Great work. Took a little longer than I had hoped but the project got done. Had one touch point about replacement grass where the drainage system had tore it up, but we worked it out and I am very happy. Looks great and I plan to call Blake for my next yard project!

Blake Seck of Panoramic Landscapes LLC is very easy to work with, professional and knowledgeable. He provided me guidance when a problem came up (like need to bring in another contractor to repair water damage to back of the house, pavers OR best type of grass for this clime, my yard, etc. I have total confidence in him and will use him in the future for other jobs.

Blake arrived as schedule and was very nice and professional. He got me an estimate the very next day, and was available to begin the work within the week or I believe was not going to be available for 3 or 4 weeks. His price was actually a few hundred dollars less than the contractor I went with, but due to a small oversight with a concrete pad that was poured and had to be re-poured, by the pool contractor, Blake's schedule and my schedule did not work out. He seemed like a good guy and the pictures of the work he provided looked realy nice. I would contact him again if I had other projects.

For a little bit of background, I contacted three of the top rated landscapers to provide ideas and estimate my job (Panoramic, Hutchins, and a third that I can't remember) and all three showed up but only Blake (owner of Panoramic) provided an estimate. Blake didn't rush the planning process and actually visited our property a second time when we decided to add a few extra items to the project. Blake graduated from NC State with a degree in this area of work so he definitely knows what he is talking about and was able to provide advice and suggestions when my wife and I were debating certain specifics of the project. Our project took a total of four days and we can't be happier with the outcome. I took off work so I could be around in case his crew needed any specifics or had any questions. Salvador (foreman) and his other two guys are very hard working. My job was completed during the time frame of 90-100 degree days in June and the guys persevered. I turned on the outdoor speakers, gave them some Gatorades and ice cream to show my appreciation and make sure they were staying hydrated. Let me give an example of how thorough these guys are. I replaced the pine straw around my house with mulch and moved the old pine straw to the woods behind my house to eventually come back and outline the new sod with it and make a nice defined border. After getting home on the very last day of the project, I noticed the guys had taken the pine straw and outlined the border without being asked. It's like they read my mind. We will be planting privacy trees between our house and the neighbors in the next year and I won't waste any time calling for estimates. The work is going straight to Panoramic. He was okay. He came out and gave me a quote and design for what I needed to have done with the yard, but I did not follow up with him, because I got somebody else, that came and did little bit of things for me. I never hired him to come and do landscaping job for me. I think he is very knowledgeable about landscape. and what would be placed where to make your yard look nice. We had a problem of water running in the yard, and he had suggestions of how we would not have water running in the yard. I think he was very knowledgeable about that.

We contacted Panoramic to get an estimate for installing the sod we were interested in for our business. They had the best price and some good recommendations on the type of sod to use and tips for setting up our yard. They were flexible and very responsive on the timing of the installation of the sod. They worked with us on some weather related delays we had in getting the yard set up for the install, and installed the sod very shortly after we gave them the go ahead. Following the installation, they had very good and sound recommendations to ensure that the sod got established and had the best chance for successfully getting established.

They did a fantastic job at a great price and it works beautifully. It was excellent. They were finished in a day and they didn't leave a mess. They on time and they followed up on me. I will recommend the very highly. They filled up my yard except for the grass, you cannot tell that they did a job on the area.

They were good. We listened to everything they suggested but we went with someone else entirely. Scheduling went great and one person showed up to do the consultation. We felt he had some good ideas. He also sent plans to us later on as well.

They are fabulous. They build the walls in horrible weather and the work was much harder than anticipated and never changed the quote. All of their ideas were great. I thought I had ideas and he listened to me but he also explained some things that I wanted to do wouldn't work. He gave me alternatives. When they came to do the work they were way beyond what I expected in terms of quality and plantings and mulching and just how they leave your yard. They do a great job.

They did a good job. We just decided not to go with them. They did what they said they were going to do. What they wanted to do was prohibited. They did do the whole 9 yards. They took their time to look around and they gave different options. I thought that they were very engaging. I do not think that they out price themselves. They were not in our budget. They were good people. I would not use them.

This was a complicated project that involved the removal of an old partially in-ground swimming pool on a steep slope in a small back yard next to a creek. I contacted various landscaping companies and narrowed it down to two based on responsiveness and price. I ultimately selected Panoramic Landscapes based on the positive reviews and the fact that the owner has relevant college degree from NCSU and that he is licensed. The project went very well with crews arriving when they were supposed to arrive. The project finished in a very reasonable amount of time - about a week - which was impressive considering the snow and rain we got over that period. All personnel were very friendly and professional and worked very hard - one night they worked an hour past dark in sub-freezing temperatures! The final price came out to exactly 1% over the original estimate. I was very happy with Blake Seck (Panoramic Landscapes) and would not hesitate to recommend him and his company to anyone. I'll definitely be calling him for my next project.

We had another contractor set for this job but due to scheduling conflicts and poor communication we had to let them go as they were going to miss the start date of the project. This was unacceptable because we had a tight window scheduled before the Thanksgiving to get he job done. We called Blake from Panoramic Landscapes the next day and he had a opening the very next week to do the job before the holiday. They showed up first thing on scheduled start date and if it weren't for rain during the week they would have been done before the end of the week. They removed our old deck, and a collapsed retaining wall and rebuilt both a new wall and patio that look great. They also added a last minute request for a sitting wall in the patio on the spot with no problem. They also removed some old yard waste for free. They will be returning in the spring to install some pine straw and mulch and to re-sod areas disturbed by the patio installation.

