Ted arrived on time and was very easy to work with and professional. He was able to quickly identity that what I thought to be a leak in the faucet was merely a loose fitting that once tightened corrected the problem...he felt bad that this was such an easy fix for him. That's okay, it was a tight spot to see if the fitting was loose and I was happy that it was a simple solution. Ted then assessed my request to reattach an outside spigot that was not securely fastened to the house. Upon inspection he asked if I would like to replace the spigot with a frost free spigot. I agreed to this because the spigot needed to be removed in order to attach a 2x4 between the joists (this had to be done from inside the crawlspace) and drill a new hole from the outside. Once this was done, the new spigot was installed and securely attached in the original location to the new 2x4. An additional check done was to check the water pressure to my house. I felt the value for the service provided was excellent and the work was done quickly and professionally.

Ted at Dr Drain showed up on-time (with a 30 min warning like I requested). He worked efficiently and let me know the status of everything as he went. Ted was very helpful in determining or not we had issues that arose in the inspection. He explained what some of the problems were and presented us with several types of fixes. This is the third time we have used Dr Drain and in fact, when we call our home warranty company for a plumbing issue, we ask for Dr Drain specifically!

The technician arrived on time and was very professional. I explained what I needed done, he evaluated my current setup, and recommended running a new supply line for the water filter. This required drilling a hole down through the cabinet and floor so that a connection could be made to the cold water line under the house. The installation was very quick and clean. There was some confusion with the billing and the service that I purchased through Angie's List, but they called back within 10 minutes of completing the service to correct the billing mistake.

We had a problem on a Sunday, likely a clogged sewer line. I called Dr. Drain and Ted Bunnell, the owner, called back within a 1/2 hour. He diagnosed the problem over the phone (yep - clogged sewer line) and gave me a quote right there. Since it was a Sunday, he did note that there was a $45 dollar surcharge and said if we wanted to wait until Monday he could come out then. We just wanted it done and thought that $45 for coming out on a Sunday sounded fair. He arrived at the appointed time and was very professional and thorough. Turns out we know a lot of the same people so we chatted a bit, too. I asked about our water heater and he gave me some advice it (it is getting on in years). He told me about how long they typically last, and what it would like to replace it, but did not push at all to get me to get a new one ASAP. I appreciated that. We had a sewer line problem before, about 6 years ago, and Ted's price was about $125 less expensive than what we paid back then. Based on our previous experience I think his price was more than fair. I will recommend him to my friends, and I would feel comfortable calling him for future plumbing needs.

I have AHS service warranty that had a $60 copay, DR drain came out and wanted an additional $525 to repair the pipe. I ended up getting other estimates and went with a local Rotor Rooter (Jeff Vaugn) as he was highly recommended my many neighbors (and over $70 cheaper!).

They are the top! They came out in a timely manner and they were very patient. They did everything they needed to do and answered all my questions well. They were great to work with!

It was wonderful. From the moment I called and scheduled an appointment till he left my home. They are very professional and courteous. I am thankful for the work seeing as I am not in their normal working area. I was referred by a dear friend that uses Dr Drain frequently when she has plumbing issues. She asked them for a favor and they did it. The technician knew exactly what was wrong gave me an upfront quote and that is what I paid. By Monday night I had hot water again. I would refer this company to anyone I know.

I had some pipes that were clogged and needed help FAST. I called at the end of the day, and spoke with the receptionist Crystal who was very friendly and seemed really concerned with fixing my problem. Ryan came out the next morning and took all the time necessary to fix the problem. Located the problem took care of it and then put everything back together. He even cleaned the walls around work site. Was able to answer all my questions. Very prompt and friendly service from start to finish. I would not only call on them again but I would also refer them to all my friends and family.

We called them to install new fixtures in our baths. They came very soon and worked for over a day. One man worked a day and a few hours; the other for a half day. They were prompt and left the areas in good condition. I will call them for any future plumbing problems or improvements.

I would not use this company again. They said the heater needed replacement and gave their quote. The cost to the homeowner with this company would have been $1400 after a $400 credit was applied due to the AHS coverage. This seemed high so I contacted another plumber who quoted $1100 total (which meant $700 out of pocket to the owner rather than $1400). Needless to say, the second plumbing company got the job.

They were a 3rd-party through AHS home warranty. This ended up costing $75 for the diagnostic, but since it was a 'faulty installation' AHS wouldn't cover it. The plumber quoted me $200 to fix the issue, and the entire job was completed in about 2 hours. I was satisfied, he was polite and personable, minimized the damage done to the wall, and corrected the problem.

We filed a claim with our home warranty program who sent out Dr. Drain who confirmed that our hot water heater was leaking. We have a n Apollo unit that also heats the condo. This special water heater has several extra fittings so the hot water can circulate to the HVAC unit which in turn heats the condo. This contractor quoted the complete job at $2,330. They did provide a detailed list of each component not covered by the warranty company. (Note, the only thing covered was the water heater and placement of the unit). The uncovered items were not part of the warranty we purchased. I understand that, and have no issues with that. Basically, our portion (11 items) totaled $1.760. These 11 items were reviewed by two other licensed plumbers and both independently said 4 of the 11 items were not needed per the city inspection code. Those 4 items totaled $715. The two other quotes. One at $1,700 and the other $1,152. Both included the actual water heater just like Dr. Drain's $2,330 quote. Why would Dr. Drain pad their estimate by $630 or $1,178 when compared with the two quotes I received? So I called them to discuss and was told there is no negotiating the quoted price. Even after I received two other quotes, they did not want to discuss their quote in detail. They relied on their standby comment "its required by code". I watched the company who quoted $1,152 install the water heater and what a wonderful job they did. No extra charges and it met all code regulations. I am sure to get a rebuttal from Dr. Drain so in anticipation of that reply and reading their comments on the other two negative reviews, here is my reply. No, I am not having a bad day. No, I am not against the warranty company. Just the opposite, they were very easy to work with especially after I supplied them with the two other quotes. The other plumbers were going to do the same job you were contracted to do, but at a reasonable price minus the $715 worth of unnecessary so called "code" items. No, there were no surprises at the end or up charges. No, the warranty company is the messenger, you provided the quote based on your "professionalism", they only went on your recommendations. No, I am not accusing you of insurance fraud. That did not happen because you did not actually do the work. Attempted fraud? Let the reader be the judge! My reply on their reply. Just as predicted, fell back on the defence of my contractor did not do the work than met code. I also forgot to include the fact that a have a buddy who is a building inspector and he also questioned weather or not those 4 items were needed. (he lives in a different county than I)
