Description of Work: Daniel was great to work with. However due to the Angie's deal he was a little booked up. He did accommodate me however and eventually the new granite counter top was installed in about six weeks time from Angie's deal purchase to completion. Counter tops look great! Highly recommend and would work again with Daniel. He always answered my phone calls and text messages.

Once contacted, Daniel remained in contact through the entire process, providing updates. This special left him with a great deal of customers, and with that we worked on times that fit both our needs. He made appointments with us for quotes, measurements, and even to visit the wholesaler to pick out the granite. His crew came and quickly did the demo and install. His crew were great, they took great care to protect my carpets and floor and cleaned up afterwards. One perk was the install required pulling out the fridge so I was finally able to to get it vacuumed behind it. The job cost more than the coupon...the coupon was for $1499 and the final total was $2849, but that was due to us choosing upgraded granite, and had more square footage than the deal allowed. Despite the increase, Daniel kept me aware of the changes early on. Daniel worked with us to choose the right color, shape, etc.. Overall a great experience, and a great job.

Purchased Big Deal for granite countertop. Received call from Daniel Pantis next day and set up appointment to come out. From beginning to end of job Mr. Pantis gave us good information (first time granite purchase for us) and understood our concept for a more useable counter and bar area for extra seating space. Our existing counter had a raised bar area that was really too narrow for setting a plate on. Mr. Pantis designed a radius cantilever granite top that expanded our work area and made a very comfortable, useable seating area all one level. We are so pleased with the transformation. We had a wide range of granite to choose from. Mr. Pantis met us at the warehouse and was very involved and helpful while assuring us that he was committed to making our wishes his priority and the end product to exceed our expectations. Mr. Pantis and Manuel took measurements and made a template of the extended countertop we wanted. We were able to reuse our existing sink undermounted. Mr. Pantis was very helpful to understand our budget and look for ways to save without cutting quality. On installation day Mr. Pantis arrived with his 2 man crew and had the granite and the sink installed, the faucet hole drilled and the granite sealed within 3 hours. The bar area is one piece and the corner section 2 pieces but looks like one piece. I keep walking through my kitchen and can't believe the difference. It looks so updated and gorgeous. Definitely money well spent and glad we were lucky enough to have Mr. Pantis do the work. He will also be looking for a granite top for our kitchen island which we didn't initially plan to do and the backsplash.

The beginning and the end were smooth and easy but we had a couple of bumps in the road in the middle. I'll explain... When I first called Daniel he was extremely responsive and thorough. He took the time to meet with me, talk with me, and to truly understand what I was looking for, what my concerns were and so on. He took me to pick out the tile and gave me tips on where to look at hardware etc. I was thrilled. The bumps in the road where just a couple of things. For example, the cabinets took a while to be shipped. When they were shipped, they were the wrong color. UGH. Frustrating. There were also a couple of times when Daniel and I simply mis-communicated. For example, one day I was expected him on a Tuesday but he thought we said Wednesday. Simple mistakes but frustrating. However....all that being said, once the work began, it was FAST. Daniel's people were very fast, considerate, and delivered excellent quality. They honestly went above and beyond my expectations in terms of how quickly they were able to remove the old and replace it with the new. Also, they were VERY careful about cleaning up any mess that was made. My neighbors commented that they were outside sweeping the sidewalk where they had been sawing. The finished product....O.M.G. So much better than I would ever have envisioned it to be! To say that I am pleased is the understatement of the year. The details are incredible. I have an eye for detail and I would notice if anything were off in any way. I also have to give Daniel credit for his help in picking out the granite slab. I definitely made the choice myself but he helped me using his experience of what works and what doesn't. It is simply beautiful and it's remarkable how well it fits in with my already-existing backsplash. I really can't express how pleased I am with the outcome of this project. Lastly, I feel it would be remiss if I didn't mention how polite and easy to work with Daniel is. The process seemed to take longer than it needed to but the overall outcome is well worth the wait. I would do it again.
Description of Work: Replaced a corner cabinet with a cabinet much accessible. Also, replaced kitchen coutnertops with granite, including new sink, hardware, etc.

