Corey's team has a great eye for detail and the results were fantastic. I got CCR's name from a large pool builder in the area who told me "they are the best in the business". And they were right.

+ -1 moreTravertine goes in like a paver, but its cut stone. Clean joint lines, he put a concrete curb around the perimeter, He did a polymeric sand instead of a just a regular sand. It's more expensive but it stiffens and give you a beautiful, clean finished look. Plus instead of doing 3 inches of a base aggregate, he did 6 inches of stone. The finished product means I don't have pavers moving and settling. I have neighbors that have paver decks and within months you can see those pavers moving because they are settling and they have sand. I didn't want that, so I found a guy who puts gravel underneath them. It's a little more expensive but once it's done, they will last virtually forever.
Description of Work: He did about 1200 sq. feet of travertine coping for my deck.

+ -1 moreCorey with CCR came highly recommended by our next door neighbors and I understand why. He was here within two days of my call to meet with me, measure the yard and provide an estimate. His follow up and promptness were excellent. Within a few days of my accepting the estimate, he had surveyors here, and utility services to mark underground lines. A few days after that, he and his team showed up with the fencing and got it all installed in two days. The fence is perfect...the team made sure to measure well and get it all aligned so that it looks great. On day two, we decided to add a third gate...Corey said 'no problem' and had the additional gate here and installed within hours. We have a large yard and we made a change during installation and still, they had it completed and ready for my dogs in two days. The CCR team was fantastic...very nice, professional and helpful (one of the workers, Zack, even helped me when my dog ran next door - now with the fence that won't happen again). The was, end to end, a great experience. I am thrilled with the way the new fence looks and how wonderful a job CCR did. I highly recommend.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I worked with CCR as part of our pool project and we could not have picked a better group to help us bring our project to life. Cory and his team are 100% dedicated to quality and all workers were on time, were extremely courteous, worked very hard when on site, were precise in their work and didn't leave trash at the end of the day (Cory will fine them if they leave a mess). I am a very detail-oriented person, so I was always very happy to see the masons using their levels to be sure that everything was as perfect as stone and tile can be. The end result is EXACTLY what I hoped it would be and there is nothing that I would change (that never happens!!) I cannot say enough good things about CCR. They set the bar higher than any service provider that I've worked with in the last 20 years. Yes, they are that good. If a tile or stone project is in your future, be sure that you include CCR in your research. Your project will be better for it. Thank you Cory and everyone at CCR. Joe M

+ -1 moreCCR Backyard Designs was a breath of fresh air after dealing with an inept pool construction company. Corey, the owner, was extremely organized and conscientious. His product knowledge, design recommendations, professionalism, communication and follow-up were beyond our expectations. He cared deeply about ensuring that the job met all of our requirements. He made sure that his on-site crew followed his design plan. They, too, were always on time and worked tirelessly each day to keep the project on schedule. We have never seen anyone in the and quot;constructionand quot; business attend to detail like CCR Backyard Designs. For example, we were pleasantly surprised each evening to find the work area tidy and ready for the next day. If you want a job done right, this is definitely the company to choose! CCR Fence, a separate company also owned by Corey, installed the fence in our back yard after our landscaping was completed. Again, an excellent experience!
Description of Work: CCR Backyard Designs installed travertine decking and stairs around our newly completed gunite pool. They also constructed a flagstone wall that wraps around half of the pool area.

