We have already decided to decomsission the older gas boiler radiators since they are difficult to find qualified service people and we already had a backup heat pump installed. Turned out to be a minor (and obscure) issue with a steam pipe introduced by the installation of the heat pump system in the summer. Consequently fixed and no charge because they manage our HVAC systems.
Description of Work: Two radiators not working on gas/boiler/steam radiator system. This service call was to diagnose the problem.

On the date agreed upon for installation they arrived on time and worked very hard to finish on the same day. They were helpful applying for energy credit through Duke Energy. Overall a great job.

They were able to schedule our work when we needed it and did our two homes on back to back days. We have used them for many years to maintain the boiler/A/C unit in one of our homes, so we expected good work.
Description of Work: Two different houses in our family needed new A/C systems. We replaced one very old A/C unit with a dual zone diverter system and another A/C system with a leaking air handler and old refrigerant with a heat pump, thus giving this older home a new A/C and a backup to its gas/boiler/radiator system.

Description of Work: The gas furnace that heats the main part of our home died the first week of December (during a cold spell!) Warren-Hay was one of three companies we consulted with for a replacement. We chose Warren-Hay above the company that previously serviced our hvac systems. They installed a Trane furnace, heat pump and coil.

The tech was courteous, professional, did not waste any time, and promptly diagnosed and repaired the problem (capacitor failure). I cannot name any way in which the experience could have been improved. I would definitely call on this company again.

+ -1 moreEverything was replaced very quickly and it all worked afterwards. Was referred by a neighbor who is a realtor and has used them on various occasions. I called in the morning and they were here in a few hours. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Had to do a little "extras" to make things work as they should but did so without hesitation. These men did a great job from start to finish, including clean up and carry off of old equipment. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants honest and dependable people to work for and with you. I have been dealing with this company for 3+ years now and would highly recommend them to anyone!

+ -1 moreThey came in while I was in the hospital, made the house safe for me. They cleaned the ducts, and installed UV lights in the attic and crawl space to take care of blocking infectious materials coming through the ducts. They also saeled the ducts to protect against dirt coming in from the crawl space. They put a fan in the doorway to pull air through the house. This let them see where any air was coming into the house from outside. They blocked the air coming in all of those places. They also put something above the attic stairs that keeps anything from coming into the house from there. They really worked with us. I would recommend them for anything. We also did a service contract with them to come out twice a year.
Description of Work: I was having a medical procedure, and could not be around germs or dirt after.

+ -1 moreThey showed up on time. They took out my old 35-year-old furnace and installed a new Trane gas furnace. They installed the new NEST wi-fi thermostat at my request (which is TOTALLY awesome because I can control my thermostat from my iphone and ipad!!) I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I called 4 heat and air service people for estimates. Of the 4, Warren-Hay was the absolute BEST! The other 3 failed miserably (and one of them never showed up!!) Warren Hay did the following: 1. Showed up for the estimate ON-TiME!!! and even called me 15 minutes before their appointment to let me know they were on the way. 2. Wiped his feet before he came into my house. 3. The other service companies asked me how many square feet my house was. BUT, Warren Hay actually measured it! 4. The other service companies told me I should get dual fuel (I currently had natural gas). The dual-fuel heat confused me, but Warren Hay said since I was accustomed to natural gas, if I got dual fuel, I wouldn't like it because gas heat is warmer than electric heat. He also said most of the people who wants dual fuel are the ones on propane gas. I am forever grateful for that advice! 5. Warren Hay gave me an estimate on the spot. The other companies failed on all the above (except they did wipe their feet). I am extremely pleased with the work Warren Hay did for me. They also installed the new "Nest" thermostat at my request.

+ -1 moreWarren-Hay Mechanical Contractors had installed my outdoor AC condensor unit in 2003 and I had avery good experience at that time. Now, my evaprator coil connected to my furnace was leaking coolant. I called Larry Warren, President of Warren-Hay Mechanical Contractors Inc. Larry sent someone right out to my home. They took digital photos of all problem areas under my home. Larry suggested that I replace my old 80% efficient furnace for a new 90% efficient furnace at the same time I replaced the coil. He gave me three estimates: replace the coil only, replace the furnace and the coil, and replace the furnace, coil, and the outside AC condensor for a more efficient model. I elected to go for the new furnace and coil, and to keep (for now) my older outside AC condensor which was still functioning. Warren-Hay Mechanical arrived on the day and time promised. They performed an outstanding job for an excellent price. Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism and expertise of Warren-Hay. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone in need of heating and AC service, repair, or installation.
Description of Work: My existing furnace was over 20 years old and the AC evaporator coil was leaking...so I needed to replace both.

+ -1 moreI would not recommend them to others because the bills they sent me was all confusing, I don't think they were accurate. They sent me bills at certain times which I had already paid. Last year, I had a contract with them and they said no. This year, I noticed that I had a contract them, and they said no. Lots of other people would not want to deal with them again.
Description of Work: I used Warren-Hay Mechanical Contractors Inc for heating and AC repairs. I used them just to check the furnace and get it running for the season.
