 + -1 moreASAP got me out of a huge jam. whilst trying to replace a CPU fan/heat sink, I managed to rip the CPU out of its socket, and in doing so, managed to bend about a quarter of the pins on it. these pins are incredibly small, so I was not able to straighten them out. well, to make a long story short, I took the whole computer over to ASAP and for a very reasonable fee, they were able to get the pins on the CPU straitened out and them install it and the new fan/heat sink. I would recommend anyone with a damaged computer to go to ASAP.

Description of Work: Experience was okay. Dropped my laptop off on Sat. August 1st to have power plug replaced. Was told plug would be ordered first thing Monday 3rd and it would probably take 2-3 days to get plug, installation would take 20 minutes. Called the store Friday afternoon Aug 7th to inquire. Was told laptop would be ready for pick up on Monday Aug 10th....but then was called back about 30 minutes later to be told laptop is ready for pick up. My issue was that I had to call to find out what is going on, and the Monday pick up I felt would have been too long. I guess they decided to fix it sooner and I got my laptop as I would have expected on Friday the 7th. Overall the Customer Service could be improved upon. On the other hand my laptop has been fixed and the issue is taken care off. So I might consider going back if I needed to, just to give them a second chance. |

 + -1 moreAm very satified. This was the third repair shop that I had visited. The first one at Cary Town Center really had poor customer service. They didn't have the specialized glass needed, but never ordered anything for me. They just said, and quot;Try calling again in 3 weeks.and quot; I did that. Nothing. They even asked me to call the manager (weird). He said that the glass I needed was hard to get ahold of, and it might be several months. Tried another shop that eventually found itself at the pointy end of a state lawsuit. ASAP Computers was my third try. They were great. They set clear expectations on both time to repair and pricing. They were easily able to order the specialized glass, and my phone was fixed as soon as the glass arrived (about four days). Once the glass had arrived, the phone was fixed the next business day.
Description of Work: Repaired cracked glass on my Droid Maxx smartphone.
