Great job! Richie Barger and his crew are punctual to the minute, professional painters. When done they replaced vertical blinds, cleaned up, and the paint looks super good, no drips or spills, I couldn't find anythng to complain about. I would definitely use B & B again. Please note: The price did not include the paint! I purchased all the paint on sale from Lowes (Valspar primer) and Sherwin Williams (their Cashmere brand in "Cachet Cream" and one gallon of the HGTV in a custom color .
Description of Work: Note: The price did not include the paint B & B painted the interior drywall in LR , kitchen, one large bathroom. Also they painted the stairway walls all the way up to the second floor, another hallway and our loft area. This is an A Frame home with high ceilings. The painted pretty much the whole house, excluding the bedrooms. 1 coat tinted Valspar primer and 1-2 coats flat Sherwin Williams paint. trim and doors painted with semi gloss.

The project was AWESOME!!! AWESOME JOB & I LOVE MY PAINT JOB THAT THEY DID!!!!
Description of Work: B&B Painting painted the whole interior of our home. They did such an AWESOME job!!! I have lived couple different place and they went above & beyond on my paint job. They worked very hard & finished the job on time. We even had to run to Lowes for other things during our renovation & left the painters to work while we were not there!!! I would recommend them to anyone that I know. They took nasty trim & paint and transformed it in to a nice house. I cannot say enough good words about the work that they done. I just keep showing everyone the paint job.

After seeing the B&B truck at a neighbor's house, I called and asked that someone come and give me an estimate to paint my dining room, 2 hallways, and the stiarway. Richie came out on Friday afternoon, walked through my house to see what I wanted done, and stated that he would email me an estimate the very next day. I didn't receive the email until Sunday afternoon. The estimate stated that he would apply one coat of paint to the hallways/stairway and 2 coats to the dining room for the amount stated. Nothing in the estimate stated that he would first apply a primer, even though his website states that every job begins with "meticulous priming before applying two coats of quality paint." When I asked about the primer and the second coat of paint for the hallways/stairway, he stated that this would increase the amount of the estimate...making me realize that his website was misleading. After discussing the amount of the "new" bid ($475) with my husband (who is currently in Afghanistan), we decided to go ahead and have the job completed. I called Richie on Saturday to schedule for the painting to be done. He informed me that he could be out on Wednesday to paint, and would stop by on Monday to pick up color samples so that he could match the paint. Monday came and went and he never stopped by. He did finally call at 5 o'clock Monday evening and now said that he wouldn't be able to paint until Thursday and that he'd be by on Wednesday to pick up color samples. I explained that I already had appointments scheduled for Thursday and that I wouldn't be home for him to come and paint. Richie's response was that he would arrive before I had to leave and would just stay here and paint while I was gone. Please keep in mind that prior to the day of the estimate, I had NEVER met this man. What kind of person asks to be left alone in someone's home? Definately not a professional. Anyway, we decided that he would come to paint on Friday, but that he would still come by on Wednesday to get the samples. Again, Wednesday came and went and Richie never came for the samples. He finally called on Thursday morning (after I had already left for the day) and left a message, wanting to know when he could come by. When I arrived home that evening, I returned his call. I believe that he could tell in my voice that I wasn't happy and stated that I should find someone else to do the job. When I told him that I didn't think he was being professional, and mentioned posting a comment on Angie's List, he said, and I quote, "I don't care what you f***ing put on Angie's List." My husband and I will be sure to give this information to ALL of our friends, co-workers, and neighbors. No one should ever have to deal with someone so unprofessional.
Description of Work: I called and asked for an estimate to be given for painting my dining room, 2 hallways, and the stairway.

I was originally told that the workers could not start because the shower drain I installed was not correct. I scheduled a time when workers could show me what was wrong. I found out at this time that they wanted the drain installed NOT per manufacturers instructions to try to skip one step in the shower pan process. I objected, and they gladly installed the shower floor correctly. This was the first problem. I constantly felt like I had to manage the project. They did not have a tile saw, which wouldn't be a problem for perimeter cuts on tile, but many of the cut tiles show rough edges. Also, they didn't originally lay the backerboard under the toilet flange, but finally did when I told them I would do it myself. They also did not do a good job cutting a hole for the shower light. Even though I pointed this out to the workers when they were still there, I ended up having to correct this after the work was done with some left over tile. All of the backerboard cuts were with an angle grinder. They did not have a hole saw, so all backerboard cuts were rough. This does not show, but I know what is behind my walls! Anne Carter runs a good tile business in Beaufort. She is very professional and has good ideas, but does not manage her workers well. The crew she hires need to live up to her level. At present, they do not.
Description of Work: Laid backerboard and tile on bathroom floor. Also backerboard and tile a shower enclosure already framed out by myself. This included pre-sloped mortar bed, shower pan liner, and shower pan.
