The alarm did not work when I tried to use it for the first time. The technician had to come out 4 times. Three of those times were unsuccessful. He also was a little too friendly with me. I will talk small talk with you but he started talking about his s** life with his wife. He also went so far to call me after he left and talked about his wife and how I can call him anytime. I have four kids and my husband is deployed. I felt uncomfortable and I wanted to cancel the service. Being harassed and three months with out the system working. It was too much. I was contacted by the owner, she apologized and said she will not have him come to the house anymore. Guess what she had him come to my house again with her there. Guess what, he fixed it on the fourth attempt. I felt disrespected and I felt like my wishes were ignored. I did not say anything because my husband is deployed and I try to keep the peace because you never know what someone else is thinking. I have a three year contract with them and I can not wait until it is over. The alarm keychains does not work but I would rather wait until my husband return to have them fix it. Poor customer service, unprofessional, poor quality of equipment. Overall, poor company!
Description of Work: I purchased a new home july 2012 and Allstate security system was already installed. However, I activated the service just because it was already in the home. I have a keychain alarm, window and door sensors for $45 a month and a keypad alarm in the home.

I called to activate our house alarm system. We supposedly went through all the details on the phone, including the fact that we are a military family. Allstate said that our contract could be cancelled with proof of orders if we needed to PCS. The morning of the appointment, as I was waiting for the technician, the Allstate representative called me and said that he wanted to go over a couple more things before the technician arrived. It was then that he said, 'We need to know that you understand that this will be a 3-year contract and that we would need PCS orders AND Proof of Sale on the home in order to cancel the security contract. Is that OK?' My response was "NO, since it's very possible that we will PCS in the next three years; and its very possible with this market that we will have to rent our house, not sell." They did not have a good reason to avoid the Sailors and Soldiers Act, and it just seems pretty fishy that they waited until the last minute to change the contract, as if I would just go with it, in order to avoid delaying turning on my security system. I would never recommend them.
Description of Work: A quote and explanation of the contract....which they did not follow through on.

The overall experience was great. The tech, Anthony was very knowledgable and provided some of the best service I've experienced in a good while! Out of five compnay's I had estimates with, this was the best deal overall! The CSR on the phone, Oliver was also nice. This company is off with a good start with me.
Description of Work: Installation of a Home Alarm Service.

When we had the system installed, we paid a thousand dollars which helped keep the monitoring cost down. They did a good job installing the system as we haven't had any problems yet. Due to the fact that we haven't had any problems, I don't know how good the monitoring is yet. We pay a monthly monitoring fee.
Description of Work: They installed our alarm system and also monitor it.

IT IS VERY NICE BEING ABLE TO ONLY PAY $30 A MONTH TO PAY OFF THE BILL FOR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. THE GUY WHO DID THE INSTALLATION WAS NICE, COURTEOUS, AND DID THINGS IN A TIMELY FASHION. I AM SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT WE GOT.