I already had complete confidence in them after they did an amazing job installing a fence 2 months prior, so knowing the exceptional quality of their work helped keep me stress free during the process! Corey was great with keeping me updated on the schedule, so I was never left guessing what the next step was or when things would happen. Every employee who worked on my patio was very hard working and friendly, given the labor intensive work, I was actually surprised they didn't take more than a lunch break! I couldn't be more thrilled with the finished product, once again CCR Backyard Design exceeded my expectations and created an area more perfect than I could've imagined!
Description of Work: After being exceptionally happy with a large fencing project CCR Fence did for me, it was a given that I'd stick with Corey Rowley (Co-owner of CCR Fence & Backyard Design) when it came time to design and install a patio and fire pit around my new pool. Corey knew this project was a dream come true for me and he and Leah (Co-owner with Corey) went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I wanted (and even suggested simple things I hadn't thought of)! Once again, Corey spent a lot of his time with me going over my wish list, making sure I knew the options in materials available for my patio, and discussing layout options. Prior to the install, he came out and clearly marked the area where the patio would be installed and we worked together to tweak the final design. Having the visual markings was such a help to me, it eliminated the stress of not knowing exactly the area being worked on. Corey's employees worked non-stop from morning to night, were very polite, and were beyond patient when any of my 3 dogs tried to 'assist' them with their work! Throughout the project, Corey was here constantly and always available by phone if I had a question for him. My patio is Travertine and the fire pit, 2 wooden column bases, and 3 sets of new steps are dry stacked stone. Watching the crew work piece by piece to create such a gorgeous patio area was amazing, I've never seen workmanship like it before. In the end, my backyard went from an overgrown area of little to no use, to an incredibly stunning and relaxing oasis. CCR Backyard Design made my dream a reality, I still can't believe this is actually my home!

Super friendly and they provided input into the design which is what I was looking for, knowing only that we wanted a hard surface under our 2nd story deck. Once we decided to go with them they were able to fit us in relatively quick. They came out and finished the job very quickly, very professional. They followed up the day after to make sure I was happy. Very professional, friendly people and I would highly recommend them. We will be using them for any future work that we decide to do.

Description of Work: They built a recessed firepit with bench seating for 10-12, cemented stairs leading down into the backyard, and used pavers to create a patio area. They dug into the landscape quite extensively to situate the firepit into the landscape slope and used a poured cement base. The firepit was then finished off using river rock that we had on hand.

+ -1 moreAbsolutely the most stress-free experience we've ever had. From start to finish, the project was managed with clear communication and punctuality. CCR has specilized teams that perform each step of the project. They show up early, work all day and they work hard. We were impressed with the minute attention to every detail and such accuracy created a job that was done right the first time with zero do-overs. Before the start of the job, Corey brought out samples of all of the types of stone that would be used for us to choose the colors we preferred. Based upon our previous choices of the stamped concrete patio and wood deck, we chose to follow Corey's recommendations. Seeing the finished product, we could not be more pleased! Even though he had other projects going on at the same time as ours, Corey came out or called every day to check on things and to see if we had any questions. The same day the last crew finished up, Corey came out and removed all of the remaining stone and sand from our driveway. And, he's coming back to power wash our driveway! To sum up, CCR Backyard Designs - Corey, Jason and Leah - are all extremely professional and knowledgeable and have the highest regard for customer satisfaction. We are so happy that we found them on Angie's List and we are ecstatic about our new patio. Now we will enjoy using our backyard everyday!
Description of Work: We had a stamped concrete patio and a ground level wood deck one step down from the patio. Our backyard slopes downhill. CCR Backyard Designs (CCR) removed the wood deck and instead of replacing it with the same square footprint, Corey Rowley, the owner of CCR, suggested an oval design which we absolutely love. CCR built an oval shaped stone veneer retaining wall, filled it in completely with gravel and sand and installed travertine stone pavers at the height of the top of the retaining wall. Around the outside edge of the travertine pavers they installed a beautiful stone border that matches the step coming down from the patio. They also installed the same travertine pavers over the existing stamped concrete patio.

The cost was within my budget and they were very flexible with the pricing and how to get the look I wanted at the price I needed to stay under. The workmanship was first rate! I was overwhelmed with so many hardscape landscapers to choose from as well as coupons in the mail! Corey made it easy. He was on time for the estimate and professional in his manner. He answered all of my questions and addressed all concerns. His crew completed this job quicker than expected so there were no delays or “no shows” once the job got started. It is a beautiful patio graded and sloped perfectly. His crew even stacked up some bricks very neatly from a prior patio that had to be moved. I would highly recommend CCR Backyard design for both quality and pricing.