We love our new bathroom. The quality put into it is A+++. Overall the project took much longer than expected, partly because the fourth of July holiday. Work was supposed to be completed by the week of July 4th but wasn't and the contactor had a planned vacation. He was working us into his schedule so I did not expect to see him every day, but felt like he could have been more upfront about the fact that stuff would take longer than he initially said. Also, when the contractor said they would be at our house by a certain time they were typically an hour later. I would have been nice if they would have arrived on time in the mornings so that they did not have to stay so late in the evenings. When they were at the house, they kept the house clean, left all their materials in the house in the bathroom they were working in. They did not have a problem with me stoping in to see what they were doing at any time. Overall, I would use him again because of the quality, it is excellent. But I would ensure that I planned on the project taking longer than expected.
Description of Work: Demo'd bathroom floor, cabinets, and toliet. Bathtub area had been previously demo'd to studs due to mold. They build back up the bathtub area as a shower, taking all the necessary steps to ensure shower is waterproof. Assisted in picking out porcelin tile, granite, and paint color. Installed porcelin tile on bathroom floor and in shower. Installed cabinets (we provided) fixtures, tolit, grab bar in shower and shower seat (we provided). Installed all new fixtures and new tolit in hall bathroom also. All of the work was A+++.

We contracted with Daniel Pantis of Lake Norman Tile to renovate a Master Bath and Hall Bathroom. We signed a Contract with him in May, 2013 and work began in mid July, 2013. It was well worth the wait. Daniel takes great pride in his work and everything is done and completed to perfection. He listened carefully to our ideas and took us to his source for selecting tile and was actively involved in our selection process and kept our budget at the forefront of all selections. Both bathrooms were completely gutted and everything replaced. Problems that were uncovered in the process such as leaks, mildew, insulation replacement and rot were pointed out to us, discussed and taken care of. Any workers that were brought in such as plumbers and tile workers were always supervised by Daniel. All of the finish work was completed by Daniel. Our patience has paid off and both bathrooms are just what we wanted and are both functional as well as beautiful. Daniel has a strong work ethic and we consider him a true European artisan. This combination is rare to find. As long time homeowners, we have hired many people to do a variety of work for our home. No one has ever taken as much time or pride in their work as Daniel.

I would highly recommend Daniel. He was very responsive anytime we needed to get in touch with him. He gave us a lot of ideas and set aside a lot of time with us at the beginning of the project when we were trying to figure out what design we wanted to go with. He did a large portion of the work himself. He was very trustworthy and skilled. The project ended up being bigger than initially expected because of some damage to the subfloor and tub frame from previous water leaks. Our bathroom was completely overhauled and we loved the results. The project timeline did exceed his initial estimate by a few weeks. But overall this was a good experience, affordable and would recommend his work and hire him again in the future.

The repair looked great but came out after a few weeks. I decided not to go ahead with the drilling unless the chip gets bigger. Daniel was focused on my satisfaction throughout the process. I would use Daniel in the future for other work.

The project took longer than expected but we were not in a hurry and wanted the job done right. Daniel did all the skill work himself and it's obvious he has been doing this for sometime and takes great pride in his work. He also provided much needed help in selecting materials and providing suggestions and recommendations. We found his pricing to be very competitive.
Description of Work: Daniel Pantis remodeled our master bathroom. He replaced the vanity and installed granite countertop. A tile floor was installed and the commode was relocated. He then installed a big new walk-in shower. The tile work is beautiful as well as the entire new master bathroom. He also built a small wall near the commode and installed new a new fan. Some ductwork had to be relocated as well and the entire project came out better than expected.

Daniel was great to work with. He provided design ideas and suggestions and helped us get the most impact from our budget. He worked with us on selecting tile, cabinets, granite etc and although the color choices and style is our own, we often asked advice from Daniel because of his experience and expertise. I always felt we got good honest advice - never a sales pitch to spend more. After we made the decision to work with lake Norman Tile and Renovations we had to wait for a long time for the work to start (5 months approx).. This is because the company has a pipeline of work that they had to complete before getting to our project. Daniel made sure we new about this up front and kept in touch with us during that time - but I did worry as time passed that we would have waited all this time and there would be a last minute surprise in cost or scope. I needn't have worried, the work was done as planned and there were no surprise additions to the estimate. Daniel's crew turned up on time each day and did a good job of keeping the house clean throughout the teardown and rebuild, and when the remodel was finished they cleaned up and left everything as it should be. Daniel also came back and met with us to make sure everything was completed properly. This was a great experience and I'd definitely use them again on the next remodel.
Description of Work: Complete makeover of our ensuite bathroom. Removal of old bath and shower, toilet, vanities floor tile etc. Everything stripped back to the boards and new tile, vanities, granite countertops, shower stall, bath, toilet ... everything including painting the walls and installing new light fixtures, fans and mirrors.

