they came out the same day. Our garage door wouldn't open. The gears were stripped probably due to age. Patrick came out and replaced the gears within 20 minutes. He was courteous and knowledgeable.
