LOWE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT

Their salesmanship was good. We would certainly consider using them in the future if we needed new appliances. I went into the appliance department and talked to them and they made recommendations that we followed.

They were very helpful. The one that we were looking for were not in the store so they researched and found the closest Lowe's and they shipped it to their store. We had it delivered, and they came out and installed it.

I should have stock in the company as I am there all the time. I like the fact that they keep a record of everything you have bought from them. They are not picky about returns. The service people are extremely friendly and helpful.

Lowe's has it's own suppliers. We went to see them in October or November, and they said the work couldn't be done before Christmas. The cabinets were good. They had several companies that came out that were good. I was expecting Lowe's to do the project management like order, contacting their vendors, and get them in here in time and on schedule, but I had to contact the vendors and arrange them to come in, and had to work directly with the vendors. I would have saved myself some money if I would have done it myself, as I ended up doing it myself. The people who did the tile work put the tile up alright, they cut the tile by hand instead of using a tile cutter, and that left some of the edges a little jagged on the wall. When they caulked the edges, they smeared it all over the wall and I have an inch where it should only be an eighth of an inch. I used to do this myself, but I can't do it anymore. I don't think they were the cheapest store. You get what you pay for, and the people at the store themselves were good. They helped me design an order, at the end they sort of like went away. They are supposed to have a coordinator, but we couldn't get her by phone. I could have done it myself by contacting the company. They had one company, for the tile, another for the cabinet, another to put the tile in. The individual workers were here when they said they would be. The vendors were professional and knew their business. The tile people brought them down. I would probably not use them again.

Lowe's ordered the wrong carpet and the wrong carpet padding twice! The minimum wage employees there have no right selling flooring to the general public! They have NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. RUN DON'T WALK to the closest non-Lowe's flooring provider! My carpet install was delayed by a month. They are unorganized, rude, and unresponsive! They also have some new computer system that no one is trained on - which just makes matters worse!

If you have a problem tell them and they will make it right and I would use this provider again in the future.

I worked with Andrea Hill at the Lowes in Huntersville to choose the flooring, the pricing, payment, and all of the details of the installation. She was great, answered all of my questions, and called me several times along the way. They accommodated my desired installation dates, which was about a month out from my order. I was impressed with the Lowes subcontractors. They use Service Pro who subs out to an expert installer. The person who did the installation had 30 years experience. He and his team were very knowledgeable about every aspect of the installation. My glued down old wood floor was more difficult to be removed than anticipated, but they persevered with patience and skill. They kept on until the job was completed with no issues. They also leveled the slab where needed prior to putting down the floor. They laid the proper moisture barrier, the flooring, which has a built on 10mm pad, and finished off with the moldings and thresholds. They made minimal mess as this was somewhat dusty due to the old floor removal. Also, I had very little chipping on my baseboard. I had prepped quite a bit removing most furniture and covering pictures and cabinets in plastic, but they were prepared to do the same if needed. My floor looks great. Lowes called several times to ensure I was happy during and after installation. I also have 1 year warranty on the flooring and installation. Thanks for the excellent job.

I'm in the military so I get a 10% discount on all materials. They were running specials on the windows and siding and so I thought, Okay, I'll have the guy come out and just kind of get it siding. He said, if you are doing anything else, you might want to have it done before they put the siding in, so we went ahead and ordered the windows. He said if you are going to replace everything else you might as well get bigger gutters. So, we bought it all. First of all, he said, once you agree to this you have to pay for it immediately. All of it, every cent. Usually, when you deal with a contractor you only have to pay a percentage upfront but with Lowe's you have to pay it all if you hire their install service, or whatever you call it. So, we had to pay all of it upfront. And then, we ended up getting 2 Lowe's credit cards to cover it and put it on that. It was in October when we bought but they didn't install until January so we had essentially 2 almost 3 months that we were paying for something, all of something that we didn't have. That's the first complaint. The next thing was, when they did come out, we dealt with a salesperson. We never saw a salesperson again after that. We never got a detailed contract stating specifically what they are going to do. I had to continue to pester them to at least get receipts of everything that i bought on the credit cards and they scratched notes next to it so we would have some idea what those things were because receipts can be pretty cryptic. We finally got some of that information. Nobody really called us between the time we bought and the time it was installed. We never did get a detailed contract of everything they are going to do. So you have the salesperson, then you have the store install team support and then you have corporate Lowe's has an install support group that tries to keep up with the project, then there is a job broker that works at the, essentially finds contractors to do the work and then we had the contractor. We had those 5 different layers and none of them know what the others are doing. So, if the installer doesn't come out, nobody really knows. You might or might not get a call. You might not get a call back if you try and call somebody. Without a detailed contract, you don't know what they are going to do or what they're not going to do. Fortunately, the contractor that is doing the work, not very punctual or timely and not around on every good day they can work. They say they have other Lowe's install jobs to do but he has at least been willing to suggest some ideas for changes. Some of those changes have been good and some of them haven't been good. It's the little double-edged sword there. The weather hasn't been the greatest at times but we are at what was supposed to be a 5 day job, we're just wrapping up week 3 and they still have probably 30 percent to do. The other thing is they don't clean up as they go. We have piles of, they tore off the old siding and put on the new. They just left it in piles in the yard and in our driveway. They took some away but for the most part everything that's here has been here since they tore it down. All the garbage from the boxes from the siding and windows and stuff.

