The first thing I will say is that cheaper is not always better. These guys were not very expensive so I decided to go with them. After speaking with them, I trusted them to come do the work for me. The installers were great and fixed everything that needed to, it just was not a very good experience with the owner. I originally had to call them after the first installation to fix a couple seams and what not. For one, he tried to charge me for all the carpet that I had purchased while he was installing it. It turned out I bought about 20 yards too much and he tried to charge me for all of it thinking that I wouldn't notice. Another thing is after he measured the carpet, it took about 3 months before they came to install it. He told me I needed a new bolt padding which would cost me an additional $400. I found out later that I only needed about $115 worth. After 3 months of waiting they got here and it turned out they had measured it wrong. When he realized it had been sewn wrong, he just cut it with a knife and ended up having to take it back to re-measure it. The guy at Carpet Discount said that our carpet had been sitting there the entire 3 months. Also, when they brought it back, it had some yellow trim on it that did not match the carpet at all. There was a stain that I asked where it came from and he said that he didn't know even though it had been in his possession the whole time. What it comes down to is he owed the installer money, he didn't pay me for damaged carpet, he kept it for 3 months, and he did not do a good job on it. Now he is just avoiding everything. I tried hiring a private detective to get to the bottom of this. I do not recommend using him.
