Description of Work: Removed textured ceilings in several rooms, primed and painted ceilings and walls, replaced and painted outside soffits. All work was done professionally and competently, and in a timely manner. All existing paint colors were matched perfectly. We would definitely recommend Mike and his crew and we will call on them again for our future painting needs.

He never finished the job.
Description of Work: Only 1/2 the work got done. He hung drywall in bedroom and never returned to tape , mud, and sand. Did not finish kitchen soffit over island. Did not even start family room ceiling patches and only did touch up mud and light sanding on 2nd floor hallway and 2nd floor bathroom. We received a proposal for $1100.00, paid him $630.00 of it. Now what do I do?

Response to Mr. [Member Name Removed], 03/21/2016 I need to clarify the circumstances with this review and customer. First, we completed half of the items that were estimated on the 1st phase of work, over 3 days ending on 12/19/2015, just as both I and the customer had planned. Second, I informed Mr. [Member Name Removed] 3 weeks ago that he would need to find another service provider to continue his projects for the following reasons: 1. After phase 1 of the repairs (which were completed to satisfaction and paid for), I scheduled to continue Saturday, 01/02/2016 and confirmed the start time the night before. When I arrived, he informed me the areas were not ready, he needed to fix a seal on the dog door area, and adjust a header that was framed wrong. I did not get the impression that these issues just occurred to him at 8am that morning, and had I known it was not ready, I would not have scheduled the whole 8 hour day for him. Not wanting to waste my Saturday, I worked around the areas in question, logging 3 hours taping and mudding seams, and touching up his bathroom ceiling, which is now ready for painting. It was agreed I would continue on his affirmation that his adjustments are complete, and work could continue. 2. 25 days later, (01/27/2016), he contacted me via text messages, stating he would be ready to continue, and would contact me in 4-5 days when he was ready, and we could continue. I set aside the time, and did not respond to me. He never contacted me until 5 weeks later on 03/02/2016, when he sent me an irate text, saying this was the last time he would try to text me, wondering why the work was not done. I had been simply waiting for 2 months for him to say it was ready. We take pride in keeping prompt scheduling with our customers, but Mr. [Member Name Removed] made scheduling difficult, and I chose not to risk my tight schedule further. I wished him well, making it clear I would not continue. I also have not, and will not bill this customer for the 3 hours labor plus materials for the work performed on 01/02/2016 as a goodwill gesture. Thank you, Mike Schleter, President

Description of Work: Mike did a professional job on 2 interior ceiling holes. The first from a shower leak. Before patching it, he made sure there was no water damage from leak. The other was a huge piece from a foot from attic. He took time to match 2 different ceiling paints for each room and I can't tell there was ever a hole there. When shopped around, his quote was the most reasonable. Friendly and Professional!

Description of Work: Mike worked with me due to having to reschedule our original time. He showed up on time, worked quickly and professionally. Was helpful in picking paint color and was very careful to cover everything up while sanding and painting. He finished on time and his price was fair and what was expected. No complaints and already scheduling a time to have him come back for another painting job. Now I understand why Mike has such high ratings on Angie's List. He's excellent.

Hi [removed member's name], thanks for the feedback. I was not aware the crack came back. I would be happy to reassess the reason for the crack returning. I always use paper joint tape, and if that cracks through, there is most likely movement in the framing causing the seam to stress. Description of Work: The painting and dry walling that I am able to evaluate looked really good; the down fall is the denial of any (and as it turned out according to Phoenix Carpet Cleaners) abundant dry wall that was mashed into the NEW carpet. No other dry walling had been done on that floor either. It baffles me how this happened as plastic covering was laid over the carpet but that may have been done after they remembered to do it & saw the dry wall mashed into the carpet. The owner even denied that the one spot I found on the carpet was dry wall; same comment to the removable door mat which had dry wall and he stated that it would come out with water. Well he didn't take it out with water and that did not work for me after I saw that he did not do it. He also indicated that he did not have a sweeper with him! It's too bad this outcome because the work itself looks good and the comments he made to me really felt he was educating me about what was wrong with the previous dry wall and support. But it cost me an additional, carpet cleaning job.