They subcontracted both electrical (changed electrical) and plumbing (new hot water tank) work. I was able to get better pricing with a bundled product/install package.

Overall, it was a really good experience. They were very professional. They were very receptive to calls and responded very well. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and we didn't have any problems with them. Their price was competitive. They gave us a good deal and extended period of no interest.

It was very easy to pick up and drop off. This was very inexpensive price and machine operated properly.

These guys are knowledgeable and friendly. They helped me determine what would and would not work with my existing plumbing. They made phone calls to check options and lead times on vanities.

We chose Lowe's for carpet installation because of the backing of a large company for quality of the product and installation. Actually, besides taking the order, Lowe's was not involved. Instead, we were told to work with Watson's directly for questions about scheduling. During the installation, the installers damaged two pieces of Henkel-Harris mahogany furniture. We called Lowe's, they told us to work with Watson's. When the damage occurred, the lead installer wanted us to get the furniture fixed and let him pay us directly without involving either Watson's or Lowe's. We declined, but it was not a good experience.

They were punctual, did the work quickly, and we are happy with the end result.

The microwave was fine, but the installation was terrible. The microwave was not installed according to instructions enclosed with the microwave from GE. The installers had to remove it from the wall 2 times because I showed them where it was not done correctly. It still was not done correctly, and I had to complete the job myself. I hope it stays fastened. I would not have this installer (Jenkins) in my house again. Also, I would now be reluctant to ever have Lowes installers. Lowes did the follow up and was very responsive, but evidently, they do not have control over their installer quality.

Went to place special order for custom vanity and solid surface countertop. Was told they didn't carry brand contractor recommended but later found they did. Countertop ordered at same time as vanity but was too short. Had to return countertop and reorder which held up project by another 3 weeks. When this one came in it didn't have the backsplash. Called manager, he admitted it was his fault, clicked it off when submitting order. By this time we had been without a bathroom for over 6 weeks. I could have returned everything again but would've been without a bathroom for another month so we decided to make it work. Had to improvise a backsplash; sinks leaked so had to be resealed. Vanity is cheaply made with drawer fronts loose and one damaged drawer. Lowe's offered a refund of only $281. out of $2,500. Placed call to customer service but after 2 weeks haven't received the promised 24 return call. Have placed a 3rd call. Very dissatisfied with special order dept and cust. serv.

THE PLUMBER WAS ON TIME,EFFICIENT, AND CLEANED UP AFTER HE FINISHED. WE COMPARED PRICES TO HOME DEPOT, AND LOWES WAS ALMOST $200 LESS.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB.

THEY MADE SOME MISTAKES, BUT WE WERE MAINLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE FINISHED PRODUCT AND WE'RE PLEASED.

THE PEOPLE AT LOWE'S WERE VERY NICE AND ACCOMMODATING. THEY WERE VERY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THEIR JOB AND FOLLOWED UP WITH US. THE COUNTER INSTALLATION HAD A FEW PROBLEMS, BUT I DO LIKE THE COUNTERTOP. THE INSTALLER DIDN'T TAKE THE MOLDING OFF AND HAND CUT IT WITH A CHISEL. HE PUT CAULK IN TO FIX IT BUT IT IS DONE IN A SLOPPY WAY. WE DIDN'T SEE THE PROBLEM UNTIL AFTER IT WAS DONE.

THE PEOPLE AT LOWE'S WERE VERY NICE AND ACCOMMODATING. THEY WERE VERY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THEIR JOB AND FOLLOWED UP WITH US. THE FLOORING PROJECT EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE ARE VERY PLEASED.
