We found him to be very unreliable. No show on first appt. Late on second appt. Installation was incomplete. Big on talk, short on follow-up. Would not hire Daniel to repair a doghouse. Still waiting for repair since December 26. He has told me three times he would take care of it and has not yet taken care of it. Another time we used him he was late, damaged the wall a bit, and did not clean up after himself.
Description of Work: It was a callback on his original work that was incomplete.

Two standard height bathroom vanities - one 50"X21", and the second was 27"X21". The vanities were disassembled and delivered to Ambra Woodworking by our contractor. We decided to refinish them vs replace to save some money. Remember they were completely disassembled and delivered to the site. Only the front and one side of each vanity was refinished, the cabinets were refinished in brown, no glazing at all, in fact no repair of any dents, chips or anything else done at all, no new hardware When the cabinets were returned, we were a little disappointed, but didn't get fired up until the final invoicing came and the bill was $4000.00.....yes.....$4000.00 we could have gotten NEW vanities with granite tops and everything for less than that. We got into a seriously heated exchange with our contractor who agreed to take $1000.00 off the price right away (STILL $3000.00). I tried to call and talk with the Owner of Ambra Woodworking, he would not talk with me and called my contractor and asked him to have me stop trying to contact him. Level of professionalism = 0. On his recent visit to our house I showed the cabinets to my father-in-law who has been a professional furniture/cabinet maker his entire adult life and he said the cabinets should have cost no more than $400.00 to refinish since nothing was done except paint. I feel this deal was totally dishonest, and the only reason I did not go to small claims court over the whole situation was my family needed to be done and move on. I would be happy to supply anyone that is interested with pictures of the finished cabinets.....absolutely nothing special to look at,...especially not $3000.00 dollars worth.
Description of Work: Refinished (repainted) two bathroom vanities.

Excellent. Hire Him. His work is amazing. Performed service with little notice. We met to exchange keys and he went to the site, completed the work unsupervised. Good value. Trustworthy.
Description of Work: Fixed misc issues in a rental property. Woodwork, electrical, etc.

Danny does fantastic work. Everything was on time and at the price agreed upon. Some small issues came up during the plumbing work (due to my house's plumbing, not Danny's work), and he always kept me informed and told me what my options were. The real "jewel" of the project was Danny's custom vanity cabinet. I was replacing all of the contractor grade vanities in my house, and the upstairs guest bath had an odd size cabinet that was "walled in" on three sides. So, my options were to do a new custom piece that fit perfectly and looked great, or do a standard size that left some odd space on the sides. I decided to go with Danny's custom cabinet, and it's probably the best decision I made in the entire remodel. He built the whole thing and I got to choose the color, the style, the door details, etc. I've attached a picture of it because my description wouldn't do it justice. Everyone that sees it just raves about it, and if I really do the math it didn't cost significantly more than some standard piece at Lowe's (of decent quality, not the bargain bin junk they keep on the floor for the most part). Not much else to say - I'd hire Danny again in a heartbeat if I need any of this type of work done again in the future.
Description of Work: Danny was recommended to me by my tile contractor (F&J Custom Flooring-separate report submitted for him). He did the carpentry (baseboards) & plumbing work for my bathroom remodels, as well as a custom bath vanity cabinet for my guest bath. So recap: Master bath - installed new pre-built vanity cabinet, all plumbing for that; installed new tub faucet; new baseboards Guest bath - built/installed a custom vanity cabinet, and installed faucet/sink; new baseboards 1/2 bath - Plumbing work and installation of new vanity

Dan was recommended by our painters and was a great find ! His work is remarkable....I was unsure how much moulding to add to the cabinets and his input was invaluable! The finished product has added so much more to the look of the kitchen...a real wow factor. The mirrors in the master bath were big glued on contractor grade...now they look finished and custom! ! Over and above being great to work with , Dan is very professional and a real craftsman, Would not hesitate to work with him again!
Description of Work: Installed moulding to kitchen cabinets, (total of 5 panels), installed beadboard to back of open cabinet, built and installed 2 picture frames with sills on bathroom mirrors.

Daniel did an excellent job on selecting the molding and installing it. Our cabinets and kitchen look so much better with the additional molding. Daniel was quick to come to our home to provide an estimate and complete the work. He was prompt, neat, professional, friendly and does great work.
Description of Work: Daniel installed wood molding on the bottom of our kitchen cabinets, so our newly installed undercabinet lighting would not be seen.
