It went pretty well. My husband worked with them on this project. From what I recall they seem to be pretty responsive and came out when they said they would. We did have to have some follow up on their part and on ours.

I was very satisfied with the work and the price. I had a very positive experience with them. The owner came to my home and went over the process with me as well. They did a very thorough job.

We first called Ideal because we were having problems with our old unit. They came promptly to fix it even though it was late in the day. We knew that the unit was about to give out so we started the process of getting bids on a new one. Called 3-4 companies, including Ideal. Of all of them, Ideal was the most thorough in their presentation without putting any pressure at all on us to buy from them. They were in the mid price range so because we were so pleased by the way they handled the repair issue and the way they explained our options for a new unit, we went with them.

The service has always been great. They did not charge us for the visit as they just had to turn a switch on. We have a yearly contract with them. They are very prompt, attentive, and I am very pleased with them.

The experience was very positive. All of the employees were very knowledgable and helpful. UPDATE: 2 1/2 years later. 16 JUNE 2014. Upstairs requirement apparently was not "sized" correctly. Today the current outside temperature is in the high 90's. Our two North bedrooms upstairs have temperatures in the 80"s--in spite of fact that thermostat is set for 74. I recently paid an additional $1700 to have the upstairs "dual zoned." I was not told that by doing so, the other zone of the upstairs would consistently run hot. Well, it does!

They were AWESOME!!! The AC had broken on Friday night and my landlord's handiman called his usual "guy" on Saturday morning. When they failed to show up by Sunday afternoon, or even call with a time estimate after numerous attempts to contact them, I took it upon myself to find someone else. Ideal was the second place I called. The first was answered by an answering service that told me someone would call me back. Ideal was answered by Mike, the general manager who was nice, cheerful, and very professional. He told me the technician, Chad, would come out as soon as he was done with the job he was currently working on and it should be about 45 minutes. 30 minutes later, Chad called to let me know he was on his way. Remember-- this was late Sunday afternoon during a record breaking heat wave. Chad was also very nice and professional. He found the problem (a blown capacitor), thankfully had a replacement part in his truck, and had it fixed within an hour. He checked the whole unit, too, to make sure everything else was okay.

We called early in the morning and Chad came out at 5:30pm that evening. He took a look at everything and diagnosed the issue right away. He added coolant to our system. He was on time, and got the work done quickly. Our house is cooing and we are happy!

I had expected a correct diagnosis and remedy from an experienced service technician. This was the worst experience I have had with a highly rated Angie's list company. On the service invoice he quoted a price of an additional $233 if I wanted a secondary drain pan installed. I guess he knew before he left that the pump would not correct the problem that I wanted service for. I want nothing more to do with this company. I called to have them remove the pump and give me a full refund. The company spokesman was defensive, argumentative and did not accept responsibility for the mistake of the technician(he said the technician did nothing wrong); however, he agreed reluctantly to a partial refund of $344 and I accepted(I wrote it down after the conversation). A serviceman removed the pump and presented me with a check that was $10 short of what I had agreed to. He said he would check on it and get back to me- I never heard from them again.

After the above experience, we decided to start getting estimates from several contractors because we didnt want to wait until the a/c totally broke down. Of the four contractors we got estimate from, Ideal's Bryan, was the only one to sit down with us and explain in detail our options, with no sales pressure. Both my husband and I were impressed with what he said and that it made sense. We decided to go with them. Bryan scheduled our date. The installers were on time...were very courteous and made sure they wore the plastics over shoes. Then a few days later we had the follow up inspection from Lyons, who was also very courteous. So, we have been very pleased with the unit and so far, with the service we have received from them.

. They came out quickly. I am the Landlord and live two steps away from the house so what I know is that they did a great job. They came quickly and fixed it quickly and I am satisfied. They were responsive over the phone. I would use them in the future.

I called up ideal because I had an A/C that was not cooling. The technician came the same day (within two hours). The service was fast, the technician was courteous and efficient. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem with my A/C (coolant level was 3 pounds low). While he was here I had him fix a problem on a second unit (condensation pan in crawl space was overflowing). He replaced the pump. I'm very happy with price and quality of the service Ideal provided. I've used other HVAC companies and Ideal is certainly the best I've experienced. Recommended.