Since this was our first renovation, we needed advice every step of the way - from picking out tile, to deciding on granite and paint colors. Daniel was very patient in helping us with all necessary decisions. He even met us several times at tile shops and home goods retailers to guide us in the right direction. Daniel did the work himself, along with one assistant, of whom he had high expectations, even requiring re-work to get it right. Unexpected issues that came up during the job, such as pipes that had to be moved, were immediately shown to us with detailed explanations as to the work involved to fix them. During this process, Daniel always had pointers on how we could save money, for example: on where to buy mirrors and granite. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, especially the beautiful tile work. We feel that both bathrooms are much more luxurious, especially the master bath, and we enjoy them every day. Daniel was good about calling us if he was delayed, for example, to pick up supplies prior to his arrival that day. He was very professional, polite, and good about cleaning up after each step and once the job was completed. We would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: We learned about this company through an Angie's List "Big Deal" for 1 bathroom renovation. After meeting with the business owner, Daniel Pantis, we received estimates for renovating one bathroom, versus renovating both bathrooms during the same job. We decided to have both bathrooms remodeled during the same period, to save on costs, and to avoid a second household disruption. The bathrooms were 17 years old and out of date, and were basically gutted to make room for all new showers, cabinets, sinks, etc. The popcorn ceilings were even scraped and painted, with crown molding added. We had the second bathroom done first, with the master bathroom done last, so we always had complete access to one of the two.

We had to wait for Daniel to become free after agreeing on the project scope and cost, because he was committed to other projects. We actually signed a contract in June and he was not able to start until the first week in September. I believe our wait was justified as we are convinced we got the right person for the job. Daniel was very helpful with suggestions that were not pushy, but were truly appreciated. While we did not take every suggestion, it was helpful to have his perspective from having done so many of these jobs. He, his employees and sub-contractors were very good about caring for our property as they did their jobs. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and for the most part they were punctual. Our job was to have taken 3 weeks, but it was actually 4 weeks from start to finish. This was not Daniel's fault, but rather some small unexpected delays waiting on some materials. We were responsible for supplying some of the materials. From my perspective they went above and beyond the contract in doing their work. We are very satisfied with the quality of materials for which he was responsible and the quality of the work done. We are happy with the results and think that Daniel did a great job. We would certainly recommend Daniel and his company to anyone considering this type of job and we would use him again if the need arises. As with any job of this size. I would suggest a written contract that spells out everyone's responsibilities, including the homeowner's.
Description of Work: Daniel did an extensive update to our master bath and a more minor update to our second bath. He removed the master shower completely, removed the fixtures for both vanities and the whirlpool tub. He also removed the counter tops and mirrors for the 2 vanities in the master bath and the double vanity in the second bath. The master bath shower was completely rebuilt using tile and stone as a frameless glass shower. He also tiled around the whirlpool tub. Counter tops in both baths, three total, were replaced with granite tops and new mirrors were installed. Light fixtures for both vanities in the master bath were replaced with updated new ones and all door handles and hinges were changed out for new ones. He moved electric outlets, repaired walls and repainted both baths.

The final bathrooms are beautiful and look exceptional. The bathrooms involved installing new tile showers, applying appropriate drywall, installing tile flooring, placing new cabinetry and granite tops, installing new plumbing and fixtures, framing an exposed area, and adding support below to jack up a sagging floor area. The tile work is beautiful as it involves the shower floor, shower walls, and even the ceiling above the shower with a nice archway entrance and glass doors. Daniel paid attention to detail and did not cut corners. He listened to our questions / concerns along the way and addressed them to our satisfaction. He also kept the work environment clean during the project, a true professional. After having been shortchanged by other "professionals" on other projects on the same house, we feel very lucky to have found Daniel for this sizable renovation. Because of his excellent workmanship, we are now having him renovate another area of our house.
Description of Work: Daniel renovated 2 bathrooms for us in a secondary home. This involved gutting old 70's style bathrooms, with no salvageable parts and replacing them with a modern and up to date bathroom product. All components had to be addressed, including electrical, plumbing, tile, flooring, some framing, painting, and fixtures.

