 + 1 moreIt was late in the afternoon when North Meck plumbing got to me ( this was NOT an emergency situation). They spent the first hour tracing the drain piping; where it went under the house and where it emerged outside the foundation. The problem was very heavy root infiltration downstream from the foundation, so the recommendation was to cut the line after it emerged from under the house, and lay in a new connection to the main gray water drain line. Since they needed a few parts, they called it a day and showed up at 8 am the next day to finish the job. They finished the job in just about an hour, cleaned up the site of their work and were on their way. Not a complicated job, but not a do-it-yourself job either. I was very happy both with the customer service and the excellent plumbing work done on site. Although $120 for the first hour may seem a bit high, you have to remember that this charge is for a TWO man crew. It is definitely more cost and time efficient than a one person plumber working by himself. I would not hesitate to call upon North Mecklenburg Plumbing for any future plumbing work.

 + -1 moreThey arrived 30 minutes prior to appointment which was great, Robbie and apprentise complted work and made sure everything was spotless when complete and all functioning properly. They noticed my water pressure relief valve was not functing as needed and since they installed it 14 months prior, they quickly replaced it at no additional charge. Here is a company that stands behind their work. Friendly, professionals doing great work.

 + -1 moreWe had a overnight water leak in our half bath and needed it fixed quickly to prevent water damage to our floor. The office personnel was very helpfull and they responded within about an hour to our call to schedule a time for them to come and do the repairs that day. Which we really appreciated. They were able to come that afternoon and the repairs took less than an hour. The guys were very friendly and professional.
Description of Work: We had a toilet leak and they installed toilet stop and valve and also installed "o" ring on kitchen faucet. Very friendly and professional.

 + -1 moreWe were in a position where work needed to be assessed and completed quickly due to a pending sale. Northmeck Plumbing was responsive, timely and accommodating to our needs. Seem very trustworthy and did great work at a reasonable price. The kind of team that wants to do the job well, help you out and not out to make a buck -- professional and nice people. Referred us to an electrician that they know and trust to fix the whirlpool tub -- there was no plumbing issue. I would highly recommend them for any and all plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Reset 3 toilets replacing wax seals, bolts and supplies. Made an assessment of a whirlpool tub that was not functioning.

Description of Work: We had a leaking faucet at our rental unit and NMPC responded promptly to make the repair. They actually replaced the faucet with one we had purchased. Their technician was very professional and the folks in the office were very courteous and professional as well. They handled this situation with ease. They were a pleasure to work with.  + -1 moreCalled this morning, it's now 2:30 and the job is done. I'm very happy! I had a friend install a replacement garbage disposal a few years ago. He didn't change any of the existing lines. It has been leaking slowly for the past 6 months and I've been fixing it myself with a tube of silicone. This weekend, it started really leaking and it was decided that it was time to call in a real plumber. Everyone I dealt with was so nice! Chris removed the disposal and redid the pipes to make sense for this one. Cleaned up and it's beautiful. I'd recommend this group wholeheartedly!

 + -1 moreI could hear dripping water landing on a closet ceiling in my basement, called North Meck Plumbing based on their Angie's list A rating. They sent a crew out 2 hours later. Their technicians were very professional and explained in detail how they would searce for the source of the leak. I told them the leak got worse when we were using hot water, but there wasn't any apparent leak around the water heater. It took only about 15 minutes for them to locate the leak in a hot water pipe running between the first floor and the basement. They were able to repair the leak with a minimum of dry wall removal. The total repair took 1 hour and 15 minutes. They cleaned up the area completely and I will certainly use them again if needed.

 + -1 moreWe had two tiolets with water leaking at the bases. We first used a referral plumber from a friend and the fixed tiolet started to leak again. My husband was tired of hiring friends then having to re-do their work so we joined Angie's List on 10/10/11. I called North Mecklenburg Plumping on 10/11 explaining the tiolet issues to Vicki and she said she would see what was needed and call back within one hour. Vicki called back early and scheduled a service for that day between 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Service men arrived at 12:45. I explained the problems. They listened, then went to work and quickly determined the problems and fixed both. By 2:00 they had fixed both, explained the problems, how they fixed them, cleaned up and left. Their work was tidy. Everything cleaned up. I realize the work was just done and maybe you should check back with me in two weeks, but right now, I'm thrilled. I would definately call North Mecklenburg Plumbing again.

 + 1 moreAfter reading Angie's List reports I called yesterday and spoke with Doug, he called back with quote and said water heater could be done this AM, (old water heater not leaking, I just wanted it replaced so I did not need to worry about it going out some weekend). I also mentioned other repairs that another plumber could not fix after 3 attempts. Crew of 2 arrived at scheduled time and asked to be shown additional work and looked at spot in garage for water heater. As a realtor I have been looking for a reliable plumber that I could refer to clients, I now have that plumber. They do good work, friendly staff & fair pricing. They confirmed their excellent Angie's List rating!

 + -1 moreWent pretty good. Unfortunately the faucet I purchased (from Lowes) broke in about a week and they had to come back again to install a new faucet. Not their fault. Mine. They were back in two days and this time they bought the faucet from a plumbing supply company. They had to charge another hourly fee, but again, not their fault, mine. This time though there was a gurantee on the faucet too. I was happy they were able to come back so soon. Will definitely use them again. Lesson learned though. No more purchases like that from Lowes.

The reason I hired them is because they were the most knowledgable and I could tell they would be nice to work with. This is the best contractor I've hired in a long time. We will need more plumbing work in our other bathrooms in the future and will absolutely use NMP.
Description of Work: MNP was recommended to me by a plumbing supply house and they had great reviews on angieslist. We are renovating our master bathroom. Robbie came out before we demoed the old bathroom to look at the project and quote it. He gave me tips on how to remove the jacuzzi and cap the water lines myself to save money and his advice was perfect. I also talked to Hal a number of times regarding the project also and he was always awesome. He was very sensitive to my budget concerns and was happy to give me tips to save money and was open to allowing me to purchase my own fixtures for the project so I could save money. We needed some guidance on the shower design because we are installing a steam shower and body jets. Robbie was available to advise us on everything and he gave us very good advice. Another piece of advice he gave us was that we shouldn't put the drain right in the middle of the shower so we wouldn't have to stand on it, excellent advice because I never would have thought of it, even though it seems simple. Chris and Kenny came out to do the plumbing work. They were so polite, skilled and professional. They were sensitive to not letting my cats run out the door when they had to go in and out and they always wiped their feet. While they were here, they saw a couple other items in our plumbing that needed to be addressed and were able to address them for us. I also had to talk to the office a couple times and their office staff is excellent.
