Paul diagnosed the problem, explained in detail the work that had to be done, and obtained and replaced the part to get my heat working before the temperature went south further. I would not hesitate to use their services again.
Description of Work: my downstairs heating stopped working on one of the last cold days of the year. my kids were recovering from being sick and I needed the heat fixed ASAP. I have always used their service since I moved to Charlotte and they were at my house to address my issue in a timely fashion.

The day before he was to come out, we were reminded via email about the appointment and timeframe Paul would be arriving in. On the day of the appointment, he called to let me know he was on his way but was running just a little late. When he arrived, he did a detailed inspection of the two systems in the house, going over everything he noticed (good and bad, though mostly good) with the HVAC system currently in place. He advised me about things I may be able to handle on my own, proper maintenance of the system, and was very open to answering questions. He was also very amiable. I haven't called around trying to price his quote out to see where he is in relation to his competitors. His price seems in line with what I'd expect repairs to cost using a pro. You get what you pay for more often than not in the repair industry.
Description of Work: We had Paul out to do a thorough HVAC inspection after our home inspection to see if there were any major issues with the system in the house we are buying that were overlooked by someone without the proper knowledge.

Birds had nested in the insulated, flexible tube leading from the outside of the house to the bath fan by gaining entrance through the exterior wall opening, which is 25 ft off the ground. Paul Averette went into the attic and pulled out the existing 20 foot flexible vent tube and replaced the assembly that exits the house through the wall. The new assembly has a screen on the outside of the exterior opening that will keep birds out in the future. The replacement flexible tube he used also had a greater R-value than the one he pulled out, improving the overall insulation of the attic.
Description of Work: Bathroom vent replacement

I have a home that is 14yrs old and my HVAC unit is on it's last leg. Last summer (2011) I got home from work to find the AC was not working. I call Morris Jenkins as I had send their Ads promising same day service. They said they would not be able to get anyone out there for 2-3 days. It was over 90 degrees outside. I Googled local HVAC repair and found Averette comfort systems and they had several positive reviews on Google. It was about 7:30 pm at this point and I called Averette Comfort Systems and spoke with Paul the owner. He said he was at another job but could stop by afterward if it was ok to come that late. He showed up at about 9:00 pm and was able to diagnose and fix the problem in less than hour. I had another problem with the outside unit this summer and again found out when I got home from work. I called Paul up again and he was there in less than hour and fixed the problem. I have had to call Paul three times and each time he came out late on a week night and fixed the problem right away and was very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend him for anyone in the Lake Norman area who need HVAC repair work.
Description of Work: -Replaced transistor on outside fan twice. Second time he discovered the part was faulty and replaced it at no charge. -Cleaned and serviced inside unit -Replaced outside fan motor.