Daniel was very helpful in making suggestions and also actually picking out fixtures, tiles, commode, mirror, etc and I was very please with everything he selected.I ended up with a very beautiful bathroom and I am very pleased with outcome which I felt was Daniel's main goal. I've used them three times; one was to create a custom backsplash in the kitchen and on that they did an absolutely fabulous job. They tiled a floor of our rocking chair, front porch and again they did a totally fabulous and impeccable job. The kitchen backsplash was done in 2008. The people that worked with me from the beginning for making selections and things were very good. It's an amazing firm. Their price wasn't cheap but it seemed really fair. I would recommend them to anybody.

Overall smooth from the beginning to the end!
Description of Work: Lake NormanTile has completed two projects for us. The most recent was a redesign of our master bath. Daniel is very gifted in his design work.. He listened to us and come up with a good design that made both my husband and myself happy. He was patient with us as we never seemed to be in the house at the same time and would change our mind often. Daniel was able to move an existing hot tub back and expand our shower stall. He had many great ideas that made the bathroom design perfect. He has the experience to guide you to the most economical and aesthetically pleasing job. Our bath went from your typical 80's white bathroom to something you might find at the Westin Hotel! We are pleased with the outcome and can't wait to start our next project with Lake Norman Tile! All in all Daniel demo'd the whole bathroom. He installed new French doors to our closets. He installed new tile on the floor that looks like rustic black wood floors. He installed tile to the shower and walls that reminds you of natural stone. He redesigned our shower to give us more room while adding a pebble floor. He gave us nooks in the shower that were designed with our needs in place. Including the right height for the youngest of our children. He installed sink cabinets that I had already picked out and purchased. Then when we learned that one of the sinks was installed backwards in the cabinet he took the time and fixed it himself. He was kind to our animals and our family. Even dealing with all of our parents questions when he showed up to work on the day of a family luncheon.

They put in a walk in shower with floor to ceiling tile and a polished tile floor. They even managed to arrange a very nice floor pattern with accent tiles on a very small floor !. The tile shower has a beautiful frameless glass door, something no other contractor offered. They were very helpful with advice on everything from vanity choice to paint color, all with a professional result. The job was low stress for me, and contractor kept in touch with email and text messages and very prompt service. I love my new bathroom.

Our twenty five year old condo master bath was dated and unattractive. LKN Tile gutted the bath to the studs removing a jetted tube in the process. They were always conscious of holding down dust and proper disposal of trash. We had several meetings before the work began to plan the project so that there would not be any surprises. Daniel Pantis has an excellent eye for color and design. He provided several alternatives and worked closely with us to put together the color scheme and choice of materials. He always made us aware of material costs to allow us to stay within budget. He started on-time but due to slow delivery of materials didn't finish on-time. The tub was replaced with a beautiful walk-in shower. Plumbing for the toilet and sink were moved to provide better access. We had no cost surprises and were extremely pleased with the results. After seeing our results several neighbors have had similar work done by Lake Norman Tile. I have since had a second bath remodeled by Lake Norman Tile and am currently having a third bath remodeled.

The quality of work is very good and his prices are very competitive. He is responsive, but lacking slightly in professionalism. He did a very good job on my bathroom, but did not finish the task where the bathroom tiles end and the bedroom carpet begins. They have to be aligned in a professional manner but that was left unfinished. I had to call another handyman to finish the job. He is good at tile work and I will use his services for such work if required in the future.
Description of Work: We have used the services of Daniel Pantis of Lake Norman Tile. He does tiles, marble stone and granites. He replaced the tiles in both my bedrooms and the backsplash in my kitchen He has done my bathroom with special tiles, and the kitchen of my daughter.