I LOVE my patio. Blake was fantastic to work with and was very reasonably priced. As he got into the project, he found I had a steeper downslope than anticipated and did not charge me for the extra work involved. He really knows what he is doing. He was the only one that suggested a knee wall during the estimate process and boy did I ever need one. Blake was very helpful with plant selection and installed an irrigation system that allows me to turn on and use from as picket. Very useful during the hot summer months. I highly recommend Blake and Panoramic Landscapes for large or small projects.

Blake came out in June and wrote up a reasonable estimate for the retaining wall replacement and said it would take 3 people 5 days. In October, I called him back and his crew got started in early November and completed the job in 5 days. His crew did very careful, professional work and the wall looks great. They had to remove the existing ties, level the ground, and carefully cut away underground parts of a ~25' ligustrum hedge that borders the neighbors' property. They carefully layed the blocks, mixed the different sizes to give it a more cobbled appearance, and capped it. Behind the wall they had dug out the earth and put gravel and drainage pipes to conduct rain parallel to the wall and down to the ends of the L-shaped wall. They did a good job covering it with gravel and dirt and smoothing out the terrain. During the wall construction, I wanted more blocks at one location near the peak of the wall and they added more. Blake came out the Saturday before the Monday the work was to be completed and checked to see if I was satisfied and if anything else needed to be done. He added some end caps to the drainage pipes at my request and gave me some additional landscaping advice that I requested. They did a great job, the tan and blue-hued wall fits with the surrounding landscape, and I would definitely hire them again.

Work was quoted in a timely fashion, work started when promised, and was completed as promised. The work came out great, and exactly as designed during our planning discussions. Area was cleaned up and looked like it had always been there. One of the key areas was the use of a foundation under the walls. Other bidders did not include that as they indicated it was not necessary. However, other walls in the neighbor hood that did not have foundations were sinking and falling apart, and Panoramic surveyed the area before bidding. They helped us chose stone, and gave great design advice

I had to connect Panorama Landscape to receive the landscape design which was several months after the original appointment. They were responsive to that request and I did receive the landscape design. But, when I requested a time frame for the plan to be installed they never responded.

Same as above - in an Angie's List Big Deal, the provider offered a landscape design for $99. It took the provider about 6 months to deliver the design. Additionally, I had to do all the follow-up, because I would go weeks without hearing from him. He stated that he had had a burglary/robbery problem, however this did not account for the generally poor performance and very poor contact performance by the firm. And quite frankly, computer loss or failure should not be an issue in 2013 with all the backup options available.

It went really well. He was extremely helpful and courteous.

well report back after the job is done Well its finished and it looks GREAT . A crew of 4 guys came out and within a hour they had remove all the cactus and other plants that we asked to be removed , ground was prepped for weed barrier and next went the rocks . Blake had estimated 3 tons for rock but to took more and without any fuss they went and got more rock and put it down . We had put this job off for along time , if we had know it was going to look this good and go so smoothly we would have done it sooner . So to say we are happy with Panoramic Landscaping would be a understatement . Thank you for doing a great job . and YES we would use them again.

It was ok. Nothing creative. We had some issues with scheduling but, he was very accomidating. He was responsive and adequate in the work.

Update: Since posting this review, I was contacted by Panoramic, and they are fixing the areas that we weren't satisfactory. We are very pleased that they followed up and are helping us. Our experience had some positive and negative aspects. The new drainage works great, and we haven't had any more water issues in our yard. If anything it's a little dry, but Blake had warned us about installing new sod so late in the spring and the schedule didn't work out for any other time. I did get the impression that they are very, very busy. The guys who did the work came out during days that we received an absolutely downpour, and they worked through the rain all day when they could. We had a minor issue with the location of the drain termination and Blake came out and corrected it very quickly. My only complaint is with some parts of the yard that were affected by the work. The area where the bobcat was driven in every day was torn up pretty badly. It was partially re-sodded, but we still have two 6-inch wide tracks from the driveway to the backyard that were killed and havn't come back yet. The guys also left our two trashcans, which usually sit in a dirt spot in the backyard or in the driveway, in the grass and two patches were killed and not fixed (we were out of town or we would have moved them). The last issue was the biggest. The day after the existing grass was removed from our yard, it rained about 5" causing a small mudslide from our backyard around the other side of the house and down to the street. When the rain stopped, we had a large patch in the side yard (6-8 feet long) that was all mud with no grass. The rain and ensuing mudslide were not the fault of Panoramic; it was just unfortunate timing for the huge storm. However, I did ask Blake multiple times to come out and look at it and provide some suggestions for how we should deal with it. He did not follow up, and we are now going to dig up the area ourselves and reseed. Overall, the work itself was as promised. The price was great as well, and we are happy with how the drainage turned out. We were out of town when the sod installation was completed and realized too late that our irrigation system was leaking too badly to operate. Blake watered the yard manually every day for the week we were gone for a small fee and probably saved all of our new grass. We did have issues with the side yards, but since because these areas are now being addressed, we are happy with the work.