They were on time. Everything had been explained to me personally by the owner during his visit to the site. Everything was done well within the time frame given and the quality of work appears excellent. I would use them again given my experience. so far.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the service provided by Ideal Services and the Trane dual-fuel unit that was installed. The service technician arrived on time for our scheduled initial appointment, did a thorough assessment of my existing duct work and inlet/outlet air flow, made recommendations to improve the airflow to make the new unit perform better, provided a complete quote detailing all work to be performed and did not pressure me to make a decision. After some minor negotiation on the price (Trane units are expensive), I signed a contract and work started 3-4 days later. Ideal Services required no money down with 100% payment due at project completion which was a good option for me since I intended to pay in full rather than finance. The project involved replacing the HVAC unit for the 2nd story of my home, adding a 2nd return to improve inlet air flow, replacing the duct work into and out of the unit with larger duct work for better air flow, sealing the duct work and clean up. The project was completed in one day and I have had no problems with the heat or AC after 6 weeks. The addition of a 2nd return and larger inlet/outlet ductwork has greatly improved the air flow and reduced the air flow noise that was caused by having a single undersized return. So take their advice when they suggest resizing your ductwork and especially adding another return. As a bonus, they looked at my downstairs dual fuel HVAC unit installed the previous year by a different contractor and pointed out that it did not have an outdoor temperature sensor so the thermostat could not tell the unit when to use the heat pump vs. the gas heat. I called that contractor and they confirmed they did not install the temp sensor and they had to come back to finish the job. Ideal also provided all the paperwork for $480 in rebates from Progress Energy. Definitely recommend Ideal Services for HVAC work.

Knowledgeable, friendly staff! They were able to provide a service call the same day! Pricing was very reasonable!!

As I said above this company is promt, clean, curdious, and honest. I will use them for all my HVAC needs.

While I did not go beyond the estimate phase, I would definitely recommend him.

We were happy with the work Ideal did. I am not certain we are happy with the system. Their workmanship was good. We chose Ideal because they were local and their prices were competitive with other quotes we received. We are awaiting the inspection to make sure everything passes.

I called this company after having a bad experience with another local HVAC company and was pleasantly surprised to have a technician at my house 2 hours after calling to check my upstairs AC unit. We were advised that the compressor was bad and would either need to be repaired or the unit replaced. Because our original unit is of such poor quality we decided to replace the entire system. One quality of this company that I have not found with other HVAC companies is that they were very informative without pressuring us to make a decision or go with the most expensive option. Once I called the company to let them know we'd made a decision they advised that it would only take about a day to get our new unit from the distribution center and in the meantime they'd come by and drop off a mobile unit to help keep us cool until they started the work. The day of the installation they sent three techs out who were extremely professional, took their shoes off when entering my home and thoroughly explained everything once the job was finished. This company far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any servicing, repair or replacement of their HVAC systems.

I live in Holly Springs and my wife and I try to patron local businesses as much as possible, however using Angie's list we also look for businesses with a proven record of service. Unfortunately, Ideal Services didn't have any record but I decided to give them an opportunity since they were local to the community. I contacted Ideal Services on Thurs, 4/09/10 and spoke with Bryan who is the owner. I explained that I had already contacted another company on Tuesday, 4/07/10 and the earliest available appointment was on Fri, 04/10/10. The other company could not provide any window for the appointment other than they would call 30-45mins before they were ready to come out. That seemed very unreasonable, even TWC can provide a window of either morning or afternoon. During the call other company also tried to sell me a annual PM service for $249. Bryan indicated they had an available appointment that morning between 10 - 12 and they would call before coming out. I was contacted by Melissa at Ideal Services 15mins before Bryan was due to arrive. Bryan arrived at approximately 11am. He put on foot coverings before entering my home each time during the call. Very professional, took the time to explain what he was doing and expected results. It was determined that I had a freon leak. He explained how much freon my Carrier system was to contain and the amount it currently contained. My system was about a pound low of freon. Bryan explained the cost per pound before performing the top off and explained we would have to monitor to determine how bad the leak was to determine next step options. I was very pleased with the responsiveness, professionalism, price, and quality of the work provided by Ideal Services. I would highly recommend. I purchased an annual PM program from Ideal Services for $214 which was less expensive than quote provided by the other company. Also, when you purchase the annual PM service, the dispatch service fees are waived on any future service call. The comparative service fee for the two companies, $109 for the other company, $79 for Ideal Services. I would highly recommend Ideal Services.
