Used their online form to ask for a quote for a deck repair or possible replacement. Received a quick response asking for pictures, which I supplied. Received a 1-line email with a quote for "repair and restoration". They did not visit the house or contact me via supplied phone number. I emailed asking them to elaborate on what was meant by restoration, wondering what they would do beyond the repair of the deck. I received a very snarky email that they did not provide free advice and would only do work under a contract. When I replied that I was simply looking for a written estimate of work to be performed, I was accused of price shopping and told if I had used them in the first place I wouldn't have issues now. Extremely unprofessional communication and suspicious business practices.

Essentially, this was a very unusual request for an estimate to correct the work done by another contractor. The person did not have a contract with our company and was not the owner of the property. Moreover, the person was also not authorized to get a free estimate or act on behalf of the property owner. Also, we do provide free estimates, but we do not get involved in another party's possible legal issues with other contractors.
